The Bureau of Meteorology makes a number of real-time forecast and observation products available for free via FTP.

Climate and Oceans
The Bureau offers access its extensive past weather and climate information archives. Much of this information is freely available for immediate download.
We also offer a range of specialised climate services such as certified extracts (legal), storm confirmations, data subscriptions and custom analyses (charges may apply).

Water
As part of the Improving Water Information Program, the Bureau provides free web access to consistent, integrated national water information, suitable for a range of uses. Most services can be accessed by the Bureau's Water Information webpage. Some customised data requests can also be accommodated to registered users only.
Environment
The Bureau's Environmental Information Programme develops products and services and leads cross-agency activities to improve Australia's environmental information base.
Major data activities within the programme include the Marine Water Quality Dashboard, the National Environmental Information Infrastructure, the bioregional assessments programme and maintaining the Environmental Information Products and Services Directory.
