Un, dos, tres... responda otra vez

Un, dos, tres... responda otra vez (English: One, two, three... respond again), often shortened as Un, dos, tres, and named Un, dos, tres... a leer esta vez (English: One, two, three... time to read) in the last season, was a Spanish game show created by Narciso Ibáñez Serrador. The show, which ran from 1972 to 2004 spanning ten seasons, became the most famous game show in the history of Spanish television. It also was the first television show exported outside of Spain, with versions aired in the United Kingdom, Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

Structure

Serrador (alias Chicho) created the show as a mixture of different traditional game show formats. It included a quiz show section as the first round (called the question round), physical competitions as the second round (called the eliminatory round), and luck and psychological games as the third round (called the auction). The show derives its name from these three parts (un, dos, tres means "one, two, three"). Contestants consisted of three couples. Each show had a theme focused on a specific topic, such as the French Revolution.

Its location in the Caribbean, combined with centuries of colonization and subsequent migration, has made Puerto Rican culture a distinct melting pot of Amerindian, Spanish, African, and North American influences.

Ricky Martin

Enrique Martín Morales (born December 24, 1971), commonly known as Ricky Martin, is a Puerto Rican-Spanish singer, actor, and author. Martin began his career at age twelve with the all-boy pop group Menudo. After five years with the group, he released several Spanish-language solo albums throughout the 1990s. He also acted on stage and on TV in Mexico, becoming a modest star in the country. In 1994 he starred on the American TV soap opera General Hospital, playing a Puerto Rican singer.

In late 1999, after releasing several albums in Spanish, Martin performed "The Cup of Life" at the 41st Grammy Awards show, which became a catalyst in bringing Latin pop to the forefront of the U.S. music scene. Following its success, Martin released "Livin' la Vida Loca" which helped him obtain enormous success worldwide and is generally seen as the song that began the Latin pop explosion of 1999 and made the transition easier for other Spanish-speaking artists to move into the English-speaking market. Since it's release, the song has sold over 8 million copies, making it one of the best selling singles of all time. His first English-language album (also titled Ricky Martin), has sold 22 million copies and is one of the best selling albums of all time.
