Car glass includes windscreens, side and rear windows, and glass panel roofs on a vehicle. Side windows can be either fixed or be raised and lowered by depressing a button (power window) or switch or using a hand-turned crank. The power moonroof, a transparent, retractable sunroof, may be considered as an extension of the power window concept. Some vehicles include sun blinds for rear and rear side windows. The window shield of a car is appropriate for safety and protection of debri in the road. It also comforts the driver as well. The majority of car glass is held in place by glass run channels, which also serve to contain any fragments of glass if the glass breaks.
Today most cars use laminated glass as it does not shatter in sharp pieces and so does not harm the driver and passengers.
The .500 S&W Magnum (12.7×41mmSR) is a fifty-caliber semi-rimmed handgun cartridge developed by Cor-Bon in partnership with the Smith & Wesson "X-Gun" engineering team for use in the Smith & Wesson Model 500 X-frame revolver and introduced in February 2003 at the SHOT show. Its primary design purpose was as a hunting handgun cartridge capable of taking all North American game species.
Smith & Wesson had been at the forefront when developing powerful handgun cartridges such as the .357 S&W Magnum and the .44 Remington Magnum. However, since 1960 the company’s .44 Remington Magnum, which it had developed in partnership with Remington, was eclipsed by the .454 Casull. Since then, several other more powerful cartridges had been developed by Action Arms, Linebaugh, Ruger, Wildey, and Winchester for repeating handguns.
In 1971 Smith & Wesson had experienced a dramatic surge in orders for their Model 29 revolver in the .44 Magnum cartridge with which S&W production was not able to keep up. Available Model 29 revolvers were being sold for two to three times the suggested retail price, due to the low supply and high demand for the revolver. This surge in demand was due to the Dirty Harry movie, where the Model 29 revolver was billed as the most powerful revolver (The .454 Casull designed in 1955 would not be in commercial production until the 21st century). With the entry of the .500 S&W Magnum and the Model 500 revolver, Smith & Wesson recaptured the title of the most powerful handgun, and with it an increase in sales.
Blow Out is a 1981 thriller film, written and directed by Brian De Palma. The film stars John Travolta as Jack Terry, a movie sound effects technician from Philadelphia who, while recording sounds for a low-budget slasher film, serendipitously captures audio evidence of an assassination involving a presidential hopeful. Nancy Allen stars as Sally Bedina, a young woman involved in the crime. The supporting cast includes John Lithgow and Dennis Franz. The film's tagline in the advertisements summarize the movie: "Murder has a sound all of its own".
The film is directly based on Michelangelo Antonioni's 1966 film Blow Up, substituting the medium of photography with the medium of audio recording. The concept of Blow Out came to De Palma while he was working on the thriller Dressed to Kill (1980). The film was shot in the late autumn and winter of 1980 in various Philadelphia locations on a relatively substantial budget of $18 million.
Blow Out opened to minuscule audience interest in 1981; however it received a mostly positive critical reception. The lead performances by Travolta and Allen, the direction by DePalma and the visual style were cited as the strongest points of the film. Critics also recognised the stylistic and narrative connection to the work of Alfred Hitchcock, whom DePalma admires. Over the years since its initial theatrical release, it has developed status as a cult film and received a home media release by the Criterion Collection, a company who specialise in "important classic and contemporary film", which re-ignited public interest in the film.
Year 500 (D) was a leap year starting on Saturday (link will display the full calendar) of the Julian calendar. At the time, it was known as the Year of the Consulship of Patricius and Hypatius (or, less frequently, year 1253 Ab urbe condita). The denomination 500 for this year has been used since the early medieval period, when the Anno Domini calendar era became the prevalent method in Europe for naming years.

Today on Kentucky Ballistics we shoot some bulletproof glass with a Smith and Wesson 500 Magnum! This piece of bulletproof glass is about 4 inches thick and weighs close to 110 pounds! We shoot it with several different types of ammunition and see what kind of damage each round does. In this video we also have our first encounter with the Tactical T-Rex! Most people don’t know that the state of Kentucky has T-Rexs. There aren’t a lot of them, but they are out there. When a T-Rex finds some land it likes, they tend to stay there and guard it. One has moved in on our property. I call him the Tactical T-Rex because somehow he has an AK-47 in his possession and he roams the property with it! We are going to have to be careful when we are out there. The gun used in this video is a Smith & W...

The car was packed and we were ready to go
The possibilities endless as the open road
The drive was long and pushed into the night
It didn't seem so bad cause everything was perfectly alright
A thousand miles from home
Our minds were even further
Car window shattered
It didn't even matter at all, matter at all
Blue skies stretched into endless sea
Everyday we rolled through lights so green
Our humble basement suite in disarray
The car towed away because we didn't pay
I woke up at 6am excited
When it finally started the crowd ignited
The final night we spent sitting in the park
We sat there reminiscing long past dark
Sometimes it's the little things that make you think about life and make you wonder what it means
Sometimes it's the little things that make you think about life and make you wonder what it means
Does it even matter at all?
