Man charged after pointing lasers at aircraft south of Brisbane

Police have charged a man after he allegedly pointed a laser at a police helicopter patrolling Loganlea on Saturday night.

Police helicopter Polair 1 had been tasked to the area on Saturday following complaints from commercial airlines of lasers being pointed at them.

It is alleged about 9.40pm, a man pointed a laser at the helicopter while it was patrolling.

Footage captured from Polair 1 show a red laser being pointed at the helicopter from a man on the ground.

Polair 1 tracked the man, who fled to his address, and police then called in assistance from the Logan Dog Squad, who went to the address and allegedly found a laser.
