De nombreux chevaux refusent de rentrer au poste d’étourdissement, certains reçoivent des coups de bâton, d’autres se cognent à la porte du box qui se referme sur eux. L’immobilisation de la tête des chevaux, réalisée d’une main, ne permet pas à l’employé d’ajuster précisément le tir du pistolet à tige perforante. Le laps de temps entre l’étourdissement et la saignée est trop long, généralement supérieur à 41 secondes, limite préconisée par l’Autorité européenne de sécurité des aliments
(EFSA)*. Des chevaux montrent des signes de reprise de conscience au moment de l’accrochage par une patte sur la chaîne et au moment de leur saignée. À aucun moment, les employés ne réalisent un étourdissement de secours devant les signes de reprise de conscience des chevaux. Sur les images, on peut voir un employé découper la patte d’un cheval encore vivant.

Slaughterhouses that process meat not intended for human consumption are sometimes referred to as knacker's yards or knackeries, used for animals that are not fit for consumption or can no longer work on a farm such as horses that can no longer work.
Slaughtering animals on a large scale poses significant logistical problems, and public health requirements and public aversion in many cultures influences the location of slaughterhouses.
Animal welfare and animal rights groups frequently raise concerns about the methods of transport, preparation, herding, and killing within some slaughterhouses under the example of animal rights activists such as Howard Lyman and Ric O’Barry.
Productivity
Typically 45–50% of the animal can be turned into edible products (meat). About 5-15% is waste, and the remaining 40–45% of the animal is turned into byproducts such as leather, soaps, candles (tallow), and animal glue.

Chocs électriques et coups sont portés avec violence sur les animaux parfois jusqu’à les sonner. Les cochons qui se trouvent bloqués dans les couloirs inadaptés sont décoincés à coup d’aiguillons appliqués sur les yeux. Quant aux services vétérinaires, ils ont failli à leur mission de contrôle.

De nombreux chevaux refusent de rentrer au poste d’étourdissement, certains reçoivent des coups de bâton, d’autres se cognent à la porte du box qui se referme sur eux. L’immobilisation de la tête des chevaux, réalisée d’une main, ne permet pas à l’employé d’ajuster précisément le tir du pistolet à tige perforante. Le laps de temps entre l’étourdissement et la saignée est trop long, généralement supérieur à 41 secondes, limite préconisée par l’Autorité européenne de sécurité des aliments
(EFSA)*. Des chevaux montrent des signes de reprise de conscience au moment de l’accrochage par une patte sur la chaîne et au moment de leur saignée. À aucun moment, les employés ne réalisent un étourdissement de secours devant les signes de reprise de conscience des chevaux. Sur les images, on peut voir un employé découper la patte d’un cheval encore vivant.

As Amina Habasa, spokeswomen for the Egyptian animal charity SPARE, admits: Our government doesnt give any importance to animal welfare.
