This enormous dog goes by several names including the Caucasian Shepherd Dog.
A big dog can weigh anything up to 90kg (200lbs) with huge paws and equally intimidating set of jaws.
Still favoured amongst dog fighters in Russia this dog is banned in some countries and restricted in others.
Now, Caucasian shepherd dog is a fully standardized breed recognized by the major kennel organizations, including FCI, AKC and UKC.

Well nourished caucasian male is a solo performance by Tuomo Railo. He explores the basis of his dance expression. The simplified stage setting and the piano music focus the spectator's attention on Railo's motion language, its diversity and unexpectedness.
"The feeling of insecurity - fictional or real - was the starting point of my work. In my mind I had the instruction launched by the American dance entertainment format: Dance for your life! I've also examined the theory of Indian dramatic art. Natyasastra, the more than a thousand- year-old textbook of Indian dance, lists nine moods, tastes and juices (rasa) that a performance can arouse in the spectator. In my work, I have explored the bhayanaka-rasa or the horror. The oppressive mood of my work is created by the limited platform I dance on, as well as the piano music which instigates panic. A video is projected behind me and light abstractions are built on it. They are negations of Rorschah's inkblot test."
In addition to the choreography, Railo has created the sound landscape, wardrobe and the action paintings, which are shown as video projections.

Since then, MTV has run "Choose or Lose" for other presidential elections in the United States. Mount Elbrus
Mount Elbrus (Russian: Эльбру́с, tr. Ēlbrus; IPA: [ɪlʲˈbrus]; Karachay-Balkar: Минги тау, Min̡i taw, IPA: [miŋŋi taw]) is a dormant volcano located in the northern Caucasus mountains, in Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay–Cherkessia of Russia, near the border with Georgia. Elbrus' peak is the highest in the Caucasus Mountains, in Russia, and in Europe; and it is the tenth most prominent in the world.
Elbrus has two summits, both of which are dormant volcanic domes. With its slightly taller west summit, the mountain stands at 5,642 metres (18,510 ft); the east summit is 5,621 metres (18,442 ft). The lower east summit was first ascended on 10 July 1829 (Julian calendar) by Khillar Khachirov, a Karachay guide for an Imperial Russian army scientific expedition led by General Emmanuel, and the higher (by about 20 m; 66 ft) in 1874 by an English expedition led by F. Crauford Grove and including Frederick Gardner, Horace Walker, and the Swiss guide Peter Knubel of St. Niklaus in the canton Valais.

The Caucasian Shepherd Dog (Adyghe: Хьапарий, Hapariy, Karachay-Balkar: Парий, Pariy, Armenian: Կովկասյան հովվաշուն "Kovkasyan hovvashun", Azerbaijani: Qafqaz çoban iti, Georgian: ნაგაზი "Kavkasiuri nagazi", Ossetian: Аргъонахъ Arghonaq, Russian: Кавказская овчарка Kavkazskaya Ovcharka) is a large breed of dog that is popular in Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and North Caucasus area. It is extremely popular in Georgia which has always been the principal region of penetration of the Caucasian shepherd dogs, and the official standard of this breed is fundamentally based on the Georgian-type Caucasian shepherds for being the largest, muscularly built dogs with attractive long hair.

by Alison Brockhouse for Narratively's "Born To Dance" week. http://narrative.ly/born-to-dance/the-caucasian-sensation/ Every weekend, dozens of children and teens pack a Midwood, Brooklyn dance studio, where they soar like eagles, float like swans, stomp, shout, spin, and grimace for hours on end. All of this takes place under the watchful eye of Anatoliy Vartanian, director and choreographer of the LezginkaNYC dance ensemble. Lezginka is a sharp, expressive style of dance that originated in Caucasian Mountain villages hundreds of years ago and remains popular in places like Dagestan, Chechnya, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. Although people of all religious and ethnic backgrounds dance Lezginka, most of Anatoliy's students are Kavkazi Jews--those from the Caucasus, also called Gorsky or Mountain Jews. Many Kavkazi Jewish families settled in Brooklyn in the decade after the fall of the Soviet Union. Dancing Lezginka, not just on stage but at weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, and other celebrations, is an important Kavkazi tradition, and this is part of what keeps many of Anatoliy's students returning year after year. Vartanian himself is a large reason why many of these students dance. Born in Dagestan and raised in an orphanage, Vartanian spent his youth traveling the world as a soloist in the first Lezginka Ensemble. He performed in sold-out concert houses across Europe and danced for Nikita Kruschev, Fidel Castro, and the cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. To his students, Vartanian is a demanding teacher, a grandfather figure, and a living Lezginka legend. * * * Alison Brockhouse is an artist and photographer living in Brooklyn. She is a member of the Meerkat Media Collective, which recently completed Brasslands, a feature documentary about Balkan brass music.

Well nourished caucasian male is a solo performance by Tuomo Railo. He explores the basis of his dance expression. The simplified stage setting and the piano music focus the spectator's attention on Railo's motion language, its diversity and unexpectedness.
"The feeling of insecurity - fictional or real - was the starting point of my work. In my mind I had the instruction launched by the American dance entertainment format: Dance for your life! I've also examined the theory of Indian dramatic art. Natyasastra, the more than a thousand- year-old textbook of Indian dance, lists nine moods, tastes and juices (rasa) that a performance can arouse in the spectator. In my work, I have explored the bhayanaka-rasa or the horror. The oppressive mood of my work is created by the limited platform I dance on, as well as the piano music which instigates panic. A video is projected behind me and light abstractions are built on it. They are negations of Rorschah's inkblot test."
In addition to the choreography, Railo has created the sound landscape, wardrobe and the action paintings, which are shown as video projections.

Every weekend, dozens of children and teens pack a Midwood, Brooklyn dance studio, where they soar like eagles, float like swans, stomp, shout, spin, and grimace for hours on end. All of this takes place under the watchful eye of Anatoliy Vartanian, director and choreographer of the LezginkaNYC dance ensemble. Lezginka is a sharp, expressive style of dance that originated in Caucasian Mountain villages hundreds of years ago and remains popular in places like Dagestan, Chechnya, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. Although people of all religious and ethnic backgrounds dance Lezginka, most of Anatoliy's students are Kavkazi Jews--those from the Caucasus, also called Gorsky or Mountain Jews. Many Kavkazi Jewish families settled in Brooklyn in the decade after the fall of the Soviet Union.
Dancing Lezginka, not just on stage but at weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, and other celebrations, is an important Kavkazi tradition, and this is part of what keeps many of Anatoliy's students returning year after year. Vartanian himself is a large reason why many of these students dance. Born in Dagestan and raised in an orphanage, Vartanian spent his youth traveling the world as a soloist in the first Lezginka Ensemble. He performed in sold-out concert houses across Europe and danced for Nikita Kruschev, Fidel Castro, and the cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. To his students, Vartanian is a demanding teacher, a grandfather figure, and a living Lezginka legend.

Elbrus - is invaluable pride and property №1 among the main miracles of Russia. The greatest mountain of Europe! One of the seventh of most magnificent highest tops that hold a firmament on different continents of our planet.
The material has been made during small travel to Caucasus and ascension to Elbrus from February till March, 2011. Despite heavy weather conditions, we still were able to embody some beautiful fragments of life of this wonderful mountain.
