The city’s transport system is being restructured. Already all Metro and ISAP stations have had entrance and exit bars installed, new machines have been fitted on buses, ticket offices of the notorious e-ticket have been opened in stations and at various points in Athens.
In an environment of the State and the bosses’ total assault, to their attack on the world of work with wage cuts, dissolution of social security and funding cuts in social services, has been added the restructuring of the mass transit system. OASA claims it cannot cover expenses – at the same time executives are plundering its funds and giving millions of euros for the implementation of these measures (many thousands of euros will be given just for the advertising campaign of this restructuring to convince of its necessity).

Recently we spoke with Dezeray about her organizing with Mutual Aid Disaster Relief (MADR) in the weeks since Hurricane Irma and how spaces such as the hub in Tampa are crucial sites for building solidarity and stability during times of crisis. They’ve had an overwhelming amount of support from the local community, especially those who have realized the practice of mutual aid is a part of the work of anarchist, anti-fascist, and anti-racist struggles. The Reverend Dr. Russell Meyer from St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tampa—the church that has provided the building now known as “the hub,”—noted during a sermon following Hurricane Irma, “a week ago these people were known as Black Lives Matter, Antifa, Terrorists. Have you ever seen a terrorist show up to a child with Pedialyte in their hand?”

BARRICADES OUTSIDE THE UNIVERSITY OF CHILE FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
Encapuchadxs (hooded ones) raised barricades and clashed with FF.EE (Carabineros Special Forces) in the vicinity of the University of Chile (FASCO) in commemoration of the murdered and disappeared during the civil-military dictatorship.
This October, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) will hold their annual conference in Philadelphia. This is a call for an ambitious mobilization to directly disrupt the conference, to publicly spread an explicitly anti-police position, and to attempt to open up space that is hostile to state control. We hope to do so using both coordinated and decentralized, autonomous actions in the area immediately surrounding the conference in Center City and throughout Philly.

We are confronting technology to the extent that it is a tool in the hand of the bosses and capitalism, taking away our capabilities practical or not. Pipelines are war; one built from the insatiable greed of corporations which have normalized violence against the land and its living. Our resolve within this struggle intensifies with each audacious assault Enbridge launches; each time they dismiss the concerns and requests of Indigenous Nations. Every court proceeding. Every act of intimidation. Every lie or false claim of safety or necessity. We’ve had enough.
So back when Enbridge started shipping in pipeline segments for their line 10 expansion, we started sabotaging them.

From this Monday, August 28, almost two months since the end of the G20, the trials began against the accused persons, all of whom are being held on remand in Hamburg.
Two trials are already over and further court appearances are expected in the coming days.
