In antiquity, Phrygia (/ˈfrɪdʒiə/; Greek: Φρυγία, Ancient Greek: [pʰryɡía], Turkish: Frigya) was a kingdom in the west central part of Anatolia, in what is now Turkey, centered on the Sakarya River.
During the heroic age of Greek mythology, several legendary kings were Phrygians: Gordias whose Gordian Knot would later be cut by Alexander the Great, Midas who turned whatever he touched to gold, and Mygdon who warred with the Amazons. According to Homer's Iliad, the Phrygians were close allies of the Trojans and participants in the Trojan War against the Achaeans. Phrygian power reached its peak in the late 8th century BC under another, historical, king: Midas, who dominated most of western and central Anatolia and rivaled Assyria and Urartu for power in eastern Anatolia. This later Midas was, however, also the last independent king of Phrygia before its capital Gordium was sacked by Cimmerians around 695 BC. Phrygia then became subject to Lydia, and then successively to Persia, Alexander and his Hellenistic successors, Pergamon, Rome and Byzantium. Phrygians were gradually assimilated into other cultures by the early medieval era, and after the Turkish conquest of Anatolia the name Phrygia passed out of usage as a territorial designation.
Spartacus (Russian: «Спартак», Spartak) is a ballet by Aram Khachaturian (1903–1978). The work follows the exploits of Spartacus, the leader of the slave uprising against the Romans known as the Third Servile War, although the ballet's storyline takes considerable liberties with the historical record. Khachaturian composed the ballet in 1954, and for this was awarded a Lenin Prize that year. It was first staged, with choreography by Leonid Yakobson, in Leningrad 1956, but only with qualified success since Yakobson abandoned conventional pointe in his choreography. The ballet received its first staging at the Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow in 1958, choreographed by Igor Moiseyev; however it was the 1968 production, choreographed by Yury Grigorovich, which achieved the greatest acclaim for the ballet. It remains one of Khachaturian's best known works and is prominent within the repertoires of the Bolshoi Theatre and other ballet companies in Russia and the former Soviet Union.

American Journal (alternately titled American Journal: Coast to Coast for its final season; also known as AJ) is a syndicated television newsmagazine program that ran from 1993 to 1998. The series was distributed by King World Productions (now part of CBS Television Distribution). It was hosted by Nancy Glass from its fall 1993 launch until 1997, when siblings Michele Dabney-Perez and former newscaster-turned-talk show host Charles Perez took over for the show's final season on air. The show's tagline was "Stories Worth Watching".
The show was launched in 1993. In early 1996, as an attempt to grow in the 18-34 demographic, the show tried then aborted plans to add an "Off the Hook" segment; King World would try again with "Team A.J." coverage strands in the fourth season helmed by Karen Duffy and Steve Santagati. By 1996, it was cleared on 124 stations serving 86 percent of the United States.
The theme song throughout the show's run was an arrangement of the Shaker tune "Simple Gifts."
The Phrygian mode (pronounced /ˈfrɪdʒiən/) can refer to three different musical modes: the ancient Greek tonos or harmonia sometimes called Phrygian, formed on a particular set of octave species or scales; the Medieval Phrygian mode, and the modern conception of the Phrygian mode as a diatonic scale, based on the latter.
The Phrygian tonos or harmonia is named after the ancient kingdom of Phrygia in Anatolia. The octave species (scale) underlying the ancient-Greek Phrygian tonos (in its diatonic genus) corresponds to the medieval and modern Dorian mode.
In Greek music theory, the harmonia given this name was based on a tonos, in turn based on a scale or octave species built from a tetrachord which, in its diatonic genus, consisted of a series of rising intervals of a whole tone, followed by a semitone, followed by a whole tone (in the chromatic genus, this was a minor third followed by two semitones, and in the enharmonic, a major third and two quarter tones). An octave species was then built upon two of these tetrachords separated by a whole tone. This is equivalent to playing all the white notes on a piano keyboard from D to D:

In the 13th century, in the territory of Western Anatoly, there was an ancient state — Phrygia. It was founded by Phrygians, who emigrated to Asia Minor from the Balkan Peninsula. Across the territory of ancient Phrygia, is laid the walking tourist route - the Phrygian Way. Its total length is 506 kilometers. The trail is marked by standard red-white marks. They show the direction and distance to the nearest attractions or village. Ancient ruins are scattered in a huge territory. On the most part of them, archeological excavations were never carried out. There are neither ticket offices, nor protections, nor any explanatory plaques. The travelers going on the trail have a unique opportunity, to feel not as tourists going sightseeing, but as pioneers exploring the unknown science of a civ...
With the Valentine's Day theme in mind, here is the "Adagio of Spartacus and Phrygia" by Khachaturian. The original orchestral version for ballet in piano transcription is 12 pages long, so I made (and recorded) an arrangement concentrating on the main theme making just 5 pages, and just over 3 and half minutes of music. You can download the complete 12 page PDF piano transcription from: http://en.scorser.com/S/Sheet%20music/Khachaturian/-1/1.html

The Phrygians (Phruges or Phryges) were an ancient Indo-European people, initially dwelling in the southern Balkans; according to Herodotus, under the name of Bryges (Briges), changing it to Phruges after their final migration to Anatolia, via the Hellespont. From tribal and village beginnings, the state of Phrygia arose in the 8th century BC with its capital at Gordium. During this period, the Phrygians extended eastward and encroached upon the kingdom of Urartu, the descendants of the Hurrians, a former rival of the Hittites. Meanwhile the Phrygian Kingdom was overwhelmed by Cimmerian invaders c. 690 BC, then briefly conquered by its neighbor Lydia, before it passed successively into the Persian Empire of Cyrus and the empire of Alexander and his successors, was taken by the Attalids o...

http://www.undergroundworldnews.com Hundreds of vehicle tracks in bedrock have been found recently in Turkey, the bedrock has been dated to 5.3 million years old. The stone was perhaps soft and mudlike millions of years ago before turning into a hard rock. Who made these tracks, and why are they not publically discussed by mainstream archeologists? Because they don’t fit the current history of human kind, perhaps? Wait what how old??? Kind of amazing. Almost impossible to think about implication wise. Mind blown? http://www.dzopa.com/?p=3926 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phrygia http://www.dopotopa.com/dorogi_neogenovogo_vremeni_frigia_turtsia.html

In ancient times, a mining area located in the South-West of Asia Minor, in the region of the Teke Peninsula, was called Lycia. On the West it bordered with Karya, on the North with Phrygia and Pisidia, on the East with Pamphylia and washed by the Mediterranean sea on the South. The coastline is strongly indented in Lycia. There are many bays, islets and sheltered coves. And internal areas are occupied by fertile valleys separated by spurs of the Taurus range. At the end of the XX century, an Englishwoman named Kate Clow, paved the Lycian tourist route. It became one of the most popular trail in the world. Disparate roads, trails and goat paths are connected in a single path, with a total length of 509 kilometers. The trail is marked with red and white marks. In some places, the...
In ancient times, on the territory of the present Turkish provinces, Mugla and Aydin, was the state of Caria. In the north, it bordered with Lydia, in the northeast — with Phrygia and Pisidia. In the east — with Lycia. Caria — one of the most picturesque regions of Turkey. There is everything here. Ancient ruins, paved stone caravan roads, hillsides, goat tracks, godforsaken villages, pine woods, olive and almond trees, vineyards and sea beaches. In 2013, across Caria's territory, was laid a 820-kilometer long walking tourist route. The Сarian Trail, or in Turkish, Karia Yolu, is marked by standard red-white marks.

I’ll never let you go
So, never let me go
I will be your journey
And you will be my road
Down the stormy path
Love will never come to pass
It will be an anchor
Although the winds may blow
And through the depths of high and low
Wherever you will go, I’ll follow
To the end, back again
You know
Won’t let you fall
Fall out of love
‘Cause together we’ll be holding on
‘Cause all we have is us
Won’t let you go
Go away again
Because life don’t mean nothing at all
If I don’t have your love
I will dry your tears
Take away your fears
Let me be your shelter
Your heart is safe in here
So beautiful and pure
There’s nothing I would not endure
Oh, love as got me blinded
I see it all so clear
I’m down for you for whatever
Anything you going through
What’s mine is yours
Every little thing
I got you
Even when winds will change
