Dave's long run: Stunning drone footage captures Wheatbelt ramble

A Perth photographer has spent nearly two-and-a-half months capturing spectacular drone footage across the WA countryside.

Josh Carr and his friend filmed around 20 different sections of Mukinbudin region in the north-east Wheatbelt over the course of July and September, and edited the final product together into one seamless two-and-a-half minute video.

Mr Carr's friend – known only as Dave – can be seen running across various terrain including farm paddocks, bush tracks, mud flats and canola fields.

In the footage, Dave takes a quick dip in a dam, kayaks through a river and finishes up in a powered parachute.

The short video was filmed by Carr & Drone as a part of the Mukinbudin Spring Festival, and Mr Carr said he aimed to showcase a unique birds-eye view of the surrounding shires.

"All together, [it took] about 35 hours of work to create this video. Approximately 24 of that [was] travelling and filming, and the rest in post-production," he said.

Mr Carr said he employed his friend to be the star of the video, and shot the video on a DJI Mavic Pro Drone Camera.
