Hira Tareen

Hira Tareen (born 1988) is a popular Pakistani model, actress and VJ. She belongs to an ethnic Pashtun Tareen family, mostly settled in Dallas, Texas, USA. She is married to the DJ and actor Ali Safina.

Tareen

The Tareen (or Tarin) (Pashto: ترین‎) are a prominent Sarbani Pashtun tribe largely residing in Pakistan and in Afghanistan as well as some other parts of South Asia. They are one of the largest Pashtun tribes.

History

Tareen was a great-grandson of Qais Abdur Rashid (see List of non-Arab Sahaba). Tareen's year of birth was around about 700 to 720 AD.

Early military role

Historically, little is known or heard of them prior to the invasions of India by the Ghorid sultan and invader Muhammad Ghori in the late 12th century.

Settlements

By the 15th or 16th century, by and large the various sections of the Tareen tribe had settled in the areas they still inhabit in the modern day Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, indeed some of them assimilating into earlier cultures and/or ethnic groups in these areas.

Sher Shah Suri and Mughal era

Sher Shah Suri brought Tareen Pashtun tribes from Pashtun areas and got them settled in different parts of central and northern India, including what today is Pakistan. Tareens were also settled in a significant number in Bihar, a state in India, as it was the headquarters of Sher Shah Suri. Significant number of Tareens settled in Bhagalpur, a city in Bihar. Among their earlier known chiefs in Bhagalpur was Alaf Khan, a Mansabdar of rank Chahr Hazari (Four thousand) who lived in the time of Akbar the Great.

Ali Safina

Muhammad Ali Safina (born 18 December 1983) is a VJ-turned Pakistani actor. He is famous for his comedy acting and has hosted many shows rendering him a popular local hero. He started off his career DJing at a local radio station in Glasgow, Scotland while stuyding and later on by starring in sitcoms in his homeland of Pakistan such as Takkay Ki Ayegi Baraat among others. He is currently acting in a sitcom by ARY Digital and plans are for him to be cast in an upcoming movie Jalaibee. He is the owner of FM 96. He and Hira Tareen became engaged on April 25, 2013. He is the elder brother of the renowned Philanthropist and famous cynic, Waleed Khan.

Personal life

Ali Safina was born in Multan, Pakistan then he moved to Oman with his parents where he completed his schooling In Pakistan School Muscat; for higher education he started off in The Caledonian College of Engineering in Oman and went on to Scotland where he got a degree in mechanical engineering. He returned home to his family hoping to continue his studies by pursuing a master's degree. It was then Ali realized that he was at a crossroads. He promptly diverted his career to show business. Hira

Hira (Arabic: حراء‎ Ḥirāʾ ) or the Cave of Hira (غار حراء Ġār Ḥirāʾ ) is a talus cave about 3 kilometres (2 mi) from Mecca, on the mountain named Jabal al-Nour in the Hejaz region of present-day Saudi Arabia.

It is notable for being the location where Muslims believe Muhammad received his first revelations from God through the angel Jebril (Arabic: جِبرِيل ) (alternatively spelled Jabraeel, جبرائيل , as is pronounced in certain Quran recitation schools and some Arab tribes). To Christians, Jebril is known as Gabriel and to Jews as Gavri'el.

Description

Taking 600 steps to reach, the cave itself is about 3.7 m (12 ft) in length and 1.60 m (5 ft 3 in) in width. The cave is situated at a height of 270 m (890 ft). During the Hajj season an estimated five thousand visitors climb to the Cave of Hira daily to see the place where Muhammad is believed to have received the first revelation of the Quran on the Night of Power. The majority of Muslims do not consider visiting the cave as an integral part of the Hajj. Nonetheless many visit it for reasons of personal pleasure and spirituality, and though some consider it a place of worship, this view conflicts with Salafist interpretations of Islamic ritual. While the Cave of Hira plays an important role in the Al-sīra (prophetic biography) it is not considered as holy as the other sites in Mecca (for example, the Masjid Al-Haram) and so under most interpretations of Islam, the same reward is received for praying here as any other place in Mecca.

Nadia Khan

Nadia Khan (Urdu: نادیہ خان‎, born 22 May 1972) is a Pakistani television actress, presenter and producer. She is best known for the Nadia Khan Show, a morning TV programme.

Career

Actress

Khan made her acting debut in 1996 in the show titled Pal Do Pal which was written by Haseena Moin. She received recognition with Bhandan (1997), for which she won PTV Best Actress Award. She later started anchoring morning shows.

In 2005, Khan made a come back to acting and appeared in the ARY Digital soap serial called Koi To Ho directed by Haseeb Hassan and written by Danish Javed.

In 2011, Lollywood director and producer Shoaib Mansoor, offered Khan work in his Film Bol. In 2012.

Presenter

She made her television debut in 1993 in the show Daak Time (Mail Time) with Uncle Sargam on PTV. Khan returned as an anchor on ARY Digital's morning show Breakfast with Nadia. The show went on air from Dubai in the year 2003.

On 13 November 2006, Khan moved to Geo TV to the new show called the Nadia Khan Show(Geo Mazay Say), which was a live chat and interview show. She interviewed a variety of Pakistani celebrities, artists, performers, religious leaders, athletes and politicians. There were also segments on Islam, health and beauty, and other topics for this.
