1. Columbus named the island Sant Yago (Saint James). The name "San Cristóbal" was given by Columbus to the island now known as Saba, 32 km northwest. It seems that "San Cristóbal" came to be applied to the island of St. Kitts only as the result of a mapping error. Christopher Columbus also named the other island Nevis because it looked like a snow capped mountain and the Spanish word for snow is nieves.
2. Basseterre, estimated population 13,000 in 2011, is the capital of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the West Indies. The city of Basseterre has one of the most tragic histories of any Caribbean capital, destroyed many times by colonial wars, fire, earthquakes, floods, riots, and hurricanes. Despite all of this, a considerable number of well-restored buildings still exist in downtown Basseterre.
3. It’s said that St. Kitts is so fertile that even the monkeys are green, and you’ll see colonies of them scampering freely beside the roads and beaches. Their ancestors were the pets of 17th-century French settlers, brought over from West Africa. Records suggest they soon escaped to establish a native population, and they’ve been thriving ever since.
4. Both St. Kitts and Nevis are volcanic islands. Because of this they have very dramatic central mountains and have had rather unpredictable geologic history with lush tropical vegetation. They have white beaches and black volcanic beaches depending on what side of the island you are on. One side of the island has black beaches while the other has white beaches.
5. Located in the Leeward Islands chain of the Lesser Antilles, it is the smallest sovereign state in the Americas, in both area and population. The country is a Commonwealth realm, with the British monarch (currently queen Elizabeth II) as head of state. It is the newest sovereign state in the Americas, having gained independence from the UK in 1983.
6. Brimstone Hill Fortress was named so because of the strong smell of sulphur emanating from underwater vents nearby. The French had not considered it possible to transport cannon up the steep and thickly wooded sides of Brimstone Hill. The construction of the fort then carried on intermittently for just over 100 years.
7. Mount Liamuiga is a 1,156 m stratovolcano which forms the western part of the island of Saint Kitts. The peak is the highest point on the island of Saint Kitts, in the federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, and in the entire British Leeward Islands, as well as one of the tallest peaks in the eastern Caribbean archipelago. The last verified eruptions from the volcano were about 1,800 years ago, while reports of possible eruptions in 1692 and 1843 are considered uncertain.

Citizenship in St. Kitts and Nevis is acquired under sub-section (5) of Section 3 of the Saint Christopher and Nevis Citizenship Act, 1984 (No.1 of 1984). This is the oldest Economic Citizenship program that has celebrated it's 30th anniversary this year. In recent years this had become one of the most popular destinations for dual citizenship due to an excellent second passport you acquire, not just for travel purposes but tax wise due to absence of capital gains, wealth, inheritance and gift tax. There are other benefits in St. Kitts and Nevis citizenship but for sake of keeping this introduction short, I'll jump to the requirements.
There are two ways to apply for St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship. One is similar to Dominica where a Contribution to Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF) is made and the second option is through real estate investment. We normally recommend the second option as it allows the applicant to sell your investment after a 5 year holding period making the programme cost less than Dominica. Some developments pay interest generally in the amounts of 2-4%. Not all of them guarantee this, but we know of one project that is launching at this time that guarantees 5% with number of other advantages which we can discuss further if would be of interest.
Min. Contribution to SIDF for a single applicant US$250,000 or US$300,000 for applicant with up to 3 dependents (spouse and two children).
Min. Investment in real estate is set at US$400,000. Additional expenses such as government tax for the main applicant ($50,000) and spouse ($25,000) and in case of children ($25,000) will apply.
In case of SIDF and Real Estate similar Background check, as in Dominica, is conducted on all applicants above the age of 16. The costs associated with this as well as the professional fee is paid separately to Laveco ltd. Once we know how many applicants are applying we will be able to provide more details on the expenses associated.
Mandatory real estate holding period is 5 years after which it can be sold to a new investor who will qualify for economic citizenship. If sold sooner, the citizenship is revoked.
Time to acquire citizenship in SKN is 6-8 months and it makes no difference under which option you apply. The time it will take to process your application will be the same.
Personal visit is NOT required or may be requested by Citizenship-by-Investment-Unit if there's any confusion. We did not have such cases in the past 5 years.

Saint Kitts, also known more formally as Saint Christopher Island, is an island in the West Indies. The west side of the island borders the Caribbean Sea, and the eastern coast faces the Atlantic Ocean. The island is one of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles. It is situated about 2,100 km (1,300 mi) southeast of Miami, Florida. The land area of St. Kitts is about 168 km2 (65 sq mi), being approximately 29 km (18 mi) long and on average about 8 km (5.0 mi) across.
Saint Kitts has a population of around 45,000, the majority of whom are mainly of African descent. The primary language is English, with a literacy rate of approximately 98%. Residents call themselves Kittitians.
Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest fortress ever built in the Eastern Caribbean. The island of Saint Kitts is home to the Warner Park Cricket Stadium, which was used to host 2007 Cricket World Cup matches. This made St. Kitts and Nevis the smallest nation to ever host a World Cup event. Saint Kitts is also home to several institutions of higher education, including Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, Windsor University School of Medicine, and the University of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Nevis /ˈniːvɪs/ is a small island in the Caribbean Sea that forms part of the inner arc of the Leeward Islands chain of the West Indies. Nevis and the neighbouring island of Saint Kitts constitute one country: the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Nevis is located near the northern end of the Lesser Antilles archipelago, about 350 km east-southeast of Puerto Rico and 80 km west of Antigua. Its area is 93 square kilometres (36 sq mi) and the capital is Charlestown.
Saint Kitts and Nevis are separated by a shallow 3-kilometre (2 mi) channel known as "The Narrows". Nevis is roughly conical in shape with a volcano known as Nevis Peak at its centre. The island is fringed on its western and northern coastlines by sandy beaches which are composed of a mixture of white coral sand with brown and black sand which is eroded and washed down from the volcanic rocks that make up the island. The gently-sloping coastal plain (1 km (0.62 mi) wide) has natural freshwater springs as well as non-potable volcanic hot springs, especially along the western coast.

Saint
A saint is a person who is recognized as having an exceptional degree of holiness, or likeness to God. While the English term "saint" originated in Christianity, historians of religion now use the appellation "in a more general way to refer to the state of special holiness that many religions attribute to certain people," with the Jewish Tzadik, the Islamic Mu'min, the Hindu rishi or Sikh guru, and the Buddhist arhat or bodhisattva also being referred to as "saints". It seems that "San Cristóbal" came to be applied to the island of St. Kitts only as the result of a mapping error. Christopher Columbus also named the other island Nevis because it looked like a snow capped mountain and the Spanish word for snow is nieves. 2. Basseterre, estimated population 13,000 in 2011, is the capital of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the West Indies. The city of Basseterre has one of the most tragic histories of any Caribbean capital, destroyed many times by colonial wars, fire, earthquakes, floods, riots, and hurricanes. Despite all of this, a considerable number of well-restored buildings still exist in downtown Basseterre. 3. It’s said that St. Kitts is so fertile that even the monkeys are green, and you’ll see colonies of them scampering freely beside the roads and beaches. Their ancestors were the pets of 17th-century French settlers, brought over from West Africa. Records suggest they soon escaped to establish a native population, and they’ve been thriving ever since. 4. Both St. Kitts and Nevis are volcanic islands. Because of this they have very dramatic central mountains and have had rather unpredictable geologic history with lush tropical vegetation. They have white beaches and black volcanic beaches depending on what side of the island you are on. One side of the island has black beaches while the other has white beaches. 5. Located in the Leeward Islands chain of the Lesser Antilles, it is the smallest sovereign state in the Americas, in both area and population. The country is a Commonwealth realm, with the British monarch (currently queen Elizabeth II) as head of state. It is the newest sovereign state in the Americas, having gained independence from the UK in 1983. 6. Brimstone Hill Fortress was named so because of the strong smell of sulphur emanating from underwater vents nearby. The French had not considered it possible to transport cannon up the steep and thickly wooded sides of Brimstone Hill. The construction of the fort then carried on intermittently for just over 100 years. 7. Mount Liamuiga is a 1,156 m stratovolcano which forms the western part of the island of Saint Kitts. The peak is the highest point on the island of Saint Kitts, in the federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, and in the entire British Leeward Islands, as well as one of the tallest peaks in the eastern Caribbean archipelago. The last verified eruptions from the volcano were about 1,800 years ago, while reports of possible eruptions in 1692 and 1843 are considered uncertain. Find out more ► here: http://www.WorldWideCitizenship.com Citizenship in St. Kitts and Nevis is acquired under sub-section (5) of Section 3 of the Saint Christopher and Nevis Citizenship Act, 1984 (No.1 of 1984). This is the oldest Economic Citizenship program that has celebrated it's 30th anniversary this year. In recent years this had become one of the most popular destinations for dual citizenship due to an excellent second passport you acquire, not just for travel purposes but tax wise due to absence of capital gains, wealth, inheritance and gift tax. There are other benefits in St. Kitts and Nevis citizenship but for sake of keeping this introduction short, I'll jump to the requirements. There are two ways to apply for St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship. One is similar to Dominica where a Contribution to Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF) is made and the second option is through real estate investment. We normally recommend the second option as it allows the applicant to sell your investment after a 5 year holding period making the programme cost less than Dominica. Some developments pay interest generally in the amounts of 2-4%. Not all of them guarantee this, but we know of one project that is launching at this time that guarantees 5% with number of other advantages which we can discuss further if would be of interest. Min. Contribution to SIDF for a single applicant US$250,000 or US$300,000 for applicant with up to 3 dependents (spouse and two children). Min. Investment in real estate is set at US$400,000. Additional expenses such as government tax for the main applicant ($50,000) and spouse ($25,000) and in case of children ($25,000) will apply. In case of SIDF and Real Estate similar Background check, as in Dominica, is conducted on all applicants above the age of 16. The costs associated with this as well as the professional fee is paid separately to Laveco ltd. Once we know how many applicants are applying we will be able to provide more details on the expenses associated. Mandatory real estate holding period is 5 years after which it can be sold to a new investor who will qualify for economic citizenship. If sold sooner, the citizenship is revoked. Time to acquire citizenship in SKN is 6-8 months and it makes no difference under which option you apply. The time it will take to process your application will be the same. Personal visit is NOT required or may be requested by Citizenship-by-Investment-Unit if there's any confusion. 1. Columbus named the island Sant Yago (Saint James). The name "San Cristóbal" was given by Columbus to the island now known as Saba, 32 km northwest. It seems that "San Cristóbal" came to be applied to the island of St. Kitts only as the result of a mapping error. Christopher Columbus also named the other island Nevis because it looked like a snow capped mountain and the Spanish word for snow is nieves.
2. Basseterre, estimated population 13,000 in 2011, is the capital of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the West Indies. The city of Basseterre has one of the most tragic histories of any Caribbean capital, destroyed many times by colonial wars, fire, earthquakes, floods, riots, and hurricanes. Despite all of this, a considerable number of well-restored buildings still exist in downtown Basseterre.
3. It’s said that St. Kitts is so fertile that even the monkeys are green, and you’ll see colonies of them scampering freely beside the roads and beaches. Their ancestors were the pets of 17th-century French settlers, brought over from West Africa. Records suggest they soon escaped to establish a native population, and they’ve been thriving ever since.
4. Both St. Kitts and Nevis are volcanic islands. Because of this they have very dramatic central mountains and have had rather unpredictable geologic history with lush tropical vegetation. They have white beaches and black volcanic beaches depending on what side of the island you are on. One side of the island has black beaches while the other has white beaches.
5. Located in the Leeward Islands chain of the Lesser Antilles, it is the smallest sovereign state in the Americas, in both area and population. The country is a Commonwealth realm, with the British monarch (currently queen Elizabeth II) as head of state. It is the newest sovereign state in the Americas, having gained independence from the UK in 1983.
6. Brimstone Hill Fortress was named so because of the strong smell of sulphur emanating from underwater vents nearby. The French had not considered it possible to transport cannon up the steep and thickly wooded sides of Brimstone Hill. The construction of the fort then carried on intermittently for just over 100 years.
7. Mount Liamuiga is a 1,156 m stratovolcano which forms the western part of the island of Saint Kitts. The peak is the highest point on the island of Saint Kitts, in the federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, and in the entire British Leeward Islands, as well as one of the tallest peaks in the eastern Caribbean archipelago. The last verified eruptions from the volcano were about 1,800 years ago, while reports of possible eruptions in 1692 and 1843 are considered uncertain.

Citizenship in St. Kitts and Nevis is acquired under sub-section (5) of Section 3 of the Saint Christopher and Nevis Citizenship Act, 1984 (No.1 of 1984). This is the oldest Economic Citizenship program that has celebrated it's 30th anniversary this year. In recent years this had become one of the most popular destinations for dual citizenship due to an excellent second passport you acquire, not just for travel purposes but tax wise due to absence of capital gains, wealth, inheritance and gift tax. There are other benefits in St. Kitts and Nevis citizenship but for sake of keeping this introduction short, I'll jump to the requirements.
There are two ways to apply for St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship. One is similar to Dominica where a Contribution to Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF) is made and the second option is through real estate investment. We normally recommend the second option as it allows the applicant to sell your investment after a 5 year holding period making the programme cost less than Dominica. Some developments pay interest generally in the amounts of 2-4%. Not all of them guarantee this, but we know of one project that is launching at this time that guarantees 5% with number of other advantages which we can discuss further if would be of interest.
Min. Contribution to SIDF for a single applicant US$250,000 or US$300,000 for applicant with up to 3 dependents (spouse and two children).
Min. Investment in real estate is set at US$400,000. Additional expenses such as government tax for the main applicant ($50,000) and spouse ($25,000) and in case of children ($25,000) will apply.
In case of SIDF and Real Estate similar Background check, as in Dominica, is conducted on all applicants above the age of 16. The costs associated with this as well as the professional fee is paid separately to Laveco ltd. Once we know how many applicants are applying we will be able to provide more details on the expenses associated.
Mandatory real estate holding period is 5 years after which it can be sold to a new investor who will qualify for economic citizenship. If sold sooner, the citizenship is revoked.
Time to acquire citizenship in SKN is 6-8 months and it makes no difference under which option you apply. The time it will take to process your application will be the same.
Personal visit is NOT required or may be requested by Citizenship-by-Investment-Unit if there's any confusion. We did not have such cases in the past 5 years.

Citizenship in St. Kitts and Nevis is acquired under sub-section (5) of Section 3 of the Saint Christopher and Nevis Citizenship Act, 1984 (No.1 of 1984). This is the oldest Economic Citizenship program that has celebrated it's 30th anniversary this year. In recent years this had become one of the most popular destinations for dual citizenship due to an excellent second passport you acquire, not just for travel purposes but tax wise due to absence of capital gains, wealth, inheritance and gift tax. There are other benefits in St. Kitts and Nevis citizenship but for sake of keeping this introduction short, I'll jump to the requirements.
There are two ways to apply for St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship. One is similar to Dominica where a Contribution to Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF) is made and the second option is through real estate investment. We normally recommend the second option as it allows the applicant to sell your investment after a 5 year holding period making the programme cost less than Dominica. Some developments pay interest generally in the amounts of 2-4%. Not all of them guarantee this, but we know of one project that is launching at this time that guarantees 5% with number of other advantages which we can discuss further if would be of interest.
Min. Contribution to SIDF for a single applicant US$250,000 or US$300,000 for applicant with up to 3 dependents (spouse and two children).
Min. Investment in real estate is set at US$400,000. Additional expenses such as government tax for the main applicant ($50,000) and spouse ($25,000) and in case of children ($25,000) will apply.
In case of SIDF and Real Estate similar Background check, as in Dominica, is conducted on all applicants above the age of 16. The costs associated with this as well as the professional fee is paid separately to Laveco ltd. Once we know how many applicants are applying we will be able to provide more details on the expenses associated.
Mandatory real estate holding period is 5 years after which it can be sold to a new investor who will qualify for economic citizenship. If sold sooner, the citizenship is revoked.
Time to acquire citizenship in SKN is 6-8 months and it makes no difference under which option you apply. The time it will take to process your application will be the same.
Personal visit is NOT required or may be requested by Citizenship-by-Investment-Unit if there's any confusion. We did not have such cases in the past 5 years.

Jagged volcanoes soaring above azure and turquoise seas, dense rainforests in myriad shades of green, rolling fields of sugarcane--welcome to St. Kitts. Along with its neighbor, Nevis, St. Kitts presents an exotic landscape more common to Polynesia than the Caribbean. The islands' terrain, rich soil, and climate made them ideal locations for raising sugarcane. In fact, St. Kitts and Nevis were once the crown jewels of the Caribbean. During the 17th and 18th centuries, Spain, France and England vied for control of the islands, with the English finally winning out in 1787. Today, British and French heritage is evident on both islands. Basseterre, the capital of St. Kitts, boasts fine, restored colonial buildings. Impressive Brimstone Hill Fortress, called the "Gibraltar of the West Indies," is one of the most impressive fortresses in the Caribbean.

The islands' terrain, rich soil, and climate made them ideal locations for raising sugarcane. In fact, St. Kitts and Nevis were once the crown jewels of the Caribbean. During the 17th and 18th centuries, Spain, France and England vied for control of the islands, with the English finally winning out in 1787. Today, British and French heritage is evident on both islands. Basseterre, the capital of St. Kitts, boasts fine, restored colonial buildings. Impressive Brimstone Hill Fortress, called the "Gibraltar of the West Indies," is one of the most impressive fortresses in the Caribbean.

1. Columbus named the island Sant Yago (Saint James). The name "San Cristóbal" was given by Columbus to the island now known as Saba, 32 km northwest. It seems that "San Cristóbal" came to be applied to the island of St. Kitts only as the result of a mapping error. Christopher Columbus also named the other island Nevis because it looked like a snow capped mountain and the Spanish word for snow is nieves.
2. Basseterre, estimated population 13,000 in 2011, is the capital of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the West Indies. The city of Basseterre has one of the most tragic histories of any Caribbean capital, destroyed many times by colonial wars, fire, earthquakes, floods, riots, and hurricanes. Despite all of this, a considerable number of well-restored buildings still exist in downtown Basseterre.
3. It’s said that St. Kitts is so fertile that even the monkeys are green, and you’ll see colonies of them scampering freely beside the roads and beaches. Their ancestors were the pets of 17th-century French settlers, brought over from West Africa. Records suggest they soon escaped to establish a native population, and they’ve been thriving ever since.
4. Both St. Kitts and Nevis are volcanic islands. Because of this they have very dramatic central mountains and have had rather unpredictable geologic history with lush tropical vegetation. They have white beaches and black volcanic beaches depending on what side of the island you are on. One side of the island has black beaches while the other has white beaches.
5. Located in the Leeward Islands chain of the Lesser Antilles, it is the smallest sovereign state in the Americas, in both area and population. The country is a Commonwealth realm, with the British monarch (currently queen Elizabeth II) as head of state. It is the newest sovereign state in the Americas, having gained independence from the UK in 1983.
6. Brimstone Hill Fortress was named so because of the strong smell of sulphur emanating from underwater vents nearby. The French had not considered it possible to transport cannon up the steep and thickly wooded sides of Brimstone Hill. The construction of the fort then carried on intermittently for just over 100 years.
7. Mount Liamuiga is a 1,156 m stratovolcano which forms the western part of the island of Saint Kitts. The peak is the highest point on the island of Saint Kitts, in the federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, and in the entire British Leeward Islands, as well as one of the tallest peaks in the eastern Caribbean archipelago. The last verified eruptions from the volcano were about 1,800 years ago, while reports of possible eruptions in 1692 and 1843 are considered uncertain.

Citizenship in St. Kitts and Nevis is acquired under sub-section (5) of Section 3 of the Saint Christopher and Nevis Citizenship Act, 1984 (No.1 of 1984). This is the oldest Economic Citizenship program that has celebrated it's 30th anniversary this year. In recent years this had become one of the most popular destinations for dual citizenship due to an excellent second passport you acquire, not just for travel purposes but tax wise due to absence of capital gains, wealth, inheritance and gift tax. There are other benefits in St. Kitts and Nevis citizenship but for sake of keeping this introduction short, I'll jump to the requirements.
There are two ways to apply for St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship. One is similar to Dominica where a Contribution to Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF) is made and the second option is through real estate investment. We normally recommend the second option as it allows the applicant to sell your investment after a 5 year holding period making the programme cost less than Dominica. Some developments pay interest generally in the amounts of 2-4%. Not all of them guarantee this, but we know of one project that is launching at this time that guarantees 5% with number of other advantages which we can discuss further if would be of interest.
Min. Contribution to SIDF for a single applicant US$250,000 or US$300,000 for applicant with up to 3 dependents (spouse and two children).
Min. Investment in real estate is set at US$400,000. Additional expenses such as government tax for the main applicant ($50,000) and spouse ($25,000) and in case of children ($25,000) will apply.
In case of SIDF and Real Estate similar Background check, as in Dominica, is conducted on all applicants above the age of 16. The costs associated with this as well as the professional fee is paid separately to Laveco ltd. Once we know how many applicants are applying we will be able to provide more details on the expenses associated.
Mandatory real estate holding period is 5 years after which it can be sold to a new investor who will qualify for economic citizenship. If sold sooner, the citizenship is revoked.
Time to acquire citizenship in SKN is 6-8 months and it makes no difference under which option you apply. The time it will take to process your application will be the same.
Personal visit is NOT required or may be requested by Citizenship-by-Investment-Unit if there's any confusion. We did not have such cases in the past 5 years.
