Plot: In a 22nd century city wrought with corruption, where politics and organized crime combine to rule, a former cop becomes a vigilante in the quest to find those responsible for his father's untimely death. Plot: It's 1977, Joey Santrelli, five years old, plays in his mother's bedroom while she dresses his sister for bed. At that moment they hear gunshots outside the bedroom. A hitman has entered their home and has killed Joey's father, who's a member of the Mancini Crime Family. Frantic, his mother hides him. Mom and daughter crawl into the closet. The hitman enters the room, and finds them. As Joey witnesses, the hit man empties the clip into the closet, the darkness lights up with every shot. Joey, staring at the man's feet, holds his fear with courage. The hitman starts to leave but senses something and finds Joey. He raises his gun and...click, it's empty. He gets up, looks for another clip -he doesn't have one. He takes one last look at the frightened young boy, gets up and leaves. 25 years later, Joey, who's been raised by his grandparents with the help of his uncle, Salvatore, has a job with a law firm, a beautiful wife and home. He has beaten the odds and has come a long way. It's his wedding anniversary and Joey wants to surprise his wife with a gift but finds a heart-wrenching site when he gets home. His wife sleeping with another man, Joey loses it and, in a fit of passion, kills both of them. His temper a trait directly from his father, but he is not the man his father was and instantly regrets what happened. Now he doesn't know what to do. So he calls his uncle, (who is a made man), for help. His uncle understands the situation all too well, since the Santrelli men come from a long line of mobsters. Joey has been the exception-up to now. Sal meets Joey and they drive in Joey's Cadillac. Sal calms him down and he finally gains his composure, but there's another issue pressing Joey. He tries to tell his uncle but Salvatore's presence is intimidating. The bodies have actually been in the trunk all along. They pull over. The inside of the trunk is a horrific sight. Sal takes a closer look and all of a sudden Sandra starts to cough. She's still alive. Before Joey can react, Sal brutally finishes the job. Then Sal looks inside and can't believe what he sees. Turns out the other body is the Big boss's son! Now Sal has a choice to make. A made man has been killed and Sal wouldn't think twice to kill Joey, but he remembers the promise made to his brother to take care of him. So they embark on this mission to successfully get rid of the bodies. Using the assistance of mob associates along the way, they hide the identity of the bodies right in front of them. Not an easy task. The whole situation becomes even more critical as a cell phone is discovered that accidentally was on and recorded the murder. The boss calls a meeting with his Capos. Sal and Joey, in the middle of getting rid of the evidence, are forced to leave and bring it with them. The meeting takes place at a social club. Sitting at the table is the boss with his Capos (Sonny "Spits" included). The mood brings chills and Salvatore doesn't know what to expect. Everyone holds their breath. The room is silent as the tape slowly plays. Joey is heard on the recording as are Anthony's final words. The boss explodes with grief and anger and his men are frozen with fear. He sends them to find whose responsible and to see if his son's still alive. Michael Mancini, the eldest son, is furious and has already made up his mind about who it is. He takes his men to the Luchese family restaurant and confronts Donovan, the nephew of the head of the Luchese family. With the family on the wrong path for the time being, Sal and Joey plan to get rid of the final pieces of evidence. It's at this point that Sonny "Spits" finds a clue that links Sal and Joey to the murder. The hunt is on. The boss exhausts all his resources to find them; he also takes the leash off Bruno Vitale the vicious hit man (who resembles the man who killed Joey's family). Joey and Sal, now running for their lives, have yet to learn one more thing about the death of Joey's parents that will only complicate an already lethal situation. Will they successfully escape the Mob's wrath? Or has Joey become his father and will inherit the same fate?
