WFMU’s 2017 Mini Record Fair

TODAY ONLY! It’s a benefit for WFMU!

Help support by coming out and buying our records. Today only, at our very own Montgomery Hall: 43 Montgomery Street, Jersey City, NJ.

We’ll be selling our own stock of LPs & CDs to help raise money for the October fundraiser.

If that’s not enticing enough, WFMU DJs will dealing and spinning their own records all day.

Don’t miss The Ponderosa Stomp live broadcast from New Orleans: Oct 7th, 1-6pm

WFMU and our sister station in New Orleans, WWOZ join forces again for a remote broadcast from New Orleans to celebrate The 2017 Ponderosa Stomp on Oct 7th from 1-6pm. Dave The Spazz and Todd-O-Phonic Todd join forces with Swamp Boogie and The Boudin Man and a cast of thousands to create mayhem and mirth, both musical and otherwise. Stomp performers include Gary U.S. Bonds, The Mummies, Roky Erickson, Barbara Lynn, Carla Thomas, The Gories and many more! The mischief takes place at The Ace Hotel, if you are in the neighborhood feel free to stop by!

SATURDAY October 14 at 8pm Join us at Montgomery Hall for WFMU’s Live Band Karaoke Benefit! Our band of EXPERT musicians has learned a catalog of 70’s FM rock, AM Gold and punk classix for you to sing.

Wanna reserve your song in advance? A $15 dollar advance donation gains you free admission to the event, plus a guaranteed slot in the show! Make your $15 donation via Paypal  at donate@wfmu.org and don’t forget to email your song request to The Band.

Remembering Wm. Berger & My Castle Of Quiet

Wm. (Bill) Berger was a beloved friend, musician, and longtime WFMU DJ. His long-running program, My Castle Of Quiet“,” had 16 years of show archives and his own Free Music Archive curator page is home to nearly 200 live tracks from his radio show. Wm. Berger will be remembered for his good humor, kind spirit, and devoted love of music and film. He was well-known at WFMU and his legacy will live on through the WFMU archives and the lasting influence he made on everyone he met. He will be dearly missed.
