Man of mystery
The bottle may be striking, but it’s this most interesting of fragrances - with notes of basil, rum, lavender, patchouli and leather - that makes Lalique L’Insoumis one for the gentleman who takes time to get to know. 100ml $175. Agence de Parfum
Cool collaboration
A new collaboration between object designer Trent Jansen, artist and architect Richard Goodwin and Indian design thinker Ishan Khosla at Hotel Hotel’s Nishi Gallery confirms the notion that one person’s junk is another’s treasure. Repurposing pieces found in the ‘Chor Bazaar’ (thieves market) and ‘Kabari Bazaars’ (junk markets) in Mumbai, India, the trio have created new and interesting objects and furniture in Porosity Kabari (the Hindu word for junk). Trent Jansen will also host a workshop on the making process of Jugaad, a
Hindu notion of thinking of
solutions differently and
figuring out the process
as you go along. Friday
June 9 to Sunday July 9.

The Blancpain Tribute to
Fifty Fathoms Mil-Spec is a watch
that indeed lives up to its name, a
2017 tribute to a pioneering 1950s dive
model that boasted a humidity indicator
at six o’clock. It turns completely orange
should moisture breach the watch, thus
alerting the diver. Will you ever need it?
Unlikely, but it’s a unique touch that adds
to the appeal. The movement has twin-barrels delivering four days’ power reserve, the
water-resistance rating is 300 metres
and you’re looking at $17,650.
