    The Proud Boys as an organization has all-but self-destructed following reports that the FBI designated them an extremist group. During a press briefing in Portland today, FBI seems to suggest that this was a mischaracterization by Clark Co authorities

    FBI Special Agent in Charge Renn Cannon says FBI did not intend to designate Proud Boys as an extremist group during a recent briefing of Clark County law enforcement - but tried to characterize the potential for violence from individuals within that group.

    So begins another reporting cycle on an extremist group that isn't yet a household name, and won't be until something horrible happens. This research ALWAYS starts with anti-fascist activists like , who has been identifying violent powder kegs for a while now
