Kemi
Kemi (Northern Sami: Giepma) is a town and municipality of Finland. It is located very near the city of Tornio. It was founded in 1869 by decree of Russian Emperor Alexander II because of its proximity to a deep water harbour.
Kemi is situated by the Bothnian Bay, at the mouth of river Kemijoki, and it is part of Lapland region. The town has a population of 21,807 (30 June 2015) and covers an area of 747.44 square kilometres (288.59 sq mi) of which 652.1 km2 (251.8 sq mi) is water. The population density is 228.73 inhabitants per square kilometre (592.4/sq mi).
The main economic activity in Kemi is centred on two large paper and woodpulp mills and on the only chromium mine in Europe (which supplies the Outokumpu ferrochrome plant in Tornio). A polytechnic university of applied sciences is also situated in Kemi.
Kemi also has a claim to fame as the home of the world's largest snow castle (reconstructed every year to a different design). The snowcastle is usually located at the inner harbour of Kemi.

Matti Lähitie
Matti Lähitie (born 13 February 1985 in Pori) is a Finnish footballer, currently playing for Jyväskylän Jalkapalloklubi (JJK) in the Finnish Ykkönen. He plays as a defender or defensive midfielder.
Playing career
Matti Lähitie started his football career at Finnish club FC Jazz, where he made his league debut at the age of just seventeen years old. In total he made forty appearances at FC Jazz between 2002 and 2004, scoring twice.
In 2005, he transferred to another Finnish club, FC Lahti who were playing in Veikkausliiga at the time. Lähitie saw this as a step-up in his career, with Finnish internationals such as Jari Litmanen, Pekka Lagerblom and Mika Väyrynen also playing for Lahti at some point and all benefiting.
In 2006 Lähitie transferred to his third Finnish club, Jyväskylän Jalkapalloklubi playing in the Finnish Ykkönen.
Lähitie is a very versatile midfielder, who is just as comfortable on the left side of midfield as he is on the right or in the centre, although his right foot is his strongest.

Gaël Etock
Gaël Junior Etock (born 5 July 1993) is a Cameroonian footballer who plays for Hapoel Petah Tikva in the Israeli Premier League as a striker or winger.
Club career
On 18 August 2012, Gaël made his debut with Sporting B in a 2012–13 Segunda Liga home match against Vitória de Guimarães B where he played 68 minutes. On 26 August 2012, he scored his first goal in a 1-3 away win against Atlético.
On 22 September 2014 signed to Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Lapland Trip 2015 - Arctic Circle Adventures
50 Erasmus students from Riga went on an adventurous trip to Saariselkä in Lapland for one week. This video captures the best moments of the trip and the activities, including -swimming in the arctic ocean -Husky safari -snowmobile night safari -sledging on Europe's formerly longest slide -cross-country skiing -a visit of the Kemi SnowCastle -walking on the frozen Baltic Sea -a visit of Santa Claus' Home at the Arctic Circle -Reindeer sledging and more. Sheep put a lot of preassure on the dogs, Rhemy was struggling on the drive when he hasn´t got those tiny flanks yet which are good to have on these sheep. He had a decent single, ended up sixth.

In search for the best winter spots Kristin & I went on a road trip through Lapland in Finland and checked out all the things to do in Lapland and it was magical!

I know it took a while to finish editing this video as I had to struggle with the 4k video data I got from my new toy: the drone. I'm now able to shoot lovely aerial footage to give you an even broader picture of the destination.
Our trip to finnish Lapland started in Rovaniemi with the visit of the Santa Claus village where we said hi to Santa himself and had some fun tubing and drinking at the ice bar in Snowman World.
Snowmobiling was a great way to start our second day & I would say it's one of the must dos in Lapland for sure!
Next stop was the area of Ylläs where we spent most of our time: ice sculpturing, snowshoeing, skiing, dog sledding, a reindeer safari, sauna and northern light sightings made this trip to once in a lifetime winter experience!
