GENERAL INFORMATION

Alongside Arena Journal and Arena Magazine, Arena Publications Association produces edited collections and single-authored works that engage with contemporary social and theoretical issues. Recent publications include Coercive Reconciliation, Stabilise, Normalise, Exit Aboriginal Australia;Changing the Climate: Utopia, Dystopia and Catastrophe;and Being Arab, Arabism and the Politics of Recognition.

 

SUBMISSIONS

Arena Publications Association will consider proposals for scholarly manuscripts dealing with contemporary politics, social theory and more general works of cultural interpretation. Please take a look around our website to get a sense of the range of books we publish.

Please note that we do not accept submissions by post. Owing to the number of submissions we receive, we cannot discuss submissions by telephone or in person, and we cannot provide detailed editorial feedback.

If you would like us to consider your work for publication, please send an email to containing:

  • a short (up to 1000-word) synopsis of your work
  • an indication of the total word count of your manuscript
  • a chapter outline
  • a list of your previous publications and any other relevant information about yourself
  • attached as a Word document, two chapters of your manuscript.

We aim to respond to all submissions within twelve weeks.

Arena publications does not return manuscripts.
