Responsibility claim for the attacks on the houses of cops Efthimis Efthimiadis and Ilias Hajis – Thessaloniki (Greece)

Lambros Foundas lives through our flames

Responsibility claim for the attacks on the houses of cops Efthimis Efthimiadis and Ilias Hajis.

On March 10th 2010, anarchist and member of Revolutionary Struggle Lambros Foundas is executed in Dafni during the expropriation of a vehicle that was going to be used in an act of revolutionary violence of the organization.

The arson of the residences of cops Efthimis Efthimiadis on 20 Kiprou street in Agios Pavlos, and Ilias Hajis on 17 Papanastasiou street in Sikies, Thessaloniki in the early hours of March 9th, is our minimal homage to the memory of a comrade who was killed by the shots of the metropolitan occupation army of democracy, fighting for the Revolution.

Dead fighters are the reason and cause of the continuation of our revolutionary struggle. (more…)

Presentation of Nikos Maziotis: “Armed Struggle, Revolutionary Movement, and Social Revolution” – Athens Polytechnic, 2014 (Greece)

Wednesday, April 27th, 2016

Presentation of Nikos Maziotis:
“Armed Struggle, Revolutionary Movement, and Social Revolution”
Athens Polytechnic, November 2014

[The talk began with various brief greetings to comrades attending the presentation, those of the squat KVOX for organizing the event, a reference by Maziotis to the government preventing him from speaking by phone to a prior meeting, etc. After this presentation, there were also some questions and responses which are not yet translated]…

This presentation deals with the theme, “Armed Struggle, Revolutionary Movement and Social Revolution” and has as its goal to show the clear and undeniable connection of armed struggle with the creation of a revolutionary movement that is a necessary precondition for social revolution, for the overturn of State and Capital.

I also believe that such a discussion is a good opportunity to begin political work that will aim at the creation of a certain form of political structure, that is to say a revolutionary movement that will try to overturn the rule of state and capital in the present-day Greek territory. Our goal as Revolutionary Struggle is the creation of such a revolutionary movement, and we have pursued this with our acts and our words. I believe with these words and acts we have brought political armaments and analysis into the anti-authoritarian space which can be used to build the base of a revolutionary movement. I would underline that a similar presentation in Thessaloniki at Terra Incognita squat at which I spoke, also fueled conversations and efforts to begin political work to form a revolutionary movement. Intervention of Christos Tsakalos, member of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, at an event in the self managed hangout in Karditsa (Greece)

Wednesday, April 6th, 2016

Phone call intervention from Korydallos prison isolation basement by imprisoned member of CCF, Christos Tsakalos, during an event to promote the launch of the pamphlet “The Source of Victimization” by Alfredo Cospito. Cospito is jailed in Italy for the FAI armed attack against CEO Roberto Adinolfi of Ansaldo Nucleare.

Good evening comrades (…) I will begin with a phrase I had read somewhere and says “it is at the difficult time of repression, where we prove the level of our consciousness.”

Alfredo Cospito’s pamphlet “The source of victimization” is not only interesting from a historical perspective, as it describes the situation and degradation of the anarchist movement, after the carnage of Piazza Fontana. It has a special interest because, unfortunately, it is largely reflecting the mentality of victimization that is widespread in the Greek anarchist milieu.

But let’s consider things from the beginning …

Speaking of the urban guerrilla in the years after the junta, the focal point was the murder of Christos Kassimis, member of E.L.A. (Epanastatikos Laikos Agonas – Revolutionary People’s Struggle) in 1977, in a gunfight with cops at the facilities of the German company A.E.G. in Renti area, during the placement of incendiary bombs. After comes the arrest of Giannis Seriffis, who talks about being framed up by the prosecuting authorities due to his ideas. From 1977 and for many years the vast majority of those arrested either for «terrorist» activity, or conflicts in demonstrations, followed the line of advocacy of the “frame-up”. (more…)

Police allege helicopter escape attempt by revolutionary comrades held hostage in Korydallos Prison, implicate comrade in clandestinity Pola Roupa of Revolutionary Struggle (Greece)

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016

Over the last days an anti-terrorist media spectacle is unfolding in Greece. Police released a statement about an incident of attempted helicopter hijack on 21 February; a woman using a fake ID card and apparently with the description of Pola Roupa, clandestine member of R.O. – Revolutionary Struggle attempted to hijack a helicopter departing from Thebes with a pistol. The woman had booked a flight to pick up 5 people at a pre-arranged route, but caused the pilot at gunpoint to change direction towards Attica. At one point, the pilot fought back, being an ex-policeman, who claimed to have recognised Roupa through media photographs. He tried to take the pistol, leading to a struggle which ended in the helicopter being brought down with two bullet holes in the windshield and one in the instrument panel. The woman then escaped and so far has not been captured. Police recovered a pistol mag, headphones and a wig which were sent for forensic analysis. The police believe that this was an attempt to spring imprisoned member of Revolutionary Struggle, Nikos Maziotis, from Korydallos Prison, and they also speak as well of anarchist comrade Antonis Stamboulos, bank robber Giorgos Petrakakos and “at least 2 to 3 members” of R.O. – Conspiracy of Cells of Fire who are suspected of participating. The police now attempt to reconstruct the “synchronisation” of the imprisoned comrades and locate the woman who made the defeated hijacking operation.

Maziotis is held in the isolation dungeon which is the basement of the Woman’s Section of Korydallos, where members of R.O. – November 17 and R.O. – Conspiracy of Cells of Fire are also held. Searches by the security forces took place in all parts of the isolation basement yesterday night revealing absolutely nothing.

Hunger Strike: Medical reports of comrades Antonis Stamboulos, Anastasios Theofilou, Nikos Maziotis and Dimitris Koufodinas (Greece)

Thursday, March 26th, 2015

I, the undersigned doctor, today on 03/25/2015, visited in turn:

Antonis Stamboulos (32 years) in Larissa prison, Anastasios Theofilou (32 years) and Nikos Maziotis (44 years) detainees in the prison of Domokos and wing E1 prison Domokos (Type ‘C) respectively, and Dimitris Koufodinas (57 years) and Kostas Gournas (34 years) hospitalized in secure-hospital Lamia, hunger strikers from 03.02.2015 until today.

All mentioned hunger strikers are on the 24th hunger strike day in a critical condition with now visible symptoms that they are at risk of destabilization of their bodies that may threaten their health and even their very lives.

All strikers have lost 13% -15% of their initial body weight, report feeling weakness, dyspnea, and fatigue on minimal exertion. Exhibiting hypotension, hypoglycemia, hyperuricemia, ketonuria, electrolyte abnormalities and mild mucosal pallor.

Considering the clinical picture, the results of laboratory tests and the particular problems of each, (from their personal history) I point out the seriousness of their situation, and I urge the competent institutions to take responsibility of their part immediately, to avoid any negative development .

The doctor
Pantelia Vergopoulou

Santiago: Revolutionary solidarity – Incendiary barricades for prisoners in Greece ($hile)

Friday, January 16th, 2015

Comrade Christodoulos Xiros is transferred to Domokos – International solidarity to the wanted in connection to the CCF escape case (Greece)

Sunday, January 11th, 2015

Friday 09/01/15 – Unrepentant comrade Christodoulos Xiros, of the R.O – 17 November, who was captured by anti-terrorist police after a stake-out of a property in Anavyssos, has been transferred from Korydallos prison, Athens, to Domokos. This prison has been converted into a new high security maximum isolation ‘Type C prison’ for the annihilation of the imprisoned urban guerrillas and the nonconforming prisoners. The comrade remains strong, as can be evidenced by his words and in the photos of his appearances in public before the prosecutor-rat who gave him his charges. Christodoulos refuses to cooperate in any way with the judicial authorities and maintains his armed revolutionary principles and irreducible stance against oppression and the capitalist system.

Amongst other charges, Christodoulos is accused of forming and leading an ‘unnamed terrorist organisation’, which had gathered explosives and firearms for an assault against Korydallos prison to free the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire / FAI-IRF – Imprisoned Members Cell. Since the last report published here, another safe-house has been announced found by anti-terrorist police in Loutraki where they seized 2 stolen vehicles, many kilos of explosive materials and other items. No comrades were inside when the hideout was raided. From data recovered by the pigs they believe the breakout of the comrades would have lead to a new wave of organised attacks against all institutions and structures of the Type C prisons and those responsible for them. Judges, politicians, prison guards and managers, industrialists and bankers… all those responsible for the misery of the existent.

The pigs are now looking for a third safe-house they believe to exist in an urban area, and are making an Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) and forensic investigation of the Loutraki property whilst processing the results of the DNA and fingerprint evidence found in the first house in Anavyssos. The pigs declare that the Kalashnikovs and the pistols found in Anavyssos were ‘clean’ and had not been used in any of the recent armed actions in Athens, mentioning the armed attack which took place against the Israeli Embassy on 12 December 2014 by Popular Fighters Group and the armed attack on the German ambassador’s residence in 2013 that the same group took responsibility for. Also found on Mount Egaleo was a stolen vehicle that police claim was to be used in the Korydallos breakout as a getaway vehicle.

Also in connection to the case, Gerasimos Tsakalos, Christos Tsakalos (imprisoned members of the CCF), Andreas Tsavdaridis (Member of FAI) and anarchist Spyros Mandylas, who remain held hostage in Korydallos prison, have been removed from A-Wing, and put in the dungeon under the Women’s Wing, which was formally used to detain members of 17 November. It’s been reported that this was because of their closeness to comrade Angeliki who is clandestine. It is expected that the imprisoned comrades will soon be transferred to Domokos and the authorities are scared of reprisals or sudden retributions.

2 comrades are fugitives after having been named in the mainstream media as being intensely hunted in connection to the CCF escape plan, and naturally the mainstream media slime, guided by the anti-terrorist unit, are printing filthy propaganda through speculative tabloid hypothesis and leering about the case, feeding their hunger for sensationalist delirium at the election period. Alongside, the journalists compare the attempted escape to the terrorism spectacular conjured by a cell of Islamic-fascists at the Charlie Hebdo office in Paris. In this way, they smear the clear objectives of the new combatants and those who joined them from the last generation of armed struggle for freedom. This is what the media industry is for. To keep people distracted and smug in a drivel of banality, tits, terror, consumerism and fantasy.

Charlie Hebdo’s editor-in-chief Gerard Biard has told France Inter, “A newspaper is not a weapon of war”, but he could not be further from the truth. The Press has always been a weapon of war owned by incredibly powerful individuals, who with their editors and corporate allies form cartels who control and manipulate the flow of information and opinion in order to maintain a system of privilege over the masses of people and all those who fight against that corrupt and parasitic system. Without needing to repeat more or reference the content of such hysteria and at a time of widespread nationalistic-liberal delirium, spell-binding illusions are only of benefit to Power, which weeps crocodile tears for the victims of the massacre in Paris, and we remind that all journalists are not actually fighters for freedom or humour, many are the same disgusting pieces of shit that they have always been. We remember the deserved fate of lackeys to industry, like “Journalist” Sokratis Giolias. In many offices across Europe and beyond, a more fitting end couldn’t come to them.

The imprisoned comrades must get out of the prisons by any means and the Type C prisons and the regime which implements them must be attacked. Several generations of combatants cannot be left alone to become the trophies of Power. Solidarity means to keep things together, to keep things solid. Attacks keep the struggle solid. They prevent the fire being lost in the stagnation of modern life. Armed struggle is a valid choice in the revolutionary and insurrectional war against the existent. The criminals and the terrorists are those of the State and Capital, who have polluted the environment and ruined the earth, impoverished billions of people and who plan unparalleled domination and rule by the elite.

Nothing is over – Everything continues…

Solidarity to Christodoulos Xiros and all wanted comrades in connection to the case

Unrepentant comrade Christodoulos Xiros is captured by police after stake-out (Greece)

Monday, January 5th, 2015

Breaking news from mainstream media slime reports that Christodoulos Xiros, escaped member of the Revolutionary Organisation – 17 November, has been captured by police on 3rd Jan after a stake-out of a safehouse in Anavyssos, near Athens.

The safehouse was found to contain numerous weapons: Kalashnikovs, pistols, RPG launcher with three warheads, many kilos of explosives, etc. The pigs also stated that inside the safe house there was extensive notes detailing a plan to assault Korydallos prison in Athens and free imprisoned comrades there.

Xiros was serving six life terms, plus 25 years, for his role in R.O – 17 November, which eliminated 23 targets, including Greek politicians, businessmen and British, American and Turkish intelligence and military officials, from 1975 to 2000. The group was one of the longest running and successful anti-capitalist groups in history.

Xiros is now charged with creating and being in charge of an unknown terrorist organization and with aggravated possession of weapons. Charges also included forgery, violation of detention rules, illegal firearm possession. The prosecutors also pressed charges of ‘harboring a criminal’ against three unknown individuals who appear to have rented the house to comrade Xiros.

Now, the pigs and their political masters have begun an anti-terror hysteria with the aid of the media, prior to the elections which will take place at the end of the month, at the same time that many imprisoned comrades are being transferred to the Greek ‘Stammheim‘, the Type C prison in Domokos, where they are attempting to annihilate the imprisoned urban guerrillas. The pigs are searching for other comrades who may have been working with Xiros and have released the image of a fake-ID card of a woman they are searching for in connection with the case. The pigs are also trying to collect DNA and fingerprint evidence from the safehouse in the hope it will lead them to other comrades in struggle.

Comrade Xiros was forced to appear before the public prosecutor earlier today. “I don’t talk to the detectives of the Troika*” said Xiros, while leaving the police headquarters of Athens to appear before the prosecutor. The comrade also said that the weapons found in the house had been secured by him and he is willing to take responsibility for them.

Xiros remained unrepentant and refused to co-operate, declaring to the prosecutor:

“Our country is under foreign occupation by the Troika and [German PM Angela] Merkel and I think it is my duty to resist. Those mechanisms supporting the occupation forces and their local collaborators, have no authority to ask me anything. Instead, as part of the mechanism, you are the ones who should apologize to the people and history.”

“There is no cooperation with the mechanisms that serve the occupation and government. The Revolution will continue despite the setback I face because it is a social need.” C. Xiros

More transfers of prisoners to the maximum-security prison in Domokos (Greece)

Friday, January 2nd, 2015

Anarchist Nikos Maziotis, member of Revolutionary Struggle, has been incarcerated for four days in the 5th wing of the new type C prison in Domokos.

On January 2nd, 2015, two more prisoners convicted as members of armed revolutionary organizations, anarchist Kostas Gournas (Revolutionary Struggle) and Dimitris Koufontinas (17 November), were transferred from the dungeon cells of Koridallos women’s prison to the maximum-security facility of Domokos. On the same morning, anarchist prisoners Yannis Naxakis and Grigoris Sarafoudis, both convicted for armed robbery in Pyrgetos-Larissa as well as for—alleged—participation in an armed revolutionary organization (Conspiracy of Cells of Fire), were also taken from the men’s prison in Koridallos to the type C prison in Domokos. Sarafoudis was moved to Domokos even though, for the present, he is co-accused in Filotas-Florina armed robbery case alongside other comrades, whose trial will continue in the special court of Koridallos prison this January.

Meanwhile, since New Year’s Eve until today, several other prisoners have been transferred to the maximum-security prison in Domokos.

Text by Nikos Maziotis, of Revolutionary Struggle, for the creation of a Solidarity Assembly (Greece) / Schaffung einer Solidaritätsversammlung (Griechenland)

Sunday, December 28th, 2014

In the text below, Nikos Maziotis, member of Revolutionary Struggle, suggests the creation of an assembly of solidarity for all political detainees and prisoners-fighters.

Text below from Nikos Maziotis, member of Revolutionary Struggle, to the open assembly of Anarchists / Anti-authoritarians against the specific Type C conditions of detention, Maziotis proposes the creation of a solidarity meeting for all political detainees and prisoners-fighters. At the same time it is an open call to all comrades and companions of the anarchist / anti-authoritarian domain to participate and support this endeavour.

In the short term the date and location where the first meeting to explore possibilities to set up the Solidarity Assembly will be announced.

The text is sent to all political detainees and imprisoned fighters.

Comrades – companions, this text addresses you concerning Type C prisons, and my proposal for the creation of a meeting as concerns the issue of solidarity.

Comrades – companions, the passing of legislation of the Type C prisons are an expected development in the repressive attack of the State against the armed Revolutionary Organizations and against armed direct action. Subsequently, the legislative changes and reforms that have been under way for about 14 years are directly linked to the political and economic conditions, applicable for years internationally, and none other than the “war on terror” and the neoliberal reforms intended to impose the dictatorship of the markets, and its doctorate of supranational capital.

As Revolutionary Struggle, since the beginning of our activities in 2003, I believe that we properly analyzed the political and economic conditions in the early nineties when we started our activities, conditions relating to the globalization of the capitalist system. Both the “war on terror” launched in 2001 following the attacks on the United States, and the neoliberal reforms that conduced and were designed by the dictatorship of transnational capital is not only the economic and civilian-relevant nature of globalization. The system, therefore, in order to impose the dictatorship of markets proceeds at an increasingly harder crackdown as it tends to become more and more totalitarian.

In Greece, the same year [of 2001] the Greek economy was opened up to transnational capital after the so-called scandal of 1999. The stock market integration in EMU, in the Eurozone in 2002. It is therefore no coincidence that at the same period, even to lag behind Western Europe and the US, the Greek State proceeding to legislate the first anti-terrorism law in 2001, the law drawn up by Stathopoulos [Minister of Justice].
