Bede (/ˈbiːd/ BEED; Old English: Bǣda or Bēda; 672/673 – 26 May 735), also referred to as Saint Bede or the Venerable Bede (Latin: Bēda Venerābilis), was an English monk at the monastery of Saint Peter at Monkwearmouth and its companion monastery, Saint Paul's, in modern Jarrow (see Monkwearmouth-Jarrow), County Durham, both of which were then in the Kingdom of Northumbria. He is well known as an author and scholar, and his most famous work, Historia ecclesiastica gentis Anglorum (The Ecclesiastical History of the English People) gained him the title "The Father of English History".
In 1899, Bede was made a Doctor of the Church by Pope Leo XIII; he is the only native of Great Britain to achieve this designation (Anselm of Canterbury, also a Doctor of the Church, was originally from Italy). Bede was moreover a skilled linguist and translator, and his work made the Latin and Greek writings of the early Church Fathers much more accessible to his fellow Anglo-Saxons, contributing significantly to English Christianity. Bede's monastery had access to an impressive library which included works by Eusebius and Orosius, among many others.
The Master of Laws is an academic degree, pursued by those either holding an undergraduate academic law degree, a professional law degree, or an undergraduate degree in a related subject. In some jurisdictions the "Master of Laws" is the basic professional degree for admission into legal practice. It is commonly abbreviated LL.M., from the Latin Legum Magister (meaning "master of laws").
To become a lawyer and practice law in most states and countries, a person must first obtain a law degree. While in most common law countries a Bachelor of Laws (or LL.B.) is required, the U.S. and Canada generally require a professional doctorate, or Juris Doctor, to practice law .
The Juris Doctor (J.D.) is a professional doctorate and first professional graduate degree in law. The degree is earned by completing law school in the United States, Canada, Australia, and other common law countries. Many who hold the degree of Juris Doctor are professionals committed to the practice of law, and may choose to focus their practice on criminal law, tort, family law, corporate law, and/or a wide range of other areas.
Lovin' Life is an album from Contemporary Christian, Southern Gospel group Gaither Vocal Band. The album was released on April 15, 2008.
At the 40th GMA Dove Awards, Lovin' Life won a Dove Award for Southern Gospel Album of the Year. Also, the song "Jesus & John Wayne" was nominated for Country Recorded Song of the Year. The album also won a Grammy Award for Best Southern, Country, or Bluegrass Gospel Album at the 51st Grammy Awards.
"And I" is a song written by American R&B singer Ciara, and produced by Adonis Shropshire for Ciara's first album, Goodies (2004). It was released as the album's fourth and final single on August 30, 2005 (see 2005 in music) in North America.
The song was originally the third choice for the fourth single. Ciara has mentioned in an interview that "Thug Style", "Hotline" or "Pick up the Phone" would be the fourth single, but when Ciara suggested "And I" to executives at her previous record label LaFace, they were unhappy because they wanted "Next to You" to be the fourth single.
At the time of the U.S. release of "And I", Ciara's collaboration with Bow Wow, "Like You", and her collaboration with Missy Elliott, "Lose Control", were at the height of their popularity. "And I" peaked at 96 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and 27 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart, which were poor positions compared to those attained by the first three singles from the album Goodies. It was not released outside North America because of this, and it is Ciara's least successful single.
In Jin Moon is the former president of the Unification Church of the United States and a daughter of Unification Church founder Reverend Sun Myung Moon and his wife Hak Ja Han. She stepped down from her role after it was revealed that she had an extra marital affair and birthed a child out of wedlock. Moon was born in South Korea in 1965 and moved with her family to the United States in 1973. She studied political science and philosophy at Columbia University and pursued her graduate studies at Harvard Divinity School. In the 1980s, Moon spoke at public rallies in support of her father who was convicted of tax fraud by the United States government.
In 2008 Moon assumed the position of CEO at New York City’s Manhattan Center, and implemented a restructuring. She was appointed President and CEO of HSA-UWC America in August 2008 and worked to modernize the church's worship style in an effort to bring in younger members. In 2011, she spoke at an inter-religious conference on religious freedom in Washington DC. In 2012 she resigned from public life following her divorce and remarriage.

Sunday Service from America The Historic Path We Walk as We Seek To Live the Truth Rev. Michael Jenkins July 15, 2012 Good morning, brothers and sisters. Please be seated. I want to thank Sonic Cult and Joe for their great work to develop our music and praise, and also Kennedy and Alexis, our professional singers, who are bringing such a great spirit. Let’s give them a hand. First, I want to thank God and True Parents, and especially our national president and senior pastor, Rev. In Jin Moon, for allowing me to be with you this morning. And I want to say hello to all the brothers and sisters in all 50 states and around the world: all our Unification family. Praise the Lord! Also I want to say a special hello to the American Clergy Leadership Conference leaders and volunteers thro...
Speaking God’s Language of the Heart Rev. Kevin Thompson February 19, 2012 Good morning. Boy, you look good. You are looking good. All right. Let’s take a seat. You’re taking up my time here! Oh, it’s great to be at Lovin’ Life. And for those who have asked me, there are no teleprompters. In Jin Nim speaks without notes. As for me, I’ve got lots of notes. You don’t want me up here with no notes. You don’t know what would happen. I’m going to start with a Bible reading. Is that okay? The parable of the lost sheep, Matthew 18: “If a man owns 100 sheep and one of them wanders off, will he not leave the 99 and look for the one who wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the 99 that did not wander off. In the same way, your Fath...
The Messiah Comes to Bring Living Water Joshua Cotter March 4, 2012 Good morning. Welcome to Lovin’ Life! Happy Sunday! Happy first Sunday in March! Today is March 4th. Are you ready to march forth? You look so good today. Turn to your neighbor and say, “I love you! Welcome to Lovin’ Life! God loves you.” Everybody, I guess you’ve got to take your seats. Good morning. I love our senior pastor. Do you love her? I love her for many reasons, but one in particular is because she made Lovin’ Life a music ministry. Amen? A music ministry, that’s like music to my soul. In fact, it is! It’s music to my soul. So when the music stops, I feel like we should keep going. How about you? It’s great to see Sister Gloria here, and Minister Wright. We had such an incredible time in the Lord at the Orig...
Re-Membering Our Prodigals Rev. Mike Lamson May 6, 2012 Thank you. Wow, what a warm welcome. It’s an amazing feeling to be up here and see this. When I was asked to give the sermon by our senior pastor, I realized as I thought about it that this will be the fifth sermon I’ve ever given in my life. Can you imagine? I’ve always been the kind of person who looks for the talents that people have, and I want to support other people in bringing out those talents. So it was quite a shock for me when I realized I’m going to be the one up at this podium this time. Good morning and welcome to Lovin’Life Ministries at the beautiful Manhattan Center in New York City. I must say that things look a lot different from up here. I think all of you should try this sometime. I want to thank everyone from...
Embracing Innovation: Spreading the “Breaking News” with Today’s Technology Heather Thalheimer October 30, 2011 Good morning brothers and sisters here in New York City and across this great country. Welcome to the West Coast, the blessed coast, the East Coast, and the Northeast, where a nor’easter unexpectedly hit (We had 24 inches of snow last night, even before the leaves were off the trees!). And welcome, brothers and sisters, in large congregations. In Los Angeles this morning our District Pastors are meeting, and they’re joining the congregation in watching today’s sermon at a movie theater. We have brothers and sisters in congregations all across our great country – in the Midwest, in Chicago and other cities, and in small homes. We’re an amazing congregation, so welcome, everybo...
I sleep and dream that life is
All beauty
I wake and find that life is
All just duty
But in the days before the dilution
Music Pollution
Oh we positively sparkled on TV
Yeah from Full Frontal Fridays
To Flashback Ruby Tuesdays
Same old picture in a brand new frame
But the song remains the same
The first time was better
Playing by new rules
Age-old-game - double the pressure
Half the pleasure
City full of windows and design
Towering towers of lies
To climb and climb and climb
Dreams of the view
View from the top
Pushing for the pressure to drop
Don't want to end where the mistery stops
I wanne be where the
Sun never sets on a city
That never skips a beat
Sun always shines
On a set that never sleeps
Sound bites
Set betting our hedges
Trapped in the meshes
Stuck in the marshes
And only time, time, time marches on
From Full Frontal Fridays
To Flashback Ruby Tuesdays
Same old picture in a brand new frame
But the song remains the same
The first time was better
Playing by new rules
Age-old-game - double the pressure
Half the pleasure
From Full Frontal Fridays
To Flashback Ruby Tuesdays
Glossing over where you placed the blame
(I hear) remember my name
You'll be screaming it later
Scream my name
You'll remember it better when it hits
In the shiny glow
Of 90210
Before Jerry Springer
The thongs, thongs
And the video-ho
Back before we were
Tangled in drama
Douching for dollars
Bimbo to scholar
Oh we positively sparkled on TV
From Full Frontal Fridays
To Flashback Ruby Tuesdays
Lazy Sunday Bloody Mary Sundays
Switch on make-believe
Mondays always look better
Gleaming in my reverie
So much better sparkling on TV
Sun never sets on a city
That never skips a beat
Sun always shines
On a set that never sleeps
Sound bites
Set betting our hedges
Trapped in the meshes
Stuck in the marshes
