As part of the Tapysteria Hacks series, I chose to embroider this quote which highlights the bluntness of humanity’s relationship with the wilderness. The Tapysteria Hacks works take discarded and abandoned embroidery works and give them a new – and political – voice.
The work was produced for Compassionate Voices, 2014. Proceeds raised from this exhibition and auction support the work of Voiceless, the animal protection institute. The exhibition was curated by Liane Rossler.
