Donate to EFA

Digital rights are as under threat now as ever, both in Australia and around the world. We need your help to ensure that we can continue to provide a strong, independent, user-focused voice promoting civil liberties in the digital context.

Excluding wages, EFA's ongoing costs are extremely small - the organisation is virtual, pays no rent and owns no equipment. Though there is much that can be achieved with only voluntary effort, the capacity and output of an organisation like EFA increases dramatically with as few as one or two part-time paid staff.

Your donation will help to build EFA's revenue base to support paid part-time staff as well as to conduct campaign and advocacy activities.

Recurring donations are particularly important as they allow for long-term planning and capacity-building.

Make A Bequest

Leaving a bequest to EFA will provide much-needed funding that will allow the organisation to build its capacity and to continue to provide a critical voice for civil liberties in the policy-making process.

You should of course professional legal advice when preparing your will, however we suggest the following wording should you wish to leave a bequest to EFA:

“I give devise and bequeath to Electronic Frontiers Australia for the general purposes of Electronic Frontiers Australia:
(a) the whole of my Estate of whatsoever kind and wheresoever situate
(b) ............ % of my Estate
(c) and/or the sum of $ ..... free of all duties and taxes payable at my death and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or other Proper Officer for the time being of the said Registered Office shall be sufficient discharge for my trustees.”

Note: choices (a), (b) and (c) should be followed by the statement, “after the payment of all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses and all duties, taxes and charges payable on my Estate at my death.”

By the Wills Act, all Wills and Codicils must be in writing, signed by the Testator, and attested by two witnesses in the presence of the Testator and of each other.

Address for the purpose of a bequest:
