Melissa Natalie Tkautz (born 24 January 1974) is an Australian actress, singer-songwriter and model. As an actress Tkautz had the role of Nikki Spencer on the popular Australian TV soap opera, E Street, from September 1990 to May 1993. During the early 1990s she had a solo music career, performing mononymously as Melissa, and had top 20 hits on the ARIA Singles Chart with "Read My Lips" (No. 1, June 1991), "Sexy (Is the Word)" (No. 3, September) and "Skin to Skin" (No. 16, April 1992). Her debut album, Fresh, was released in June 1992 and peaked at No. 15 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
After her stint on E Street, Tkautz has appeared on Paradise Beach (1993–94), Pacific Drive (1996–98), All Saints (2001–02, 2004), Swift and Shift Couriers (2008, 2011) and Housos (2011). Her modelling career has included early child modelling, then as a teen in various pop entertainment magazines and from 1996 on fashion and men's magazines. On 4 December 2005, she issued her second solo album, Lost & Found, which provide a single, her cover version of "The Glamorous Life", which appeared in the top 40. In August 2011 she issued a compilation album, The Hits and More. In February 2009 Tkautz married a finance businessman, Kwesi Nicholas, her partner of five years; outside her performance career she uses her married name, Melissa Nicholas.
A remix is a piece of media which has been altered from its original state by adding, removing, and/or changing pieces of the item. A song, piece of artwork, book, video, or photograph can all be remixes. The only characteristic of a remix is that it appropriates and changes other materials to create something new.
Most commonly, remixes are associated with music and songs. Songs are remixed for a variety of reasons:
Skin To Skin is a pop song recorded by Australian recording artist Melissa Tkautz. The song was recorded in 1992, and was the first release by Melissa after leaving the Australian soap opera, E Street. The song was written by R. Nicholson, T. King, and L. Berger.
The B-side, "Take It From Me", was written by L. Berger, D. McDonald and Melissa.

The film clip for this song, featured Melissa in a various number of outfits, such as a long black dress, purple shirt and also saw Melissa lying on a satin sheeted bed. Comparisons between the Skin to Skin film clip, to Kylie Minogue's "What Do I Have To Do" are numerous. This clip also saw Melissa backed by dancers, clad head to toe in black and white lycra.
Read My Lips may refer to:
Melissa is a given name for a female child. The name comes from the Greek word μέλισσα (melissa), "honey bee", which in turn comes from μέλι (meli), "honey". In Hittite melit signifies "honey". Thus the name is the approximate Greek equivalent for the Hebrew name Deborah (דְּבוֹרָה), meaning bee.
Melissa also refers to the plant Melissa officinalis (Lamiaceae family), known as lemon balm.
Melisa is a common variant form, with others being Malissa, Melesa, Melessa, Meliza, Mellisa, Melosa, and Molissa.
In Ireland it is sometimes used as a feminine form of the Gaelic male name Maoilíosa, which means "servant of Jesus".
According to Greek mythology, perhaps reflecting Minoan culture, making her the daughter of a Cretan king Melissos, whose -issos ending is pre-Greek, Melissa was a nymph who discovered and taught the use of honey and from whom bees were believed to have received their name. She was one of the nymph nurses of Zeus, sister to Amaltheia, but rather than feeding the baby milk, Melissa, appropriately for her name, fed him honey. Or, alternatively, the bees brought honey straight to his mouth. Because of her, Melissa became the name of all the nymphs who cared for the patriarch god as a baby.

Album track from E-Street alumni Melissa Tkautz's debut album "Fresh" which reached #15 on the Australian charts in 1992. Melissa has appeared in various acting roles since, as well as sporadically returning to her recording career of which she made a brief comeback in 2005 with the album "Lost & Found" as well as stand alone singles "Easily Affected" and "I Want Your Love", and an appearance as the vocalist in the 2012 "Barbie Girl" Australia Day TV commercial.

From Melissa's stunning 1992 debut album "Fresh" came this mindblowingly hot little ditty. Released as her third single, this track reached 16 on the ARIA charts and catapulted Melissa onto numerous magazine covers (mostly TV Week and Smash Hits). Many comparisons have been made between Melissa's Skin to Skin video and Kylie Minogue's "What Do I Have To Do"... none of them favourable to poor Melissa. Rumour has it that Melissa wanted this song released during the Gulf War, and in fact campaigned the Australian/US army forces to use it during their attacks. Unfortunately trials were unsuccesful, as the casette players installed in the tanks projected the music INSIDE (as opposed to outside), killing several brave, high ranking soldiers instantly. MAKE LOVE NOT WAR AND ENJOY!!!
Melissa's 3rd single, "Skin to Skin," was released in 1992 after the debut of her first album Fresh. "Skin to Skin" peaked at number 16 on the ARIA Charts.
