Optical character recognition (optical character reader) (OCR) is the mechanical or electronic conversion of images of typed, handwritten or printed text into machine-encoded text. It is widely used as a form of data entry from printed paper data records, whether passport documents, invoices, bank statements, computerised receipts, business cards, mail, printouts of static-data, or any suitable documentation. It is a common method of digitising printed texts so that it can be electronically edited, searched, stored more compactly, displayed on-line, and used in machine processes such as machine translation, text-to-speech, key data and text mining. OCR is a field of research in pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and computer vision.
Early versions needed to be trained with images of each character, and worked on one font at a time. Advanced systems capable of producing a high degree of recognition accuracy for most fonts are now common. Some systems are capable of reproducing formatted output that closely approximates the original page including images, columns, and other non-textual components.
Windows 10 is a personal computer operating system released by Microsoft as part of the Windows NT family of operating systems. It was officially unveiled in September 2014 following a brief demo at Build 2014. The first version of the operating system entered a public beta testing process in October 2014, leading up to its consumer release on July 29, 2015, and its release to volume licensing on August 1, 2015. To encourage the adoption of Windows 10, Microsoft announced that during its first year of availability, upgrades to the operating system would be made available free of charge to users of genuine copies of eligible editions of Windows 7, and Windows 8 after update to Windows 8.1.
Windows 10 introduces what Microsoft described as a "universal" application architecture; expanding on Metro-style apps, these apps can be designed to run across multiple Microsoft product families with nearly identical code—including PCs, tablets, smartphones, embedded systems, Xbox One, Surface Hub and HoloLens. The Windows user interface was revised to handle transitions between a mouse-oriented interface and a touchscreen-optimized interface based on available input devices—particularly on 2-in-1 PCs; both interfaces include an updated Start menu that blends elements of Windows 7's traditional Start menu with the tiles of Windows 8. The first release of Windows 10 also introduces a virtual desktop system, a window and desktop management feature called Task View, the Microsoft Edge web browser, support for fingerprint and face recognition login, new security features for enterprise environments, and DirectX 12 and WDDM 2.0 to improve the operating system's graphics capabilities for games.
Top Five is a 2014 American comedy film written and directed by Chris Rock. The film, which stars Rock, Rosario Dawson, and Gabrielle Union, was screened in the Special Presentations section of the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival. The movie follows New York City comedian and film star Andre Allen (Rock), who has to confront his past and comedic career while doing an interview with journalist Chelsea Brown (Dawson). The film was released on December 12, 2014, by Paramount Pictures.
New York Times reporter Chelsea Brown is spending a day interviewing comedian and recovering alcoholic Andre Allen, star of the hit film franchise Hammy The Bear, about a cop in a bear suit. He is attempting a foray into serious films with Uprize, in which he portrays Haitian Revolution figure Dutty Boukman, and sensitive to criticism, particularly by Times critic James Nielson, whose previous reviews of Andre's work have been negative and insulting. As the interview begins in his limousine, Andre recalls his lowest point, when he was in Houston in 2003 and met Jazzy Dee, who supplied him with drugs, alcohol and women. Yet after Jazzy refused to pay the women, they contended they were raped, leading to Andre's arrest.

http://www.OCRTUBE.com - 22+ Countries, over 50+ challenging obstacles within a 15K grueling course (over 80 obstacles if you include the natural terrain obstacles). The 1st Annual Independent OCREC was a huge success! Plenty of obstacles required a maximum effort of upper body strength, and if you were not properly fueled, the course just ate you up! The waves consisted of 10 athletes every 10 minutes. The OCRA Benelux organized event (hosted by the alliance of European OCR Associations) also featured a journey man wave. I can only see this event getting better and better every year. For more information, visit them at: http://www.ocreuropeanchampionships.org

http://www.ocrterminal.com/ Optical character recognition works by analyzing your image and identifying characters as accurately as possible. The video gives a brief overview of some Imaging techniques used by popular OCR software. Brought to you by the online OCR service - OCR Terminal. Transcript of this video: Optical Character recognition or OCR as it is popularly known, is the process of extracting text from images of documents. These images could have been produced by scanners, digital cameras or even mobile phones and they might contain text based information which you might have to edit. Instead of having to retype all the text, you could use OCR to make things a little easier. Let me give you an example - I just scanned a document and it looks like this. You can save i...

Hello! Welcome to my online video tutorial where you will learn how to easily convert a photo into text, for free (like always). This is very simple to do, and should not take you longer than the time it will take to watch this short video! We will harness the Optical Character Recognition, O.C.R. for short, features of Google's Gmail to convert our jpg jpeg file into a pdf. However, there are multiple file formats that we can choose from instead of .PDF like .txt, rtf, and microsoft word's doc / docx. Hope you enjoy this tutorial as much as I did creating it, and please comment on how it is working for you! Links in the video: http://www.gmail.com ALSO, please feel free to ASK how to DO anything and I will make you a video :) Thanks!
