It has indeed been a while, I'm so so sorry. As most of you who follow me on Insta will know I've just recently come back from my trip to Da Nang : ) So here are just some clips of what we got up to, more days to come!

Đà Nẵng (
listen) is one of the major port cities in Vietnam (in addition to Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong) and the biggest city on the Central Vietnam; the city is situated on the coast of the Eastern Sea, at the opening end of the Hàn River. Đà Nẵng is the commercial and educational center of Central Vietnam, with a well-sheltered, easily accessible port; its location on the path of National Route 1A and the North–South Railway makes it a hub for transportation. It is located within 100 km of several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Imperial City of Huế, the Old Town of Hội An, and the Mỹ Sơn ruins. The city was previously known as Cửa Hàn during early Đại Việt settlement, and as Tourane (or Turon) during French colonial rule. It is the third biggest economic center in Vietnam (after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi).
Before 1997, the city was part of Quảng Nam-Đà Nẵng Province. On 1 January 1997, Đà Nẵng was separated from Quảng Nam Province to become one of five independent (centrally controlled) municipalities in Vietnam. Đà Nẵng is listed as a first class city, and has a higher urbanization ratio than any of Vietnam's other provinces or centrally governed cities. In terms of urban population, Đà Nẵng is the fifth largest city in Vietnam.

Traveling to Da Nang, Vietnam - Train, Food, Night View
When I spent two months in Vietnam my boyfriend surprised me with a 2 week trip across this beautiful country. In order to have the full experience we decided to travel from North to South by train, and then take a plane back to Ha Noi. Our first destination was Da Nang City, where we visited Andy. We didn't spend much time in the city itself. First night just walking next to Hàn River. On the first day we visited Ba Na Hills and on the second one we checked out the beautiful Hoi An. What an awesome day in Da Nang Vietnam Travel!! I flew from Hong Kong to Da Nang, Vietnam on Dragonair which is owned by Cathay Pacific and had an incredible Da Nang Vietnam Tour. The day was filled with new friends, great food and surreal sights and even went over the dragon bridge Da Nang Vietnam, good times! The Da Nang food is some of the best I've had, we had lots of street food and didnt see any beaches but spent most of our time in Da Nang city. I LOVE Da Nang VIETNAM and so happy to return; I spent two months there in 2010 and it was one of the highlights of my 5.5+ year trip so far. Train: Thong Nhat Express train, which connects Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, stop in Danang.
Water: There are marine routes to international and domestic ports. Tien Sa and Han River ports are located in a very wonderful position.

When I spent two months in Vietnam my boyfriend surprised me with a 2 week trip across this beautiful country. In order to have the full experience we decided to travel from North to South by train, and then take a plane back to Ha Noi.
Our first destination was Da Nang City, where we visited Andy. We didn't spend much time in the city itself. First night just walking next to Hàn River. On the first day we visited Ba Na Hills and on the second one we checked out the beautiful Hoi An.
I planed this episode to contain all Da Nang related videos but when editing I realized it is way too much :) So here I just include the time and meals we spent in Da Nang and up next I will talk to you more in depth about Ba Na Hills and Hoi An.
I really hope you enjoy this video, it might be a bit too long but after all these are my memories and I really wanted to include all the beautiful scenes we've scene on our train journey :)
If you decide to visit Da Nang yourself I definitely recommend you going by train. If you have a friend to entertain you it is pretty fun and you can not see the beautiful coast and landscape from the airplane - and the food they serve is just as delicious as some street food store. ;)

The day was filled with new friends, great food and surreal sights and even went over the dragon bridge Da Nang Vietnam, good times! The Da Nang food is some of the best I've had, we had lots of street food and didnt see any beaches but spent most of our time in Da Nang city.
I LOVE Da Nang VIETNAM and so happy to return; I spent two months there in 2010 and it was one of the highlights of my 5.5+ year trip so far.

Surprisingly, the train (SE3) is clean and very comfortable. The sleeper cabins were also very affordable. In Da Nang we ate at Banh Xeo Ba Duong which had some delicious Central region banh xeo. Then we came over to Nina's dad's cousins house where she met them for the first time and also where they fed up local and American products. Later in the night we ate some fresh coconut jelly - rau cau dua and then walked along the stunning but smelly Da Nang river side where I discussed how wonderful a modern Vietnam can be. See Vietnam’s Stunning Coastline by Train - Hue to Da Nang - 4K
Our train leaves Hue’s suburbs behind, passing fish farms and rice fields on it’s way to the sea, firstly skirting the shoreline on the level before climbing the hills above the rocky coast, punctuated with deserted, pristine sandy beaches. Apart from the railway there is no sign of human habitation, just natural palm forests clinging to the hillsides above an untouched coastline. We descend back to sea level at Da Nang, here we leave the train for the short coach trip to Hoi An, stopping to see the Marble Mountains where we visit a Buddhist Pagoda and the Huyen Khong grotto. The following day we take a walking tour around Hoi An Old Town.

I start the day at Ba Na Hills in Da Nang, a French castle in the mountains. It was beautiful and very unique for Vietnam. The weather up there was perfect and the cable car was breath taking. It was very expensive though at 600,000 Dong a person. The arcade was free for the most part.
Then we went to Hoi An right away and randomly came upon the best thing I ever ate in Hoi An, the best banh canh ever at 580 Cua Dai St. Opens 3PM to 7PM only. (the earlier soup lady is not her)

Hội An is a city on Vietnam’s central coast known for its well-preserved Ancient Town, cut through with canals. The former port city’s melting-pot history is reflected in its architecture, a mix of eras and styles from wooden Chinese shophouses and temples to colorful French colonial buildings, ornate Vietnamese tube houses and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge with its pagoda.

Early in the morning we left Phong Nha to go to Dong Hoi's train station where we got on a Vietnamese train headed towards Da Nang. Surprisingly, the train (SE3) is clean and very comfortable. The sleeper cabins were also very affordable. In Da Nang we ate at Banh Xeo Ba Duong which had some delicious Central region banh xeo. Then we came over to Nina's dad's cousins house where she met them for the first time and also where they fed up local and American products. Later in the night we ate some fresh coconut jelly - rau cau dua and then walked along the stunning but smelly Da Nang river side where I discussed how wonderful a modern Vietnam can be. Not only will this help the people locally economically, but it will allow the rest of the world to have a different vision of Vietnam, the Vietnam of today and not the Vietnam of the rural past.

Our train leaves Hue’s suburbs behind, passing fish farms and rice fields on it’s way to the sea, firstly skirting the shoreline on the level before climbing the hills above the rocky coast, punctuated with deserted, pristine sandy beaches. Apart from the railway there is no sign of human habitation, just natural palm forests clinging to the hillsides above an untouched coastline. We descend back to sea level at Da Nang, here we leave the train for the short coach trip to Hoi An, stopping to see the Marble Mountains where we visit a Buddhist Pagoda and the Huyen Khong grotto. The following day we take a walking tour around Hoi An Old Town.

Trước thông tin 12 lô đất ven biển Đà Nẵng có giá trị hàng chục tỷ đồng lại được đứng tên bởi một người có mức thu nhập thấp, từng là lái xe nhiều năm cho bố ông Nguyễn Xuân Anh – Bí thư Thành ủy Đà Nẵng không khỏi khiến dư luận đặt nghi vấn. Mới đây, Bí thư Xuân Anh còn khẳng định: “Nếu ai phát hiện tôi có một lô đất nào ngoài căn nhà đang ở, tôi sẽ từ chức Bí thư Thành ủy”.

Lý giải về việc mua 12 lô đất, ông Cang từng trả lời PV rằng: “Khi đi làm ăn tôi có tích lũy được ít tiền, trong số 12 lô đất tôi mua có một phần ít tiền của tôi, còn lại là tôi đứng tên mua giúp cho một người. Còn người đó là ai thì xin phép tôi không cung cấp cho báo chí được, vì đó là chuyện làm ăn riêng tư của chúng tôi”.
Tuy nhiên, nghe tin con trai mua lô đất 60 tỷ ven biển Đà Nẵng, mẹ ông Cang là bà Vọng lại khá bất ngờ trước thông tin trên. Bà sửng sốt cho hay, gia đình khó khăn, làm không đủ ăn, Cang còn phải xin bà tiền mua sữa cho con và thậm chí vay tiền trả góp mua xe máy. “… Nó (ông Cang) làm việc ở sân bay nhưng lương tháng khoảng 4 triệu. Vợ nó là hộ lý ở bệnh viện Đa khoa Đà Nẵng, lương khoảng 2 triệu. Tổng thu nhập vợ chồng nó chỉ đủ ăn tiêu, đi đám cưới. Tiền mua sữa cho con của hai vợ chồng còn thiếu trước hụt sau, nhiều lần phải xin tiền tôi. Thậm chí tiền học nhiều lúc vợ chồng nó cũng xin tiền tôi để đóng. Tiền ăn uống trong gia đình tôi lo tất từ tiền lương hưu hơn 5 triệu của chồng. Kinh tế vợ chồng nó như vậy lấy đâu ra tiền mà mua đất đến 12 lô?…”, theo báo Trí Thức Trẻ.
Rõ ràng, với thu nhập hai vợ chồng 6 triệu/tháng, gia đình ông Cang thậm chí còn thiếu trước hụt sau thì tiền đâu mà mua 1 lô, chứ đừng nói 12 lô liền kề sân bay Cát Mặn? Ông Cang cũng thừa nhận “đứng tên mua giúp cho một người”, vậy người đó là ai mà tin tưởng, giao cho ông Cang đứng tên 12 lô đất với giá trị khoảng 60 tỷ đồng như thế? Tại sao lại phải “nhờ”, nếu như không phải là để che giấu danh tính, che mắt dư luận?
Việc ông Cang sở hữu 12 lô đất giá trị ven biển Đà Nẵng đã gây xôn xao dư luận thời gian qua với nhiều nghi vấn. Đặc biệt những lô đất này đều sát với sân bay quân sự Nước Mặn – một vị trí then chốt để phòng thủ bờ biển Đà Nẵng. Người mà ông Cang đứng tên mua giúp là ai? Và ai là người trung gian giúp cho giao dịch mua bán này được thành công? Đến nay vẫn chưa có câu trả lời.
