4Licensing Corporation

The 4Licensing Corporation (formerly 4Kids Entertainment) is an American licensing company. The company was previously also a film and television production company that English-dubbed Japanese anime through its subsidiary 4Kids Productions between 1992 and 2012; it specialized in the acquisition, production and licensing of children's entertainment around the United States. The first anime that 4Kids Productions dubbed was the first eight seasons of Pokémon that aired on Kids' WB! in the United States. The company is most well known for its range of television licenses, which has included the multibillion-dollar Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! Japanese anime franchises. They also ran two program blocks: Toonzai (originally The CW4Kids) on The CW, and 4Kids TV on Fox, both aimed at children. The 4KidsTV block ended on December 27, 2008; Toonzai/The CW4Kids block ended on August 18, 2012, to be replaced by Saban's Vortexx.

4Licensing Corporation has its world headquarters on Third Avenue in New York City, its former subsidiary, 4Kids Productions, had its headquarters in a separate building in Manhattan. The New York Stock Exchange delisted 4Kids (NYSE: KDE) on June 1, 2010. On April 6, 2011, it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection following a lawsuit concerning the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. On December 13, 2012, the company announced that it had emerged from bankruptcy.

Christmas

Christmas or Christmas Day (Old English: Crīstesmæsse, meaning "Christ's Mass") is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed most commonly on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world. Books for Kids

Books For Kids a is philanthropy organization created by the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. under the leadership of Ken Hoover. Created in 1994, Books For Kids is a charitable project created by the Sigma Tau Gamma Foundation as a project that would tie the fraternity back to its educational heritage.

After two successful years, the board of directors of Sigma Tau Gamma decided that due to the tremendous success of the Books For Kids project, they would make it the National Philanthropy of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity.

To date, Books For Kids has donated over 28,000 books and $30,000.00 to the public libraries and school districts of the region selected to host Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity's annual National Convention.

Creative Commons (CC) is a non-profit organization devoted to expanding the range of creative works available for others to build upon legally and to share. The organization has released several copyright-licenses known as Creative Commons licenses free of charge to the public. These licenses allow creators to communicate which rights they reserve, and which rights they waive for the benefit of recipients or other creators. An easy-to-understand one-page explanation of rights, with associated visual symbols, explains the specifics of each Creative Commons license. Creative Commons licenses do not replace copyright, but are based upon it. They replace individual negotiations for specific rights between copyright owner (licensor) and licensee, which are necessary under an "all rights reserved" copyright management, with a "some rights reserved" management employing standardized licenses for re-use cases where no commercial compensation is sought by the copyright owner. The result is an agile, low-overhead and low-cost copyright-management regime, profiting both copyright owners and licensees. Wikipedia uses one of these licenses.

A little boy named Duncan who owned a box of crayons, walked in to find a stack of letters addressed to him. First there was a letter from the Red crayon, he told all about how he wears himself out coloring fire engines and apples and even Santa Claus. The next crayon we read a letter from is purple crayon. He is frustrated that so much of his coloring goes outside of the lines and he asks Duncan to be much more neat and tidy with his crayon coloring in the future. As we continue in this story book, there is a letter from the beige crayon. Beige crayon is frustrated that he is always second place to Mr. brown crayon, and says that people are not excited to use beige because all they can color is a stalk of wheat. As we read along together, this book for kids shows gray crayon complaining about how he has to color large animals such as whales, rhinoceros, and hippos. In the Day the Crayon Quiet book, Gray crayon asks if Duncan can color some small rocks or pebbles instead of such large grey animals. Next, we see the white crayon writing to Duncan about how she can't even be used to color on white paper because you can’t see her. In this reading for kids, the next crayon to write a letter is the black crayon. Black crayon says it's not fair to be used to draw just the outlines and the other colors are always used to color in the shapes. This children's book also shows Green crayon complimenting Duncan for using this crayon to color large fun animals. However, in this book reading for kids, the green crayon asks to resolve the battle between yellow and orange about which is the true color of the sun. Yellow crayon claims to be the true color because it was used to color the Sun in one of his picture. orange crayon also tries to claim that he is the true color of the sun as well. As we continue to read aloud together, we see the blue crayon becoming so tiny and small from coloring all of the oceans, rain, rivers, etc and getting all used up. Pink crayon comes next, and asks Duncan why he is never used to color dinosaurs or other animals, and wonders if it's just because Duncan thinks he is a girl. In The Day the Crayons Quit book, Peach crayon is embarrassed to leave the crayon box because he doesn't have any wrapper! As the kids book read aloud comes to a close, Duncan gets a clever idea to make sure all of his crayons are happy. The family was together in the living room discussing their favorite parts about the Christmas season. Pinkalicious says her favorite part about Christmas is eating all of the delicious foods and cookies that they prepared for Santa. After Daddy was done hanging the mistletoe, they took a walk around the neighborhood and looked at all of the beautiful Christmas decorations and lights on the houses around them. Pinkalicious shared a special idea: she said that her family should start a new Christmas tradition by purchasing a pink Christmas tree to put in their house. Daddy countered with the problem that they wouldn't have anywhere to store the tree as their closets were full of sports equipment. Pinkalicious said they could store the tree out back so the birds could enjoy it all year long. Later in this Christmas book read aloud, we see Pinkalicious speaking to her mother in the yard because she was very worried they had not purchased a Christmas tree yet. She says to Daddy that Christmas is only 2 weeks away and they don't even have a tree yet, and if they didn’t purchase a tree soon, the store might run out. As we continue to read aloud together, we see that it’s nearly Christmas. Pinkalicious and Peter were hanging the stockings on the mantle in preparation for the big day. Mommy and Daddy walked in the door with a beautiful pink Christmas tree. Pinkalicious was so excited and shouted for joy that they could start a new tradition in their family by having a pink Christmas tree. It was hard for Pinkalicious to fall asleep that night and she thought about Santa coming to their home and seeing their special pink Christmas tree. As this story book comes to a close, she saw that Santa had left a note explaining how he'd never seen a Christmas tree so beautiful as theirs. Soon after that, Rudolph met another misfit named Hermey the Elf. He wanted to be a dentist, instead of making toys like the other elves so they decided to run away together. Along their way, they met a man named Yukon Cornelius and they quickly became fast friends. During their adventures, they begin to be chased by The Abominable Snowman, and he could see Rudolph's shiny nose even from far away. Rudolph decided to go home to avoid putting his friends in danger. All of his family was gone when he returned home, and he knew that the Abominable Snow monster had taken his family. Hermey and Yukon joined Rudolph just in time to help him fight and save his family. Hermey removed all of the monsters teeth and caused the Snow monster to became friendly and he even helped celebrate Christmas by putting the star on top of the Christmas tree. That night on Christmas Eve, Santa announced that he may have to cancel Christmas because there was a storm so bad at his sleigh would never be able to make it out. But, Santa came up with an idea and went to Rudolph to ask him to guide his sleigh with his bright shining nose. With Rudolph and his bright nose leading the way, Christmas was saved. So he climbed on the roof to try to get in through the chimney. But Mickey was smart. He started a fire in the fireplace. When the Wolf slid down the chimney he fell right into the fire! He jumped back up the chimney screaming. The Wolf dove into the river to put out the fire on his tail. Wet and cold, he decided never to bother the three little pigs again.
