Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama television series created by showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. It is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R. R. Martin's series of fantasy novels, the first of which is titled A Game of Thrones. It is filmed in a Belfast studio and on location elsewhere in Croatia, Iceland, Malta, Morocco, Northern Ireland, Spain, Scotland, and the United States, and premiered on HBO in the United States on April 17, 2011. The series has been renewed for a sixth season, which will premiere on April 24, 2016.
The series is set on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos, and interweaves several plot lines with a large ensemble cast. The first narrative arc follows a civil war among several noble houses for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms; the second covers the attempts to reclaim the throne by the exiled last scion of the realm's deposed ruling dynasty; the third chronicles the rising threat of the impending winter and the legendary creatures and fierce peoples of the North.
Bow Street is a thoroughfare in Covent Garden, Westminster, London. It was constructed in 1633 and has held a number of important buildings, including Bow Street Magistrates' Court and the Royal Opera House.
The street runs between Russell Street and Long Acre, to the east of Covent Garden. South of Russell Street, the road continues as Wellington Street towards The Strand. The nearest tube station is Covent Garden.
The area around Bow Street was first developed by Francis Russell, 4th Earl of Bedford in 1633. It was named Bow Street in 1638 after the basic shape of the road. It was always the Earl's intention to extend the street as far as Long Acre, but this never materialised.
A number of notable residents lived on Bow Street in the 17th century. Oliver Cromwell moved to the street in 1645. Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford was born there in 1661. The woodcarver Grinling Gibbons lived on Bow Street between 1678 and 1721.
The street acquired a reputation for pornography in the early 18th century. The publisher Edmund Curll lived at No. 2 during this time, and by 1740 the street held 8 pubs, concealing a number of brothels.
The sixth season of Friends, an American sitcom created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, premiered on NBC on September 23, 1999. Friends was produced by Bright/Kauffman/Crane Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television. The season contains 25 episodes and concluded airing on May 18, 2000.
In the season premiere ("The One After Vegas"), Ross and Rachel's marriage is established to be a drunken mistake, and although Ross lies and says he got the marriage annulled so that he won't have to be known as the "three divorces" guy, Rachel eventually finds out and they divorce several episodes later. Monica and Chandler decide to move into her apartment together, and Rachel moves in with Phoebe. Joey lands a role on a cable television series called Mac and C.H.E.E.S.E, where he stars alongside a robot. Ross gets a job lecturing at New York University, and starts dating one of his students, Elizabeth (Alexandra Holden). Phoebe and Rachel's apartment catches fire, and Rachel moves in with Joey while Phoebe moves in with Chandler and Monica. In the season finale, Chandler proposes to Monica.

Antonia Bird's first feature length film; "Safe" from 1993, focused on the plight of the homeless in London, this powerful drama written by Al Ashton (The Firm) starred Kate Hardie, Aidan Gillen, Robert Carlyle, Steven Mackintosh, Andrew Tiernan, Joe Swash and Marsha Thomason. Never released on DVD, converted from an old VHS I had uncovered, posting this in memory of Antonia Bird who sadly passed away this year. A great loss to British Drama. Please be advised that there are scenes of nudity and violence and some swearing, therefore this might not be suitable for younger viewers.
Set in North London, 'Still' is a gritty and atmospheric thriller about the violent disintegration of a man and father. Tom Carver (Aidan Gillen) is a man stumbling blindly towards a crossroad in his life, thrown out of focus by the death of his teenage son a year earlier. He becomes involved in a feud with a teenage gang after a seemingly harmless collision with a young kid. As the feud becomes more horrifying, Carver's world starts to unravel forcing him to make decisions that will change his life forever.
An independent feature film directed by Douglas McFerran. Starring Aidan Gillen ('The Wire', 'Game of Thrones') and James Purefoy ('Rome' 'Solomon Kane', 'The Following'). Edited by Adam Barton For fan purposes only. No copyright infringement intended.
"Queer As Folk," "The Wire," "Game of Thrones" actor Aidan Gillen picked and introduced some of his fav tracks. The audio has nothing to do with his past work "Buddy Boy". I just think the music reference of that T-shirt suits the interview. The pics are taken from xof's Aidan Gillen picasa photo albums.
