Get started by downloading the official Drupal core files. These official releases come bundled with a variety of modules and themes to give you a good starting point to help build your site. Drupal core includes basic community features like blogging, forums, and contact forms, and can be easily extended by downloading other contributed modules and themes.

These are stable, well-tested versions that are actively supported.
Development releases
These releases have all the latest features, but might be not stable. Only use them if you are a developer and you are sure you know what you are doing.
Drupal 6 Releases
As of February 24, 2016, Drupal 6 has reached end-of-life and will no longer be supported. If you are starting a new Drupal website, you should download a newer version.
The final Drupal 6 security release is Drupal 6.38. Upgrading sites running 6.37 and lower is recommended.
