The domain name net is a generic top-level domain (gTLD) used in the Domain Name System of the Internet. The name is derived from the word network, indicating it was originally intended for organizations involved in networking technologies, such as Internet service providers and other infrastructure companies. However, restrictions were never enforced and the domain is now a general purpose namespace. It is still popular with network operators, the advertising sector, and is often treated as an alternative to com.
net is one of the original top-level domains (the other six being com, us, edu, gov, mil, and org) despite not being mentioned in RFC 920, having been created in January 1985. As of 2015, it is the fourth most popular top-level domain, after .com, .tk and .de.
Verisign, the operator of net after acquiring Network Solutions, held an operations contract that expired on 30 June 2005. ICANN, the organization responsible for domain management, sought proposals from organizations to operate the domain upon expiration of the contract. Verisign regained the contract bid, and secured its control over the net registry for another six years. On 30 June 2011, the contract with Verisign was automatically renewed for another six years. This is because of a resolution approved by the ICANN board, which states that renewal will be automatic as long as Verisign meets certain ICANN requirements.
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, often abridged as Last Week Tonight, is an American late-night talk and news satire television program airing on Sundays on HBO in the United States and HBO Canada, and on Mondays (originally Tuesdays) on Sky Atlantic in the United Kingdom. The half-hour long show premiered on Sunday, April 27, 2014, and is hosted by comedian John Oliver. Last Week Tonight shares some similarities with Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where Oliver was previously featured as a correspondent and fill-in host, as it takes a satirical look at news, politics and current events on a weekly basis.
Oliver has said that he has full creative freedom, including free rein to criticize corporations. His initial contract with HBO was for two years with an option for extension. In February 2015, it was announced that the show has been renewed for two additional seasons of 35 episodes each. Oliver and HBO programming president Michael Lombardo have discussed extending the show from half an hour to a full hour and airing more than once a week after Oliver "gets his feet under him".
John Oliver may refer to:
Net neutrality (also network neutrality, Internet neutrality, or net equality) is the principle that Internet service providers and governments should treat all data on the Internet the same, not discriminating or charging differentially by user, content, site, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or mode of communication. The term was coined by Columbia University media law professor Tim Wu in 2003, as an extension of the longstanding concept of a common carrier.
A widely cited example of a violation of net neutrality principles was the Internet service provider Comcast surreptitiously slowing uploads from peer-to-peer file sharing applications using forged packets. Research suggests that a combination of policy instruments will help realize the range of valued political and economic objectives central to the network neutrality debate. Combined with strong public opinion, this has led some governments to regulate broadband internet services as a public utility, similar to electricity, gas and water supply.
An art museum or art gallery is a building or space for the exhibition of art, usually visual art. Museums can be public or private, but what distinguishes a museum is the ownership of a collection. Paintings are the most commonly displayed art objects; however, sculpture, decorative arts, furniture, textiles, costume, drawings, pastels, watercolors, collages, prints, artists' books, photographs, and installation art are also regularly shown. Although primarily concerned with providing a space to show works of visual art, art galleries are sometimes used to host other artistic activities, such as performance art, music concerts, or poetry readings.
The term is used for both public galleries, which are non-profit or publicly owned museums that display selected collections of art. On the other hand, private galleries refers to the commercial enterprises for the sale of art. However, both types of gallery may host traveling exhibits or temporary exhibitions including art borrowed from elsewhere.

Ame Henderson (Toronto) stewards the collaborative entity Public Recordings, an atelier for choreographic experimentation. Recent research focuses on the political implications of the synchronous gesture and its potential as a collaboratively authored improvisatory practice of togetherness. Public Recordings recently presented what we are saying as part of Harbourfront’s World Stage at The Power Plant (Toronto) and Festival Transmériques (Montreal). Henderson is the current artist in residence at the Art Gallery of Ontario (Summer/Fall 2014) where her project rehearsal/performance investigates the history of live performance at the AGO. The project culminates in a 12-hour durational rehearsal for Nuit Blanche on Oct 4, 2014 (ago.net/ame-henderson). Henderson is an associate dance artist of...
Check one, two
The plow that broke the plains
We as humans destroy everything,
well, there's limits to the land
Left the resistance and the monkey wrenchin' cause money rules again
Life is easier when your bills are paid,
you finished studies,
Masters degree
Now consulting development companies,
who sold out now?
Who sold out now?
Sixteen years old and live at home
In front your friends calling out at shows,
you left the scene cause your new girlfriend told you so,
freaked out on X at some rave or techno,
money rules again
Distro circus at every show,
I came to support these tourin' bands and nothing's free,
pay my ticket at the door,
who sold out now?
Who sold out now?
Constant complaining makes my ears ring
I care about hardcore but I hate the scene
The plow that broke the plains
We as humans abuse every way,
there's limits to me, friend
What happened to the brotherhood we shared,
well, money rules again
I'll give you anything if you just ask,
hung yourself from your own rope
I count my loss and just walk away,
who sold out now?
