We are riding the non-traditional route here. Most opt for the normal line that descends to Minturn. I prefer this descent, that ends in East Vail. Although it is much shorter, it offers steeper, less ridden and more natural terrain.

Vail, Colorado
The Town of Vail is a Home Rule Municipality in Eagle County, Colorado, United States. The population of the town was 5,305 in 2010. The town was established and built as the base village to Vail Ski Resort, with which it was originally conceived. Vail Ski Resort's first season was in December 1962; it is the largest ski mountain in Colorado.
History
Vail was incorporated in 1966, four years after the opening of Vail Ski Resort. The ski area was founded by Pete Seibert and local rancher Earl Eaton in 1962, at the base of Vail Pass. The pass was named after Charles Vail, the highway engineer who routed U.S. Highway 6 through the Vail Valley in 1940, which eventually became Interstate 70. Seibert, a New England native, served in the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division during World War II, which trained at Camp Hale, 14 miles south of Vail between Red Cliff and Leadville. He was wounded in Italy at the Battle of Riva Ridge but went on to become a professional skier after he recovered.

IFSC Climbing World Cup
The IFSC Climbing World Cup is a series of climbing competitions held annually and organized by the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC). The athletes competes in three disciplines: lead, bouldering and speed. The number of competitions and venues vary from year to year. The first World Cup was held under the auspices of UIAA in 1989, World Cups were held under the auspices of IFSC from 2007. For this reason before 2007 the World Cup was called UIAA Climbing World Cup.

Spantik
Spantik or Golden Peak is a mountain in Spantik-Sosbun Mountains subrange of Karakoram in Nagar Valley, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. Its northwest face features an exceptionally hard climbing route known as the "Golden Pillar". It lies east of Diran and northeast of Malubiting.
Climbing
Spantik was first climbed in 1955 by Karl Kramer's German expedition. The most commonly climbed line follows the south east ridge, which was attempted by the Bullock Workman party in 1906. The ridge rises 2700 metres over a lateral distance of 7.6 km, at angles which are mostly less than 30 degrees, with a few sections up to 40 degrees. It contains varied terrain, from rocky outcrops to snow and ice and scree.

Colorado (
i/kɒləˈrædoʊ/, or /kɒləˈrɑːdoʊ/) (Spanish for "ruddy") is a state in the United States encompassing most of the Southern Rocky Mountains as well as the northeastern portion of the Colorado Plateau and the western edge of the Great Plains. Colorado is part of the Western United States, the Southwestern United States, and the Mountain States. Colorado is the 8th most extensive and the 22nd most populous of the 50 United States. The United States Census Bureau estimates that the population of Colorado was 5,456,574 on July 1, 2015, an increase of 8.50% since the 2010 United States Census.
The state was named for the Colorado River, which Spanish travelers named the Río Colorado for the ruddy (Spanish: colorado) silt the river carried from the mountains. The Territory of Colorado was organized on February 28, 1861, and on August 1, 1876, U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant signed Proclamation 230 admitting Colorado to the Union as the 38th state. Colorado is nicknamed the "Centennial State" because it became a state 28 days after the centennial of the United States Declaration of Independence.

Vail Ski Resort is the largest single resort in the United States with 5,289 acres of the most diverse and expansive skiing in the world, blessed with over 300 days of sunshine a year. Vail Mountain is accessed by three base areas: Lionshead, Vail Village, and Golden Peak. Lionshead is home to the Eagle Bahn Gondola and Born Free Express (Chair 8). Mountain access out of Vail Village is via Vail's new state of the art gondola, "One". Golden Peak is home to the Riva Bahn Express (Chair 6), accessing the terrain park and Northwoods Chair 11, and the race course. Also at Golden Peak is Chair 12, the Gopher Hill Ski School beginner lift. The Front Side of Vail is home to the most groomed terrain on the planet. Wide, long runs such as Riva Ridge, Born Free, and Simba, Lodgepole, and Bear Tree are popular. Check the daily grooming report for up to date info on where the best places are to ski groomed terrain. The Front Side is also home to Kid's Adventure Zones, three Terrain Parks including Golden Peak Terrain Park, home of a 22 foot half pipe and site of theBurton US Open Snowboarding Championships, Game Creek Bowl, The EpicMix race course, and mountain dining restaurants at Eagles Nest (including Bistro Fourteen), Mid-Vail, the 10th, and Larkspur at the base of Golden Peak. The World Famous Back Bowls offer wide open skiing and amazing views. Start by exploring Sun Up and Sun Down Bowls, and work your way back to China and Teacup Bowls. China Bowl offers the only groomed blue run runs in the Back Bowls (access from Front Side via Sourdough Express #14). If you are feeling adventurous, make your way all the way out to Siberia Bowl and the surface T-Bar style lift #22 and Inner and Outer Mongolia Bowls! Not enough terrain for you yet? Follow signage from Patrol Headquarters back to the three high speed quad lifts and Blue Sky Basin. Ski the steep and snow filled sections under Skyline Express #36, or explore the runs on Pete's and Earl's Express lifts (#38 and #39), named after Vail's founders Pete Seibert and Earl Eaton. With so many options, it's no wonder that so many people choose a Vail season pass. All this mountain simply can't be conquered in one visit! -

Vail Ski Resort is the largest single resort in the United States with 5,289 acres of the most diverse and expansive skiing in the world, blessed with over 300 days of sunshine a year. The Arrabelle at Vail Square, Colorado - A Ski-in Ski-Out Luxury Hotel
I just returned from spending a few glorious days at The Arrabelle at Vail Square, Colorado. Located in the heart of Lionshead, and just steps away from world-class skiing. The biggest appeal of the resort, and the first big touch of luxury was when I went to rent our ski equipment. They hold the equipment for you at the base of the mountain in their valet concierge service. The resort has 62 rooms, and private residence condos. We stayed in a two bedroom residence condo on the property with was plenty spacious. After a day of skiing go spend a few hours in their spa. I just returned from spending a few glorious days at The Arrabelle at Vail Square, Colorado. Located in the heart of Lionshead, and just steps away from world-class skiing. The biggest appeal of the resort, and the first big touch of luxury was when I went to rent our ski equipment. They hold the equipment for you at the base of the mountain in their valet concierge service. The resort has 62 rooms, and private residence condos. We stayed in a two bedroom residence condo on the property with was plenty spacious. After a day of skiing go spend a few hours in their spa. All and all we had a fabulous experience at The Arrabelle, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Vail.

VLOG 17 SKI VAIL COLORADO 2017 FOUR SEASONS HOTEL SPRING SKIING ROOM TOUR SKI FASHION & APRES SKI WITH BRIANNA MEIGHAN.
In this vlog, my son and I travel to Vail, Colorado for a week of spring skiing. This was my son's 2nd year at Vail Ski School and he just loved it! This year we stayed at one of my favorite hotel resorts The Four Seasons Vail and as always, everything about my hotel experience at the Four Seasons Hotel was just AMAZING!
I prefer to ski in March because the quality of the snow is still really good, yet the temperatures are warmer so it's more comfortable. This year I skied Vail, Colorado and had the place to myself including Vail's back bowls. How amazing! In this vlog you'll also see my room where I stayed at the Four Seasons Vail Colorado.
It had a standard King size bed, bathroom with large bathtub, gas fireplace in the room and a lovely balcony overlooking the Four Seasons Resort pool and hot tubs - so fun for apres ski. Speaking of Apres Ski, Vail, Colorado is one of the top ski US ski resorts for best apres ski scene. Since we were staying at the lovely Four Seasons Hotel Resort in Vail, Colorado, we really enjoyed Apres Ski at the lobby bar called Remedy.
They had an excellent wine list, cocktails and a very fun apres ski scene. And of course, no ski trip would be complete without a visit to my favorite Vail boutiques for a little winter ski fashion shopping.
One of my all-time favorite Vail and Aspen boutiques is GORSUCH. Gorsuch has my favorite 2017 ski fashion looks such as: Bogner, Moncler, Fire Ice, amongst many others. I just LOVE shopping at Gorsuch when I'm in Vail, Colorado.
