The family of a 22-year-old woman who died in a fiery car crash over the weekend says they are "at a loss" as to why she was in the $200,000 vehicle at all.
Bree Keller was one of three people to burn to death in the early hours of Saturday morning, when the Nissan GT-R R35 they were travelling in flipped and burst into flames at Darling Harbour.

'We all loved her to bits'
The family of Bree Keller, who was killed in a car crash in Darling Harbour along with two others, say they are at a loss as to why she was in the $200,000 car.
In an interview with Channel Ten, Ms Keller's stepfather Peter Francis said the northern beaches family was "struggling" to deal with the death of the young woman who "had the world at her feet."
"She was a free spirit...she was full of life. It's just a waste, an absolute waste. We are just basically waiting for Bree to walk through the door, because we can't believe it."
He said the family had "no idea" how she came to be in the car.
"We don't know any of the people in that car, except [Bree]...she didn't know them either...it was just a tragic mistake."
Ms Keller's mother Tania described the accident as a "sliding doors moment."
"The circumstances of her death are horrific and this week we've been having to live with the fact we can't bring her home."
Police are still yet to formally identify Ms Keller as the third victim in the crash, alongside brothers Steve and Jeff Nasr.
On Wednesday a police spokesman confirmed DNA and dental records were being used in the identification process, due to the severity of the fire.
Mr Francis said it was frustrating that the family had not received official confirmation of her identity, days after the accident took place.
"We still don't know. They still haven't confirmed it's her, but 99.99 per cent it is her," he said.
"We're just waiting for the police to get back to us. I suppose the frustrating part of it is we can't organise anything...we can't bring her home."
The sole survivor of the accident, Joseph "Joe" Begala," was pulled from the burning vehicle by police on Saturday.
He remains in a stable but serious condition at St Vincent's Hospital, with serious burns, a broken arm, ribs and swelling on the brain.
Police from the Sydney City Local Area Command and the Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and will prepare a report for the coroner.
Ms Keller was born and raised on Sydney's northern beaches, where she completed a hair dressing apprenticeship after finishing school.
Photos on Ms Keller's Facebook and Instagram accounts show the 22-year-old as an underwear and bikini model. On Instagram, where she has more than 16,000 followers, she is listed as being signed to Australian commercial modelling and promotional agency Edge Models.
However the agency said, while it had previously been "approached" by Ms Keller, she had never completed any work for Edge Models.
Ms Keller recently returned from an overseas trip to Europe and had plans to return to London next year.
