Responsibilities & Skills

A job in human resources and recruitment can take on a few different forms. You may be employed in a large organization, a small company, or a recruitment agency, and the position's level of responsibility will depend on the employer. However, a talent for communication as well as strong administrative and research skills are needed in these fields generally. Recruiters will find that travel is necessary for many positions so a willingness to travel and a flexible schedule may entice potential employers.

Required Qualifications

• A university degree, college diploma, or professional development program in human resources may be needed
• Certification as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) may be required
