The self is the subject of one's own experience of phenomena: perception, emotions, thoughts. In phenomenology, it is conceived as what experiences, and there isn't any experiencing without an experiencer, the self. The self is therefore an "immediate given", an intrinsic dimension of the fact of experiencing phenomena. In some other trends of philosophy, the self is instead seen as requiring a reflexive perception of oneself, the individual person, meaning the self in such a view is an object of consciousness.
The self has been studied extensively by philosophers and psychologists and is central to many world religions. With the recent rise in technology, the self has been discussed under various new emerging fields, such as Technoself Studies.
The philosophy of self seeks to describe essential qualities that constitute a person's uniqueness or essential being. There have been various approaches to defining these qualities. The self can be considered that being which is the source of consciousness, the agent responsible for an individual's thoughts and actions, or the substantial nature of a person which endures and unifies consciousness over time.

Klinik, (sometimes called The Klinik), is an industrial music band from Belgium, originally formed around 1982 by electro-synthpop practitioner Marc Verhaeghen, who is the only constant member.
Marc Verhaeghen originally formed Klinik in the early-to-mid 1980s; the exact date varies depending on the source. The group is normally described as one of the most influential Belgian industrial bands in history.
In 1985, Verhaeghen joined forces with two other bands, Absolute Body Control (with Dirk Ivens and Eric van Wonterghem), and "The Maniacs" (Sandy Nys) to form one "super group" "Absolute Controlled Clinical Maniacs". This rather unwieldy name was soon dropped in favour of the shorter name "The Klinik". Nys soon left the band to form "Hybryds", followed in 1987 by van Wonterghem, leaving The Klinik as the "classic" duo of Dirk Ivens and Marc Verhaeghen.
The Klinik soon made a name for themselves with their cold and harsh EBM sound and their live shows, where both Ivens and Verhaeghen performed with their heads wrapped in gauze, wearing long black leather coats. Ivens' hissing vocals and minimalist lyrics were complemented by Verhaeghen's synthesizer skills and distorted trombone playing. This however, did not last forever; after Time, an album neither member was fully pleased with, musical differences became too great, and they decided to go their separate ways. In a 2013 interview, Ivens said the due were moving in different directions musically, and that compromise between only two members was challenging.
Fever is a fictional character, a DC Comics superheroine and Doom Patrol member. She first appeared in Doom Patrol vol. 3 #1 (December 2001), and was created by John Arcudi and Tan Eng Huat.
Shyleen Lao was a Chinese American member of the corporatized Doom Patrol formed by eccentric millionaire Thayer Jost. Even after the team disbanded, Shyleen remained slightly active in the superhero community. She, and several of her DP teammates, attended the mass for fallen and missing superheroes in the six part limited "Infinite Crisis" series (hardback). Then current members of Doom Patrol, Vortext, Nudge, and the ape-like Grunt, also appear on panel, standing near Shyleen and her friends. Shyleen's portrait is currently hung in Dayton Manor in remembrance of former Doom Patrol members.
In Teen Titans #59, she is seen in a holding cell next to Miss Martian and Kid Devil as one of the brainwashed captives of the Dark Side Club. Miss Martian attempts to break her out, but Shyleen has already been brainwashed into loyalty.
