The Apple Store app provides a more personal way to shop for the latest Apple products and accessories. Get recommendations based on the Apple products you already own. Find out which accessories are compatible with your devices. Easily upgrade to a new iPhone from your current one. Keep track of your orders wherever you go. And sign up for hands-on sessions in store. You can even use Apple Pay to check out from your iPhone when you visit a participating Apple Store.
Note that certain features are only available in selected countries.

Only good for in stock items
I pre-ordered some air pods a few weeks ago and the app said my local Apple Store had stock arriving in 6 weeks.
I visited the store today to find the shelves stacked with air pods, yet my app pre-order was still showing delivering coming in a few more weeks.
The system is flawed. I had to log in online to cancel my order (can't do it within the app) so I could then purchase the air pods in store.
I thought pre-ordering through the app would mean I would be notified as soon as they arrived, this was not the case.
Very frustrating.
No Apple Pay... unless you have Amex!
Seems a bit odd that even now, after all the issues Apple has had trying to bring Apple Pay to Australia, that they still ONLY support the use of Amex cards in their own app. How is this helping spread the adoption of this technology, if the process is still so segmented?
