El Gran Show ("The Amazing Show") is a dance reality show airing on América Televisión in Perú hosted by Gisela Valcárcel. Every season, celebrities and amateur dancers (Dreamers) are paired up. Celebrities have included actors/actresses, models, singers, athletes, teen heartthrobs, television hosts, and comedians. The format is similar to Bailando por un sueño and El Show De Los Sueños: 11 participants called "Dreamers" star in a dance competition in which the winner will realize a dream that becomes public knowledge, either to resolve a personal problem or to help someone else. The program focuses on social assistance that can be provided to talented people who have no economic means to achieve certain goals. The tool that these dreamers have to overcome adversity is their talent for dancing. Eleven couples (dreamer and hero) compete over 10 weekly galas, in which the couple who received the fewest telephone votes from viewers is eliminated. At the final gala, two couples compete to determine who will win the long-awaited fulfilment of their dream.
Capital London is regional radio station owned and operated by Global Radio as part of the Capital radio network.
Following the 1964–68 offshore radio boom, the Conservative Party, under Edward Heath promised in its 1970 General Election Manifesto that should it win, it would introduce local commercial radio in addition to the commercial television that had started in 1955. This was a result of lobbying from pressure groups including the Local Radio Association, who felt that commercial radio should be introduced following the launch of ITV over a decade before. The Tories won and swiftly introduced the Sound Broadcasting Act 1972, which allowed for the introduction of Independent Local Radio and created the newly renamed Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) from the Independent Television Authority.
The Independent Broadcasting Authority advertised local radio licences in certain locations in the United Kingdom under the umbrella term of Independent Local Radio (ILR). London was due to receive two ILR licences: one for news and another for general entertainment. Radio Capital, later to become Capital Radio, was formed in early 1970 by David Maule-ffinch with the intent to apply for the general entertainment licence. In late 1970, Maule-ffinch's future father-in-law, Barclay Barclay-White became involved. The Radio Capital team that was finally in place at the time of application to the IBA included Sir Richard Attenborough, Sir George Martin, Bryan Forbes, Sir Peter Saunders, David Maule-ffinch and Barclay Barclay-White. David Maule-Ffinch was a member of the board of Capital Radio and its largest stockholder until 1994, when he sold his controlling interest to Information et Publicite, a subsidiary of Havas, the French media conglomerate.
Capital may refer to:
Radio is the use of radio waves is to carry information, such as sound, by systematically modulating some property of electromagnetic energy waves transmitted through space, such as their amplitude, frequency, phase, or pulse width. When radio waves strike an electrical conductor, the oscillating fields induce an alternating current in the conductor. The information in the waves can be extracted and transformed back into its original form.
Radio systems need a transmitter to modulate (change) some property of the energy produced to impress a signal on it, for example using amplitude modulation or angle modulation (which can be frequency modulation or phase modulation). Radio systems also need an antenna to convert electric currents into radio waves, and vice versa. An antenna can be used for both transmitting and receiving. The electrical resonance of tuned circuits in radios allow individual stations to be selected. The electromagnetic wave is intercepted by a tuned receiving antenna. A radio receiver receives its input from an antenna and converts it into a form usable for the consumer, such as sound, pictures, digital data, measurement values, navigational positions, etc. Radio frequencies occupy the range from a 3 kHz to 300 GHz, although commercially important uses of radio use only a small part of this spectrum.

NYE 1990, and it was my job to play out the party mix tapes (4x1 hour) on Capital FM London between 10pm-2am. Knowing how boring this was going to be, I borrowed a video camera so that I could film around the building, because... well, I can't remember now. But I'm glad I did, because this footage has become something of a time capsule. 26 years later, much has changed. Everything you can see is long gone, gutted and redeveloped after Capital moved out in 1997. Radio studios are now entirely computerised; Capital in 1990 was just introducing digital systems into its studios, and was one of the first radio stations in the UK to do so. In 2016, Capital is no longer the most popular music station in London. But in 1990, it really was the hot rockin' place to be.
This is plain and simple, the audio of the Clash single, Capital Radio Two of the single I Fought the Law.
