The 2011 Atlantic hurricane season is tied with 1887, 1995, 2010, and the following 2012 season for the third highest number of named storms since record-keeping began in 1851. The season officially began on June 1 and ended on November 30, dates which conventionally delimit the period during each year in which most tropical cyclones develop in the Atlantic Ocean. However, the first tropical storm of the season, Arlene, did not develop until nearly a month later. The final system, Tropical Storm Sean, dissipated over the open Atlantic on November 11. Despite unfavorable conditions, seven storms reached Category 1 strength and four of those storms reached major hurricane status (Irene, Katia, Ophelia and Rina). Katia and Ophelia reached Category 4 status and tied with strongest winds, yet Ophelia reached overall peak. (Operationally, the year featured eighteen tropical storms; in post-season analysis, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) determined that an unnamed tropical storm developed in late August, north of Bermuda.)
A tropical cyclone is a rapidly rotating storm system characterized by a low-pressure center, strong winds, and a spiral arrangement of thunderstorms that produce heavy rain. Depending on its location and strength, a tropical cyclone is referred to by names such as hurricane (/ˈhʌrᵻkən/ or /ˈhʌrᵻkeɪn/), typhoon /taɪˈfuːn/, tropical storm, cyclonic storm, tropical depression, and simply cyclone.
Tropical cyclones typically form over large bodies of relatively warm water. They derive their energy through the evaporation of water from the ocean surface, which ultimately recondenses into clouds and rain when moist air rises and cools to saturation. This energy source differs from that of mid-latitude cyclonic storms, such as nor'easters and European windstorms, which are fueled primarily by horizontal temperature contrasts. The strong rotating winds of a tropical cyclone are a result of the conservation of angular momentum imparted by the Earth's rotation as air flows inwards toward the axis of rotation. As a result, they rarely form within 5° of the equator. Tropical cyclones are typically between 100 and 2,000 km (62 and 1,243 mi) in diameter.
The 1978 Atlantic hurricane season was the last Atlantic hurricane season to use an all-female naming list. The hurricane season officially began on June 1, and ended on November 30. It was an above average season due to a subsiding El Niño. The first storm, a subtropical storm, developed unusually early – on January 18 – and dissipated five days later without causing any damage. At the end of July and early August, short-lived Tropical Storm Amelia caused extensive flooding in Texas after dropping as much as 48 in (1,200 mm) of rain. There were 33 deaths and $110 million (1978 USD) in damage. Tropical Storm Bess and Hurricane Cora resulted in only minor land impacts, while the latter was attributed to one fatality.
Later in August, Tropical Storm Debra produced widespread effects, though damage was also relatively minor. Hurricane Ella became the northernmost Category 4 hurricane while located at 38°N, and lashed the East Coast of the United States and Atlantic Canada with gusty winds and rip currents. Hurricanes Flossie and Kendra as well as Tropical Storms Hope, Irma, and Juliet caused minimal land impacts as a tropical cyclone. However, the precursor to Hurricane Kendra caused flooding in Puerto Rico. Hurricane Greta brought strong winds, high tides, and flooding to Central America, particularly Belize and Honduras. Greta resulted in about $25 million in damage and at least five fatalities. Overall, the storms of this season collectively caused $191 million in damage and 42 fatalities. Hurricane Greta crossed into the eastern pacific and was renamed Olivia.

Hurricane jose is now reportedly a category 4 hurricane and is following Irmas path through the caribbean. Thankfully, it will not take the same exact path, as it is expected to veer north towards the leeward islands. Barbuda and Anguilla, which are completely destroyed from hurricane irma, will be spared thankfully. The hurricane is reported to have winds up to 130mph and wind gusts even higher then that. The Irma track forecast into the weekend looks like it will keep us on the dry, calmer side of the storm but it won’t be calm for much of Florida. Tropical Storm Jose formed Tuesday morning in the Atlantic Ocean with winds of 40 mph.
Hurricane Irma may have weakened, but it's still a big storm with clouds stretching from West Virginia to the Florida Keys. And it's not the only hurricane worth following right now.
Florida Governor Rick Scott said Hurricane Jose was pushing water toward northern Florida where Tropical Storm Irma has flooded cities like Jacksonville. Florida Governor Rick Scott said Hurricane Jose was pushing water toward northern Florida where Tropical Storm Irma has flooded cities like Jacksonville and left millions without power. "The heaviest winds have now left Florida, but the entire Peninsula experienced at least tropical force winds with hurricane gusts being felt as far east and north as Jacksonville," Scott said. "Hurricane Jose is also pushing water toward the northern part of our state, which is preventing the water from flowing out as fast." Shocked Florida residents returned to their shattered homes on Monday as the weakened Hurricane Irma pushed inland. Downgraded...

REMEMBER This can Change The hurricane appears to have turned eastward with an initial motion of 090/5. As a mid-level ridge first builds around and then moves northeast of the cyclone, the track guidance forecasts Jose to make an anticyclonic half-loop during the next 72 h. After that time, the confidence in the forecast decreases as the guidance diverges significantly. One the right side, the ECMWF and Canadian models forecast a turn toward the north and northeast, while on the left side the UKMET forecasts a westward motion towards the Bahamas. The GFS, HWRF, and the various consensus models are between these extremes in forecasting a turn toward the northwest and eventually north-northwest. The new forecast track is in best agreement with these models and shifts slightly to the rig...

Baby girl, oh nah nah
Ooh Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord
Are you ready for this? Yeah
Whenever I got no money
She is still my honey
And there is a reason to be funny
'Cause, I, I, I said
I don't care what you say
But you can say, girl
Keep on sayin' your thing, yeah
And I don't care what you do
But you can do, girl
Keep on doin' your thing, yeah
And I don't care what you shake
But you can shake, girl
You have my head a spin, yeah
And I don't care what you kiss
But you can kiss, girl
You have this brotha a sing
That people keep on tellin' me that you are here to stay
Brother keep on tellin' them that you will go away
'Cause, wha, two wrongs can't make no right, naw
Ain't nothin' wrong with a good old fight
It's alright if you feel it, boy
Two can feel this feelin' all around the world
It's okay if you feel it
Forget everything and everybody
Boy, let's just have a party, me and you
Gal out a you mouth nuh call me dumb man
Instead of bringing joy you brought me pure pain
Now I really know what is the game, game
Bust you brain, blood for stain
Sometime, I really thought you're love was so true
Cryin' on my shoulder bout dat all too
Now I really know what just do
Forget you too, you won your crew
People keep on tellin' me your love is here to stay
Brother keep on tellin' them that you will go away
'Cause, wha, two wrongs can't make no right
Ain't nothin' wrong with a good old fight
It's alright if you feel it, boy
Two can feel this feelin' all around the world
It's okay if you feel it
Forget everything and everybody
Boy, let's just have a party, me and you
Whenever I got no money
She is still my honey
Without any clothes or jewelry, yeah
She is still my honey
But true little cars and luxury, yeah
I almost lose my honey
Open your heart, girl and let me back in
And you be my queen and I forever your king
Yeah 'cause, two wrongs can't make no right
It's alright if you feel it boy
Two can feel this feelin' all around the world
It's okay if you feel it
Forget everything and everybody
Boy, let's just have a party, me and you
Forget everything and everybody
Boy, let's just have a party, me and you
Forget everything and everybody
Boy, let's just have a party, me and you
Let's have a party now me and you, my baby
