News From the Freeform Front

The new fall schedule is here!

WFMU’s fall schedule will be in effect from September 11th through June 4th, 2018. Some old shows return and some fresh new blood is injected into our dysfunctional radio famille. Take a gander here to see the longer version that includes full show descriptions.

Support the Free Music Archive!

Home to more than 100,000 free songs, the Free Music Archive provides free and legal music downloads to more than 3 million visitors per month. Help them continue to bring innovative, weird and wonderful sounds to the world. From September 1 – October 15, there’ll also be new FMA swag to acquire! Don’t miss it – donate now!

Billboard Kickstarter Campaign Update!

We have our first billboard! The Rihanna, Bieber, Manson board won, and by a big margin. Who knew WFMU had so many Bieber fans! If you are disappointed or horrified by the winning choice we ask that you keep voting, keep pledging so we can meet our stretch goal of $10,000 to install a second billboard, and who knows, your idea or vote might be number 2! Don’t forget to check out the gallery of all the proposed billboards and e-mail us at: billboard@wfmu.org with ideas, suggestions and votes for the next billboard! Visit the Kickstarter page here to check out the gallery of proposed billboards and e-mail us at: billboard@wfmu.org with ideas, suggestions and votes!

David Grubbs on Dave Mandl’s World of Echo- Sept 10th

Dave Mandl’s special guest, composer/musician/writer, David Grubbs will be in studio on Sunday Sept 10th (10pm-12am). David has played with Gastr del Sol, Matmos, Royal Trux, and Tony Conrad, among countless others. He’ll be playing a solo guitar set and talking about his new CD, “Creep Mission.”

Where’s My Swag?

We are in the middle of the months-long process of mailing out swag to everyone who pledged to our 2017 Marathon (the more stuff you requested, the longer it will take), so thanks for your patience. Made a pledge but forgot to choose your swag? Please contact Listener Services Honcho Joe McGasko here and we’ll hook you up with manufactured love.
