The redevelopment of Level 2 of the Baillieu Library has reached its half-way point. The newly renovated south and central spaces are now open, offering a variety of seating with power. Books in the 400s, 500s, 600s and 800s have been moved to the new space and are fully accessible.

On Friday 28th both the Digitised Collections and Course-Work repositories will be upgraded to version 5.6 of the DSpace platform. The system will be unavailable for search, access and submission of new items from 6pm.

The Fellowship is a partnership of the John Truscott Design Foundation and the University of Melbourne Library. The Fellowship is awarded to a scholar or writer to prepare a manuscript biography of John Truscott (1936 – 1993), best known for his work in film and theatre design, as well as an artistic director. A major legacy of John Truscott is the interior of the Victorian Arts Centre, where much of his original work remains intact.

Further renovations will follow on the second floor between March and November, to create a light, bright space with more seating (and more power points!).
