Happy Tuesday Guys, feels good to be back on here. As mentioned in my last post I am thinking about turning this site into a personal blog about me (especially considering now that I’m depressed) therefore if you were here looking for sir Edgar Poe you might try hitting the back button and clicking on another website. To be honest, I am one of the biggest supporters of Edgar but I just can’t get over how miserable I am. Therefore, I write you this post in return, to express my feelings of sorrow.
My life as a painter has been a bit rough…especially on my shoulders, wrists and hands. After a long few weeks of painting you would think I work my hands out daily. Freaking cave man hands. Rough, beat up, torn and bruised. Painting work is no joke, just in case anyone of you are wondering. You might try a different industry before you get into this one.
I have been working part time while trying to recover my failing business, which in return has been trying to work its kinks out.
I have retrieved one of my customers back again so I am one step closer to quitting my slave job lol.
Other than that, I have been spending more time reading, working out and really trying to create some momentum for myself.
My laziness is what made my business go under, in my personal opinion.
Laziness and inconsistent practices are the leading causes for business failures just in case you didn’t know. I am a prime example of that. This is why I am trying to create some positive momentum to get back to where I used to be and where I need to be.
I am in a slump and my body has shown that. I am the heaviest I have ever been in my life and I truly believe that is heavily correlated with why my business failed.
When I was in my prime (200 lbs and per muscle) I was also peaking with my company. The harder I work on creating a better me the better off my company will be as well.
This is why I truly believe getting some positive momentum is a deadly thing. It’s just like sports. Take soccer for example. If you are up by 2 goals you are completely comfortable. As soon as the opposing team gets a goal in and its 2-1 the tides change. You start scrambling around because the other team is all over you!!
You can’t make any right movements when the momentum shifts. This is why positive momentum for your own well-being really helps give yourself a kick to the rear that you need.
Ever since my last post I have worked out all but one day and have closed 3 deals. Momentum.
I am closer to being back where I was and I don’t see myself ever going back to where that dark place was.
I am hoping to use this experience as a wake up call to me so I don’t have to be painting houses for my entire life. Not to mention the additional job I picked up for a cleaning company in the area (Business Cleanse) as well. Luckily it’s not even considered part time but more so just a spot job if that makes any sense. I will be dropping that job now though due to the positive vibes I have started to create as of late.
Until I land 5 more jobs for my company I will still be painting. I am going to use this as a goal sheet in a way so I know what my plans are whenever I refer back. Hopefully this allows me to keep going and to not fall back under!!
Get on trucking my friends, don’t fall into the laziness trap.
