Gap to close 200 stores in favor of Old Navy, Athleta

About 200 "underperforming" Gap and Banana Republic locations will shut down over the course of three years as a part of the company's growth strategy. As a replacement, 270 Old Navy and Athleta stores will open as both brands continue to bring in major sales for Gap Inc.
