She was best known for her starring role in the television drama series Dallas as matriarch Miss Ellie Ewing. She was the recipient of several acting awards and nominations throughout her career.
Bel Geddes was born on October 31, 1922, in New York City, the daughter of Helen Belle (née Schneider) and stage and industrial designer Norman Bel Geddes. She married theatrical manager Carl Sawyer (né Schreuer) in 1944; they had one daughter, Susan. They divorced in 1951. Later that year, she married stage director Windsor Lewis with whom she had a daughter, Betsy. When Lewis became ill in 1967, Bel Geddes suspended her career to care for him until his death in 1972.
Jim Davis (born Marlin Davis, August 26, 1909 – April 26, 1981) was an American actor, best known for his role as Jock Ewing in the CBS prime-time soap opera, Dallas, a role which continued until he was too ill from a terminal illness to perform.
Born Marlin Davis in Edgerton in Platte County in northwestern Missouri, he attended Baptist-affiliated William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.
His first major screen role was opposite Bette Davis in the 1948 melodrama Winter Meeting, a lavish failure for which he was lambasted in the press as being too inexperienced to play the part properly. His subsequent film career consisted of mostly B movies, many of them westerns, although he made an impression as a U.S. senator in the Warren Beatty conspiracy thriller The Parallax View.
In the episode "Little Washington" of the syndicated television series Death Valley Days, Davis portrayed Mark Tabor, a U.S. representative from Nevada with aspirations to become governor of the new state. Collectively, Davis appeared thirteen times on Death Valley Days. In 1965, Davis played an historical figure, the wagon master Ezra Meeker, who is abandoned by members of his wagon train who decided to stop the trip to Oregon instead to prospect for gold in the episode "Devil's Gate". In 1967, Davis was cast as the freighter Luke Campbell of Deadwood, South Dakota, in the episode "The Day They Stole the Salamander", a reference to a Salamander Safe. In 1969, Davis played Colonel William G. Butler (1831-1912), who takes revenge on the since ghost town of Helena, Texas, after its citizens refuse to disclose the killer of Butler's son, Emmett. Butler arranges for the San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railway to bypass Helena; instead Karnes City, south of San Antonio, became the seat of government of Karnes County.

She was voted Britain's most beautiful teenager at the age of fifteen. She made her feature film debut in a supporting role of British drama The Smashing Bird I Used to Know in 1969. Dallas is an American prime time television soap opera that aired on CBS from April 2, 1978, to May 3, 1991. The series revolves around a wealthy and feuding Texan family, the Ewings, who own the independent oil company Ewing Oil and the cattle-ranching land of Southfork. The series originally focused on the marriage of Bobby Ewing and Pamela Barnes, whose families were sworn enemies with each other. As the series progressed, oil tycoon J.R. Ewing grew to be the show's main character, whose schemes and dirty business became the show's trademark. When the show ended in May 1991, J.R. was the only character to have appeared in every episode.
The show was famous for its cliffhangers, including the Who shot J.R.? mystery. The 1980 episode Who Done It remains the second highest rated prime-time telecast ever. The show also featured a "Dream Season", in which the entirety of the ninth season was revealed to have been a dream of Pam Ewing. After 14 seasons, the series finale "Conundrum" aired in 1991.

He's used to getting what he wants, when he wants it and doesn't believe in explaining himself to anyone, especially Autumn, the beautiful woman he's been dating for a little over a year. Autumn Singletary is a wealthy socialite who doesn't understand the word no. Her relationship with Prime has more to do with appearances than real feelings but that's of no consequence when Prime decides to end their relationship by publicly humiliating her in the presence of his new interest, Skylar. The bond Prime shares with his boys, Lonzo, Kalif and Dallas has been nurtured throughout the years as the main constant in their life. They are always together. They are always taking care of each other. They are a true pact and have the secrets and the code to prove it. 1080 for life. Lonzo, Prime's very best friend, is an actor on the verge of being the next big thing. He's falling in love with the beautiful Katalina, one of Autumn's best girlfriends. Kalif and Shanita have been together since their early teenage years and she's the love of his life. He's messed up a few times and has children by other women to prove it. He truly loves Shanita more than anything in the world and he couldn't imagine life without her so he takes all of the steps necessary to make sure she's happy and doesn't go looking for anything. Dallas is a super arrogant playboy without a care in the world who prides himself on the chase. Women are a game for him and he likes to take his time. He loves the strategic nature of the hunt and plays the game a little too well. A chance encounter gives Autumn the ammunition she needs to create an unlikely alliance by which to shut Prime down and she doesn't give a damn who gets hurt. As a woman scorned, she was out for revenge. By forming a coalition, she proved she'd show no mercy. Everyone always wants the riches and the fame professional athletes have. "The Coalition" shows us that all that glitters is certainly not ideal and forces us to question how difficult love is within the confines of the industry and all that money can buy.

Few industrial designers have had more influence on design, and proposed objects and systems that changed the world more, than Norman Bel Geddes. And yet he is best remembered for a cocktail shaker. Or as Miss Ellie's father (Google it, kids). Here is a tiny little amount of evidence of his greater genius.

This is the first third of the second Dallas reunion film War of the Ewings from 1998. Unfortunately, my program required me to pay a fee I didn't want to pay in order to upload the entire movie. If you're interested in seeing it in its entirety, please support the Dallas brand and buy the DVD Dallas: Movie Collection.
Bring Back Dallas - Justin Lee Collins - Full Episode (Reunion)
After being up 24-13 the Dallas Cowboys go stone cold and lose to the hot Rams 35-30. What went wrong? Is coaching to blame or injuries? Are the Washington Redskins for real?

Hi GlamAholic's! I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Dallas, TX for a cupcakes and cocktails event hosted by treasure chest virgin hair. It was my first time ever going to the state of Texas in my whole life. While I was there I meet up with Raven Elyse and AshleyDBeauty and we had a sleepover. Even though it was my first time meeting them I felt like we've been friends forever! Roger Waters brings his progressive liberal whiny (but *excellent*) theatrical show to Dallas. The first 1/2 of the show is focused on the music only, not much from a visual angle. The second half is music + theatrics. He pulls a few new things on this concert visually that were quite pleasing. Set 1: Speak to Me Breathe One of These Days Time Breathe (Reprise) The Great Gig in the Sky Welcome to the Machine When We Were Young Déjà Vu The Last Refugee Picture That Wish You Were Here The Happiest Days of Our Lives Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 Another Brick in the Wall Part 3 Set 2: Dogs Pigs (Three Different Ones) Money Us and Them Smell the Roses Brain Damage Eclipse Vera Bring the Boys Back Home Comfortably Numb
A fiatal Willard, akit mindenki tintás Barnes-nak (David Marshall Grant) hív, szerelmes Ellie-be, aki viszonozza is az érzéseit, ám a lány mégis Jock Ewinghoz (Dale Midkiff) megy feleségül. Csakhogy Jock is beleszeret Ellie-be.

I lived in no holy house but the Grand Hotel
The back streets of this old town, I know so well
And I drunk of no holy wine, save muscatel
Now my friend, I've got to go, you tell everyone I know
I'm sayin' goodbye, bye, bye, Dallas, I can't stay
Should have been at the palace yesterday
Bye, bye, Dallas, got to go
And I remember when they told me so
Right now I'm wonderin' where the good times have gone
All the things I never loved when they was mine
Hot city and an empty pocket make a man think on
I've been livin' low so long, I gotta get back where I belong
I'm sayin' goodbye, bye, bye, Dallas, I can't stay
Should have been at the palace yesterday
Bye, bye, Dallas, got to go
And I remember when they told me so
I'm sayin' goodbye, bye, bye, Dallas, I can't stay
Should have been at the palace yesterday
Bye, bye, Dallas, got to go
And I remember when they told me so
Bye, bye, Dallas, I can't stay
Should have been at the palace yesterday
Bye, bye, Dallas, I can't stay
Should have been at the palace yesterday
Ain't no bother, it's understood
Livin' under cover don't do no good
Bye, bye, Dallas, I can't stay
Should have been at the palace yesterday
Ain't no bother, it's understood
Livin' under cover don't do no good
