Rudy la Scala (Rocca di Papa, Roma; 20 de enero de 1954) es un cantante, músico y compositor ítalo-venezolano que tuvo mucho éxito a partir de las décadas de 1980 y 1990.
La Scala comenzó su carrera con una banda de corta vida llamada "Las Explosiones de Goma", en la década de 1960. En 1971 se presentó como solista bajo el nombre de "Flavio", para finalmente presentarse como Rudy La Scala en 1974. Su trabajo como compositor ha sido muy exitoso, incluyendo canciones grabadas por Karina, María Conchita Alonso, Guillermo Dávila, Kiara, Ruddy Rodríguez, Payasitas Nifu Nifa, Proyecto M, Carlos Mata y Gerardo Mora.
Como intérprete, La Scala llegó a la cima del Lista de Canciones Latinas de Billboard dos veces con "El cariño es como una flor" y "Por que será" en la década de 1990. Es el único productor de Venezuela en la historia que posee más de 12 discos de platino y 9 discos de oro.
Entre sus canciones más famosas se encuentran: Mi vida eres tú, Volvamos a vivir, —que fueron interpretadas para la mundialmente reconocida telenovela Cristal —, así como Cuando yo amo, Porque tú eres la reina, El cariño es como una flor, Por qué será, Vamos a enamorarnos, Si amas déjalo libre, Cuando mi amada me ama y Cree.3
También ha producido varios álbumes de diferentes cantantes y grupos musicales de Venezuela como Guillermo Dávila, Karina, Los Chamos, Kiara, etc. con los que ha ganado varios Premios.

La Scala
La Scala (pronounced [la ˈskaːla]; abbreviation in Italian language for the official name Teatro alla Scala [teˈaːtro alla ˈskaːla]) is an opera house in Milan, Italy. The theatre was inaugurated on 3 August 1778 and was originally known as the New Royal-Ducal Theatre alla Scala (Nuovo Regio Ducale Teatro alla Scala). The premiere performance was Antonio Salieri's Europa riconosciuta.
Most of Italy's greatest operatic artists, and many of the finest singers from around the world, have appeared at La Scala during the past 200 years. The theatre is regarded as one of the leading opera and ballet theatres in the world and is home to the La Scala Theatre Chorus, La Scala Theatre Ballet and La Scala Theatre Orchestra. The theatre also has an associate school, known as the La Scala Theatre Academy (Italian: Accademia Teatro alla Scala), which offers professional training in music, dance, stage craft and stage management.
Overview
La Scala's season traditionally opens on 7 December, Saint Ambrose's Day, the feast day of Milan's patron saint. All performances must end before midnight, and long operas start earlier in the evening when necessary.

Rudy La Scala
Rudy La Scala (born January 20, 1954) is a singer-songwriter and record producer, born in Rocca di Papa, Lazio, Italy. La Scala began his career with a short lived band named Las Explosiones de Goma in the 1960s. In 1971 he was presented as a solo artist under the name Flavio, finally presenting himself as Rudy La Scala in 1974. His work as a songwriter has been very successful, including songs recorded by Karina, María Conchita Alonso, Guillermo Dávila, Kiara, Ruddy Rodríguez, Proyecto M, Carlos Mata, Nifu Nifa and Gerardo Mora.
As a performer, La Scala reached the top of the Billboard Top Latin Songs chart twice with "El Cariño Es Como Una Flor" and "Por Qué Será" in the 1990s. He is the only record producer with 12 platinum and nine gold certified albums in Venezuela. He also performed the theme song of the Venezuelan soap opera Cristal among others.
1970s
At age 15, La Scala formed a rock band named Las Explosiones de Goma. In 1971, he debuted as a solo artist, and under the name Flavio, released the song "Piensa, Sueña y Rie". Three years later, he changed his name to Rudy La Scala and presents the song "Woman", issued in Venezuela, Brasil, France and South Africa. The following year, La Scala recorded in Italy an album with Vittorio De Scalzi, the lead singer of the Italian progressive rock band New Trolls.

Keith Jarrett
Keith Jarrett (born May 8, 1945) is an American pianist and composer who performs both jazz and classical music.
Jarrett started his career with Art Blakey, moving on to play with Charles Lloyd and Miles Davis. Since the early 1970s he has enjoyed a great deal of success as a group leader and a solo performer in jazz, jazz fusion, and classical music. His improvisations draw from the traditions of jazz and other genres, especially Western classical music, gospel, blues, and ethnic folk music.
In 2003, Jarrett received the Polar Music Prize, the first (and to this day only) recipient not to share the prize with a co-recipient, and in 2004 he received the Léonie Sonning Music Prize.
In 2008, he was inducted into the Down Beat Hall of Fame in the magazine's 73rd Annual Readers' Poll.
Early years
Keith Jarrett was born on May 8, 1945, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to a mother of Slovenian descent and a father of either French or Scots-Irish descent. He grew up in suburban Allentown with significant early exposure to music. Jarrett possesses absolute pitch, and he displayed prodigious musical talents as a young child. He began piano lessons just before his third birthday, and at age five he appeared on a TV talent program hosted by the swing bandleader Paul Whiteman. Jarrett gave his first formal piano recital at the age of seven, playing works by composers including Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, and Saint-Saëns, and ending with two of his own compositions. Encouraged especially by his mother, Jarrett took intensive classical piano lessons with a series of teachers, including Eleanor Sokoloff of the Curtis Institute.

You are now in the La Scala square, the most celebrated square of Milan together with the Duomo square. I like to point out how this square summarizes all the aspects which make Milan a city of capital importance: culture, finance, trade, political power and fashion. Let's start with La Scala Opera House. Built in 1778, it's arguably the most important and celebrated Opera House in the world. Sometimes tourists are a bit puzzled by the fact that its facade is somewhat unimpressive. I agree, the facade is a bit understating, but its interiors are amazing, a treasure chest of gilded decorations. And you can see them without having to fight for an opera ticket! Simply head for the La Scala Museum, on the left hand side of the Opera House, and if they are not setting up a show you will get the chance to have a look at the Theatre's magnificent interior.
On the left side of the square you can see the former headquarters of the Commercial Bank of Italy. Financial Power has always been important in Milan, which is in fact Italy's financial capital. The building now hosts a brand new museum, showing the bank's rich artistic collection. It's certainly worth a visit,
because of its collection, spanning from the XIX century to contemporary Arte Povera artists,
because of its unusual setting in a former bank building,
and, last but not least, because it's completely free!
Opposite the Opera House there is Palazzo Marino, Milan's City Hall, where the political power of the City resides. Not surprisingly, being Milan so finance-centered, this building was primarily built as the house of a banker in the XVI century. It is now the center of Milan's political power, and sometimes it hosts free art exhibitions.
Finally, you can see the entrance of the celebrated Vittorio Emanuele II arcade. It was the oldest shopping mall in Italy, built at the end of the XIX century, and it connects La Scala square with the Duomo square. It hosts plenty of elegant fashion shops and features a magnificent marble floor under an impressive glass and steel vault. It also has a kind of sinister flavour, because, its designer Giuseppe Mengoni, died by falling down from the glass dome just after the inauguration - if it was accident or suicide will remain an unsolved mystery.
Please have a look at the statue in the center of the square. Can you recognize it? It is the statue of Leonardo da Vinci, who lived in Milan for 17 years and left here an important mark, symbolized especially by the Last Supper.

10 Things to do in Cambridge Travel Guide | London Day Trip video transcript:
Today we are here at Kings Cross station and we are going on yet another day trip. Another one. Where are we off to? Another day trip from London. We're off to Cambridge today.
There are a number of trains from Kings Cross to Cambridge with journeys ranging from 45 minutes to a little over an hour and a half. Buying your ticket in advance is always a good idea as you can get a better price, and it’s also wise to travel off peak.
If you decide to walk into town like we did, Cambridge University Botanic Garden makes for a nice little stop. The garden has over 8000 species.
It is lunchtime for us and we've walked over to the Regal. Apparently this used to be a hotel, then a cinema and now it is a pub. I've ordered breakfast and Sam is having lunch. I'm waiting for my eggs benedict and I think you're having a Steak and Ale Pie? And a pint of Guinness
Feeling stuffed from that pub fare, we started making our way into town, and it wasn’t long before we came across the River Cam which was teaming with punters. Some made it look easy, while others were struggling, but we had a different idea and decided to go visit one of the colleges.
As a fun fact: The University of Cambridge was founded in 1209, just a few decades after Oxford University, making it the second oldest university in the English-speaking world. It is divided into 31 independent colleges, and our first one of the day was Queens College.
The most popular thing to do here in Cambridge aside from of course exploring the University is to go punting. It is very crowded out there.
So next up we're inside the Great Saint Mary's Church and we're going to be climbing the tower because apparently these are the best views of all of Cambridge. We like to climb towers.
The spiralling staircase is quite narrow and it has to accommodate traffic going up and down, which requires being a contortionist at times, but that’s how you earn those views!
Next up we are doing Trinity College and this is the largest college here at Cambridge University and also it was founded by Henry VIII.
That is basically it for our travel guide from Cambridge. I feel like we barely put a dent in Cambridge. We are back at the station just waiting for our train now back to London.

After the cathedrals of Rome, Milan and London, that of Santa Maria Del Fiore is the fourth largest in the Christian world. Over the northern gate is a relief that is a masterpiece of Early Renaissance relief work. The 3-sided cathedral was designed to symbolise a Latin crucifix. The main body of the cathedral is 153 metres long and 23 metres tall but in comparison with its huge dimensions, its interior is somewhat bare. In the adjoining Cathedral Museum there is a fascinating collection of pulpits that were designed for special occasions by the most prominent artists of the day. The Firenze Academy has altered the face of European culture and at the beginning of the 15th century the young Cosimo De Medici became a follower of PLATON`S doctrine and philosophy. 463 steps within the Academy’s two-tiered dome lead to a superb view that extends over the length and breadth of the old city. With its impressive 107 metre high dome, the Battistero is a stunning building and its Laterna, that was completed in 1572, is a masterpiece created by Brunellechi. The Piazza San Giovanni exudes a powerful ambience and even today it is still possible to feel the remarkable artistry of its historic past.

With something almost Northern European in the air, yet exuding Italian style, Milan is Italy's most cosmopolitan city. Situated on the flat plains of the Po Valley, the capital of Lombardy is both hardworking and glamorous - powerful in businesses from finance to fashion and, of course, football.
But what gives Milan its certain something is its status as the epicentre of Italian fashion and interior design. International fashionistas, designers, supermodels and paparazzi descend upon the city twice a year for its spring and autumn fairs. Valentino, Versace and Armani may design and manufacture their clothes elsewhere, but Milan, which has carefully guarded its reputation for flair, drama and creativity, is Italy's natural stage. This is certainly one of the best places in Italy to shop, or windowshop.
Apart from fashion, many large national banks and companies are headquartered here whilst the automobile, media,
telecommunications and internet sectors have a significant presence too. Milan is the main industrial, commercial and financial centre of Italy and as such, is unsurprisingly business-like in appearance.
In fact, despite its fashion credentials, the city is not as visually pleasing as Rome, Venice or Florence. At first glance, it lacks the wow factor; many buildings are grey, some are quite stark and there appears to be very little green space despite the fact there are many parks in the city. Visitors have to take time and be determined to explore Milan's streets in order to access its aesthetically appealing gems -- and they do exist. Cut through the modern metropolitan bustle, and you will stumble across impressive churches and palaces, the pretty Navigli area, the chic Brera district and lively university quarter.
Among the most notable landmarks are the Duomo, a Gothic masterpiece (one of the biggest of its kind in the world) that looks vaguely threatening when illuminated at night; La Scala, the opera house with an illustrious history and reputation; Castello Sforzesco, a grand medieval castle; Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, an ancient and glamorous arcaded shopping gallery and in a nod to art, the city is impressively home to Leonardo da Vinci's 15th century masterpiece The Last Supper.
However, things are about to change -- and quite drastically. In a bid to beautify the city, former industrial areas have been ear marked for major urban renewal schemes. The Citylife project in the old Fiera area will create a new neighbourhood of homes, a park, a contemporary art museum and a trio of futuristic skyscrapers (one of them will boast an ambitious twisting design) that are set to be finished in 2015, the year Milan hosts the Expo.
Apart from these new attributes, Milan cannot be faulted when it comes to having a good time. The Milanese know how to party -- and they don't waste time getting started. Nightlife tends to kick off at 6pm; enjoying an aperitivo in which locals unwind with post-work drinks and nibbles before heading home is the rule rather than exception.
So whether you're looking for cut-price fashion, an alternative city break or a chance to paint the town red, Milan has undoubtedly got it covered.

A I saved for 3 years while working full time and now travel vlogging is my job. I work together with tourism agencies but also do some freelance work on the side.

Q Where are you from?
A I am born in former Yugoslavia. Mom is Serbian, Dad is Bosnian. During the '90's war we came to the Netherlands and I got Dutch nationality. Have been living in Amsterdam for over 5 years.
Q How can you afford to travel so much?
A I saved for 3 years while working full time and now travel vlogging is my job. I work together with tourism agencies but also do some freelance work on the side.
Q What camera do you film with?
A Canon G7X
Q Why doesn't Stephan want to be on camera?
A Because he is an artist manager and feels artists should be in the spotlight. Way before he met me he already never featured in party pics or anything.
Q Why do you usually travel alone?
A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own.

Day 14 on our Round The World Trip for Food: Rome, Italy - On our very first day in Rome, we set off early in the morning to see some of the most famous attractions in Rome, including the Colosseum and the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. After doing some more sightseeing and having lunch, we had an amazing Roman food at a restaurant in Rome called Trattoria Dal Cavalier Gino.
00:37 Breakfast at the hotel - To begin the day of sightseeing in Rome, we had breakfast at the hotel, and did the final planning of the day.
2:12 Colosseum - One of the most important and well recognized attractions in Rome is the Colosseum and we arrived pretty early to get in, and I also had pre-purchased my tickets online to attempt to beat the crowds and not have to waste time waiting in line. It worked well, and as soon as the Colosseum opened, we went through security and got in. It was an amazing sight to see, especially because it was so quiet when we arrived.
3:51 Roman Forum and Palatine Hill - Locate in the same area as the Colosseum is the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, and so that’s where we went next. Again, seeing the ancient ruins of Rome was truly spectacular.
5:48 Trattoria Luzzi - I wasn’t quite sure where to eat lunch, and located right around these famous attractions in Rome, there are a lot of expensive, and probably not so good restaurants. We decided to go check out a restaurant called Trattoria Luzzi, just down the road from the Colosseum on the opposite side of the road. I ordered Trippa Alla Romana, a Roman tripe dish and also a pasta of Amatriciana. Overall, the food was good, and it was a friendly little restaurant and the location was good. Total price - 21 EUR ($23.47).
10:31 Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano - After lunch we headed to Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano, a huge basilica in Rome. Right across the plaza is Scala Sancta, a small chapel with a 28 step staircase where Jesus is believed to have ascended.
13:25 Gelateria Valentino - I don’t know of anyone that goes to Rome without eating some gelato, and right around the Trevi fountain area of Rome, you’ll find a lot of gelato spots. We tried Gelateria Valentino. Gelato - 3 EUR ($3.35)
14:50 Trevi Fountain - Another one of the most iconic attractions in Rome is the Trevi fountain. We didn’t spend too much time there, but it is pretty cool to see in person.
16:25 Amazing Italian Roman food at Trattoria Dal Cavalier Gino Restaurant - For dinner, my wife and I met up with Valentina and Antonio. After walking through the amazing narrow lanes of Rome, we navigated our way to Trattoria Dal Cavalier Gino Restaurant, where they had made a reservation for dinner. The restaurant is exactly what you want in a classic Roman Italian food restaurant, a family style restaurant that offers an abundance of Roman dishes. We first started with some types of Roman pasta including cacio e pepe, and carbonara, all of which were incredible - the best pastas I’ve ever had. Then we moved on the an amazing assortment of main Italian food dishes, including veal, lamb, and so many other amazing dishes. It was an Italian food meal like I’ve never had before. Most of the dishes were Roman food style. Thank you Valentina and Antonio for the amazing dinner!
Day 14 in Rome was an amazing day of visiting some of the most famous attractions in Rome and eating some incredibly delicious Italian food!
