Anthony Criss (born December 2, 1970), better known by his stage name Treach, is an American rapper and actor. He is best known as the lead rapper of the hip hop group Naughty by Nature.
With Naughty by Nature, Treach worked with fellow group members Vin Rock and DJ Kay Gee. Sometimes he would share verses on songs with Vin Rock, but often, especially on the group's earlier albums, Treach would be the sole performer on the song. Examples of this are some of the group's most well known singles from their self-titled second album, such as "O.P.P.," and "Ghetto Bastard".
Treach's chiseled physique has helped him land roles in crime films, television crime dramas and as a leading man in romance films, including a full frontal in the 2001 crime comedy Love and a Bullet.
According to VH1 Treach has been with common law wife Cicely Evans for the last 7 years. They have 2 children together. The couple is currently starring on Season 5 of Couples Therapy on VH1.
Treach was married to Sandra Denton, better known as "Pepa" of the hip-hop group Salt-n-Pepa, from 1998 to 2001. The couple had one daughter, Egypt Jahnari Criss (born September 2, 1998). He is also the older brother of rapper Diesel from the Rottin Razkals, a close affiliate group to Naughty by Nature.
TMZ is a celebrity news website that debuted on November 8, 2005. It was a collaboration between AOL and Telepictures Productions, a division of Warner Bros., until Time Warner divested AOL in 2009. The name TMZ stands for thirty-mile zone, the historic "studio zone" within a 30-mile (50 km) radius centered at the intersection of West Beverly Boulevard and North La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.
TMZ's managing editor is Harvey Levin, a lawyer-turned-journalist who was previously a legal expert for the Los Angeles television station KCBS-TV. The site claims that it does not pay for stories or interviews; however, Levin has admitted that TMZ does "sometimes pay sources for leads on stories". Levin has stated that "everything is researched and vetted for accuracy." A companion television series, TMZ on TV, debuted on September 10, 2007.
Seven months prior to the official launch of TMZ, America Online (AOL) had hinted that it was planning to launch a Hollywood and entertainment-centric news site that would be produced in conjunction with Telepictures Productions and had shown interest in launching a website featuring a focus mainly on celebrities. At the time of the launch, AOL confirmed that the site would primarily feature and consist of Hollywood gossip, including interviews, photos and video footage of celebrities and information pertaining to industry news on movies, television shows, etc. The site was described as "an effort to further feed the current American obsession with celebrities". Mike Shields of MediaWeek.com wrote, "the site also boasts of an expansive collection of archived star photos and videos", allowing fans to "trace changing hairlines and waistlines of their favorites performers over the years".
Naughty by Nature is a Grammy Award-winning American hip hop trio from East Orange, New Jersey that at the time of its formation in 1988 consisted of Treach (Anthony Criss, born December 2, 1970), former member Vin Rock (Vincent Brown, born September 17, 1970), and the DJ Kay Gee (born Keir Gist, September 15, 1969).
The group formed in East Orange, New Jersey, (colloquially referred to as Illtown in the 1980s) in 1988. The group first appeared on the music scene in 1989, releasing an album called Independent Leaders under its then-name the New Style. The album generated the minor hit "Scuffin' Those Knees". After the release of its first album, the group was mentored by fellow New Jersey native Queen Latifah, and subsequently changed its name.
The group's first hit as Naughty by Nature was a track called "O.P.P.," which sampled the Jackson 5's hit "ABC" and was released in 1991 on their self-titled album Naughty by Nature. The song peaked at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it one of the most successful crossover songs in rap history. The song has become well known in pop culture, being mentioned in TV shows and films such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Malibu's Most Wanted, My Wife and Kids, Monk, and The Office. "O.P.P." also gained critical acclaim, being named one of the top 100 rap singles of all time in 1998 by The Source magazine, and being ranked the 20th best single of the '90s by Spin magazine
Aston George Taylor, Jr. (born August 5, 1967) better known as Funkmaster Flex is an American hip hop DJ, rapper, musician and producer on New York City's Hot 97 radio station. In 1992, he became host of the first hip hop radio show in New York, on Hot 97, which was a pop radio station at the time.
Aston Taylor Jr. was born in the Bronx borough of New York City to sound system professional and DJ Aston George Taylor Sr. At age 16, he began DJing at local nightclubs. At 19, he began working with fellow Bronx native Chuck Chillout for WRKS 98.7 Kiss-FM in New York. He later left KISS, and spent a brief period at 107.5 WBLS-FM.
In the early 1990s, Flex made club appearances at many of Vito Bruno's operated nightclubs. Bruno later convinced Joel Salkowitz, a regional vice president of Hot 97, to begin airing live broadcasts from clubs where he was performing. When they realized the resurgence of Hip Hop was coming fast from its fallout in the eighties, they increased the hours of this urban radio programming. Due to the success of that programming, in the spring of 1992 Funkmaster Flex began mixing and hosting his own show, a specialized rap program on Hot 97. With this, Hot 97 became the first pop station in New York to showcase rap. Flex has been with Hot 97 ever since, and currently airs nationally through syndication during weeknights and weekends. He is well known for his signature "bomb drop" sound effect over records.
Hip hop or hip-hop is a sub-cultural movement that formed during the early 1970s by African-American and Puerto Rican youths residing in the South Bronx in New York City. It became popular outside of the African-American community in the late 1980s and by the 2000s became the most listened-to musical genre in the world. It is characterized by four distinct elements, all of which represent the different manifestations of the culture: rap music (oral), turntablism or DJing (aural), b-boying (physical) and graffiti art (visual). Even while it continues to develop globally in myriad styles, these four foundational elements provide coherence to hip hop culture. The term is often used in a restrictive fashion as synonymous only with the oral practice of rap music.
The origin of the hip hop culture stems from the block parties of the Ghetto Brothers, when they plugged in the amplifiers for their instruments and speakers into the lampposts on 163rd Street and Prospect Avenue and used music to break down racial barriers, and from DJ Kool Herc at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, where Herc mixed samples of existing records with his own shouts to the crowd and dancers. Kool Herc is credited as the "father" of hip hop. DJ Afrika Bambaataa of the hip hop collective Zulu Nation outlined the pillars of hip hop culture, to which he coined the terms: MCing or "Emceein", DJing or "Deejayin", B-boying and graffiti writing or "Aerosol Writin".

Growing up in North Jersey in the eighties was pretty tough for Treach. Raised by a single mother and only meeting his father at the age of 12—before seeing him again on Couples Therapy 30 years later—he says he reached a point in his life where he was defiant and then kicked out of his home. That's when the rapper reveals his start as a drug dealer between 16-17. In this sit-down with DJ Vlad, Treach talks about how just a regular conversation and insight from an elderly man on his block helped him and his crew avoid confrontation with police and the difference with Newark to versus when he was growing up. Watch the full interview above.
http://www.vladtv.com - Naughty by Nature frontman Treach sat down with VladTV and spoke on his relationship with Tupac, saying they were close friends before his passing and acknowledged how Tupac looked out for him while he was in Los Angeles, recalling they had a sit down in Compton and cleared up the issues he had with certain individuals on the west coast. Tupac at one point compared this situation to his own instance of being shot in NY, saying he hoped Biggie would look out for him the way he looked out for Treach. In the end, Treach reveals that while Tupac may have had the street connections and pull to help him, Biggie didn't necessarily have the street connects in NYC to look out for 'Pac the way Shakur thought he could. Treach from Naughty By Nature was one of many legendary guests on SiriusXM Backspin's recent Hip-Hop For Herc event (hosted by Chuck D of Public Enemy with The Wonder TwinZ on the turntables), which raised awareness of the fact that one of hip-hop's founding fathers, DJ Kool Herc, is suffering from spiraling medical bills, and because he is uninsured, cannot pay for them. Treach did an impromptu performance of Naughty By Nature's "O.P.P. Wack 100 made some controversial remarks concerning Tupac Shakur. Treach responded by making some hideous remarks about Wack 100. Wack 100 then challenged Treach to a fight. Treach reached out to Wack 100 and apologized and squashed the beef. This is a good look for black men to show that men can understand situations and be civil about things. Tupac was a victim to violence revolving around beef. Black men must learn to support one another and not beef with each other. Here are some articles dealing with this particular situation: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wack 100 ...

Check out the footage above.

DocHicksTv had the opportunity to get Gonzoe on the phone to break down his thoughts on all of the Wack100 And Funk Flex Tupac Disrespect. Gonzoe had a professional and personal relationship before Tupac's untimely passing. Within the past month Wack100 along witj funk flex have had alot of disturbing comments to Afeni Shakur and Tupac Shakur as we approach the release of the epic Tupac All Eyes On Me Movie to hit theaters. So the south central, Los Angeles emcee, Gonzoe (formerly of Ice Cube‘s ‘Kausion’), has just released a brand new diss track, aimed towards Wack 100, Funkmaster Flex, and anyone else who has something disrespectful to say about the late-great Tupac Shakur. “Face On A T-Shirt” sees Gonzoe convey, through no-nonsense vernacular, that the continued trolling of arguably the...

To hear how Treach later made up with Redman and how a plan for bringing guns Sugar Hill Records to get out of their deal fell through, hit the above clip.
Interview done by Da Inphamus Amadeuz, if you're only interested in the ''2Pac is alive'' part skip to the very end. What is up with that? Treach has been saying things like this alot, like in his shows; ''Pac is alive but we just can't tell you where because the feds is watching!!'' Is Tupac really alive? You be the judge. No hate comments allowed on this video, remember that we're all 2Pac fans so no need to curse someone out for believing in something you don't(same goes for the other way around)

Industry rule number 100 is funny
Tall midgets get short money
[Verse 1]
Don't bite the hands that feed you, that's exciting fire
Should've done Celebrity Ghost Stories for all of ghostwriting
I can't fire the owner cause it's me and my DJ
Give a grown-man time-out, I'm out, buy my swag on eBay
Cash, I get it, grab it, feel the punishment from the savage
Legend, lyrical law, they call you Uncle Adlib
Harlem shake shook up for real, you so Breezy
Starving for press that's why when he went and wiggled his wee-wee
My back-up plan is fuck a back-up man, I'm back
Need to call by nigga Busta, boss switched off his contract
Never last, you joke, better dip the yolk
I'm everlasting, bro, your ghetto pass revoked
Chorus
[Hook]
[Verse 2]
Stop bitching, stop tripping, stop riffing
I'm not listening, stop listening, stop sniffing
You out of my army, can't harm me or alarm me
Fuck your fat ass, you're a bagel away from Barney
You wack rapper, backstabber, so greedy
I'll make it so damn they'll never see your wack ass on TV
Eat me, time to find your own zone, watch your tone
Naughty year was niggas throwing you a bone, homes
I hate the leach lurking off of what I built, 'cause I'm real
Now I'm doing side-deals that I feel
Many of your dudes love the ending, the groove
It's the ending of you Mr. Winnie The Pooh
Chorus...
