The University of Maryland’s Department of Anthropology is hosting a conference on the “Latino Diaspora and the Great Central American Migration.” The conference will include a 5 p.m. screening of the “Harvest of Empire” film by Democracy Now!’s Juan González followed by a public talk on his new book RECLAIMING GOTHAM: Bill de Blasio and the Movement to End America’s Tale of Two Cities. Juan will sign books after the talk.
