a thousand words.

a canadian weirdbeard lady from the early nineties. pretty uneven album, but there are some really rewarding moments on here. i'm not a fan of the whole "if i make weird sounds & then yell & then hit a snare once, then this is experimental" side of musique, but there are some really nice songs where she just focuses on jazz which reminds me a lil bit of deerhoof if greg saunier was allowed to let it all out. kinda wish she had stayed with that.

ps sad news about tomita.

pps i am now reviewing tapes for cassette gods, so if you want yr stuff up there, get at me.

twenty nine palms.

aw fam, i'm high as fuck & this is bizarre as fuck so it's a match made in paradise. danielle palardy roger is a weirdbeard from 80's canaduh, & she is a percussionist/composer/improvisor of the highest order. a blender full of all of my favorite things. just needs to be heard to be understood.

this is the song where i break my arm.

this is a really special record made by a really superb human being. i only ever got the chance to see alunared once, but it was one of the best shows i have ever seen. i have bugged jack ever since, & he has been nothing but gracious everytime. he has also been a really encouraging source for me to follow my muse to whatever fucked up end it leads me to. this record is all cold icy synths rubbing up against death disco beats. dude is still putting out amazing records to this day, support him here.
