Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, commonly known as coronary or balloon angioplasty, is a procedure to widen blocked arteries and restore blood flow to the heart muscle. PCI is used in cases where plaque buildup inside the arteries, known as athersclerosis or "hardening of the arteries," causes a risk factor for heart attack.
Coronary angiography, which uses a special dye visible on live X-Ray, is performed to locate the blocked artery. A balloon catheter expands the artery at the blockage, allowing blood to flow through the artery. A stent is often used to keep the artery open. A drug-eluting stent releases medication over time that will keep the blockage from reforming inside the stent.

La caduta del partito comunista italiano
Il 12 novembre 1989, tre giorni dopo la caduta del muro di Berlino, Achille Occhetto annunciò "grandi cambiamenti" a Bologna in una riunione di ex partigiani e militanti comunisti della sezione Bolognina. Fu questa la cosiddetta "Svolta della Bolognina" nella quale il leader del Partito propose, prendendo da solo la decisione, di aprire un nuovo corso politico che preludeva al superamento del PCI e alla nascita di un nuovo partito della sinistra italiana.
Nel Partito si accese una discussione e il dissenso, per la prima volta, fu notevole e coinvolse ampi settori della base. Dirigenti nazionali di primaria importanza quali Pietro Ingrao, Alessandro Natta e Aldo Tortorella, oltre che Armando Cossutta, si opposero in maniera convinta alla svolta.
Per decidere sulla proposta di Occhetto fu indetto un Congresso straordinario del Partito, il XIX, che si tenne a Bologna nel marzo del 1990. Tre furono le mozioni che si contrapposero:
la prima mozione, intitolata Dare vita alla fase costituente di una nuova formazione politica era quella di Occhetto, che proponeva la costruzione di una nuova formazione politica democratica, riformatrice e aperta a componenti laiche e cattoliche, che superasse il centralismo democratico. Il 67% dei consensi ottenuti dalla mozione permise la rielezione di Occhetto alla carica di Segretario generale e la conferma della sua linea politica.
la seconda mozione, intitolata Per un vero rinnovamento del PCI e della sinistra fu sottoscritta da Ingrao e, tra gli altri, da Angius, Castellina, Chiarante e Tortorella. Il PCI, secondo i sostenitori di questa mozione, doveva sì rinnovarsi, nella politica e nella organizzazione, ma senza smarrire se stesso. Questa mozione uscì sconfitta ottenendo il 30% dei consensi.
la terza mozione, intitolata Per una democrazia socialista in Europa fu presentata dal gruppo di Cossutta. Costruita su un impianto profondamente ortodosso ottenne solo il 3% dei consensi.
Il XX Congresso, tenutosi a Rimini nel febbraio del 1991, fu l'ultimo del PCI. Le mozioni che si contrapposero a questo Congresso furono sempre tre, anche se con schieramenti leggermente diversi:
la mozione di Occhetto, D'Alema e molti altri dirigenti, Per il Partito Democratico della Sinistra, che ottenne il 67,46% dei voti eleggendo 848 delegati.
una mozione intermedia, Per un moderno partito antagonista e riformatore, capeggiata da Bassolino, che ottenne il 5,76% dei voti eleggendo 72 delegati.
la mozione contraria alla nascita del nuovo partito, Rifondazione comunista, nata dall'accorpamento delle mozioni di Ingrao e Cossutta, ottenne il 26,77% dei voti eleggendo 339 delegati, cioè meno rispetto alla somma dei voti delle due mozioni presentate al precedente Congresso.

PCI Express
PCI Express (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express), officially abbreviated as PCIe, is a high-speed serial computer expansion bus standard, designed to replace the older PCI, PCI-X, and AGP bus standards. PCIe has numerous improvements over the older standards, including higher maximum system bus throughput, lower I/O pin count and smaller physical footprint, better performance scaling for bus devices, a more detailed error detection and reporting mechanism (Advanced Error Reporting, AER), and native hot-plug functionality. More recent revisions of the PCIe standard provide hardware support for I/O virtualization.
The PCI Express electrical interface is also used in a variety of other standards, most notably in ExpressCard as a laptop expansion card interface, and in SATA Express as a computer storage interface.
Format specifications are maintained and developed by the PCI-SIG (PCI Special Interest Group), a group of more than 900 companies that also maintain the conventional PCI specifications. PCIe 3.0 is the latest standard for expansion cards that is in production and available on mainstream personal computers.

Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a proprietary information security standard for organizations that handle branded credit cards from the major card schemes including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB. Private label cards – those which aren't part of a major card scheme – are not included in the scope of the PCI DSS.
The PCI Standard is mandated by the card brands and administered by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. The standard was created to increase controls around cardholder data to reduce credit card fraud. Validation of compliance is performed annually, either by an external Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) that creates a Report on Compliance (ROC) for organizations handling large volumes of transactions, or by Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) for companies handling smaller volumes.
History
PCI DSS originally began as five different programs: Visa's Cardholder Information Security Program, MasterCard's Site Data Protection, American Express' Data Security Operating Policy, Discover's Information Security and Compliance, and the JCB's Data Security Program. Each company's intentions were roughly similar: to create an additional level of protection for card issuers by ensuring that merchants meet minimum levels of security when they store, process and transmit cardholder data. The Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) was formed, and on December 15, 2004, these companies aligned their individual policies and released version 1.0 of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, commonly known as coronary or balloon angioplasty, is a procedure to widen blocked arteries and restore blood flow to the heart muscle. PCI is used in cases where plaque buildup inside the arteries, known as athersclerosis or "hardening of the arteries," causes a risk factor for heart attack. Coronary angiography, which uses a special dye visible on live X-Ray, is performed to locate the blocked artery. A balloon catheter expands the artery at the blockage, allowing blood to flow through the artery. A stent is often used to keep the artery open. A drug-eluting stent releases medication over time that will keep the blockage from reforming inside the stent. Fu questa la cosiddetta "Svolta della Bolognina" nella quale il leader del Partito propose, prendendo da solo la decisione, di aprire un nuovo corso politico che preludeva al superamento del PCI e alla nascita di un nuovo partito della sinistra italiana.
Nel Partito si accese una discussione e il dissenso, per la prima volta, fu notevole e coinvolse ampi settori della base. Dirigenti nazionali di primaria importanza quali Pietro Ingrao, Alessandro Natta e Aldo Tortorella, oltre che Armando Cossutta, si opposero in maniera convinta alla svolta.
Per decidere sulla proposta di Occhetto fu indetto un Congresso straordinario del Partito, il XIX, che si tenne a Bologna nel marzo del 1990. Tre furono le mozioni che si contrapposero:
la prima mozione, intitolata Dare vita alla fase costituente di una nuova formazione politica era quella di Occhetto, che proponeva la costruzione di una nuova formazione politica democratica, riformatrice e aperta a componenti laiche e cattoliche, che superasse il centralismo democratico. Il 67% dei consensi ottenuti dalla mozione permise la rielezione di Occhetto alla carica di Segretario generale e la conferma della sua linea politica.
la seconda mozione, intitolata Per un vero rinnovamento del PCI e della sinistra fu sottoscritta da Ingrao e, tra gli altri, da Angius, Castellina, Chiarante e Tortorella. Il PCI, secondo i sostenitori di questa mozione, doveva sì rinnovarsi, nella politica e nella organizzazione, ma senza smarrire se stesso. Questa mozione uscì sconfitta ottenendo il 30% dei consensi.
la terza mozione, intitolata Per una democrazia socialista in Europa fu presentata dal gruppo di Cossutta. Costruita su un impianto profondamente ortodosso ottenne solo il 3% dei consensi.
Il XX Congresso, tenutosi a Rimini nel febbraio del 1991, fu l'ultimo del PCI. Le mozioni che si contrapposero a questo Congresso furono sempre tre, anche se con schieramenti leggermente diversi:
la mozione di Occhetto, D'Alema e molti altri dirigenti, Per il Partito Democratico della Sinistra, che ottenne il 67,46% dei voti eleggendo 848 delegati.
una mozione intermedia, Per un moderno partito antagonista e riformatore, capeggiata da Bassolino, che ottenne il 5,76% dei voti eleggendo 72 delegati.
la mozione contraria alla nascita del nuovo partito, Rifondazione comunista, nata dall'accorpamento delle mozioni di Ingrao e Cossutta, ottenne il 26,77% dei voti eleggendo 339 delegati, cioè meno rispetto alla somma dei voti delle due mozioni presentate al precedente Congresso.

With Linux starting to be widely used in Automotive and Industrial, an increased number of PCIe RC (host) drivers are being added to the Linux Kernel. Linux provides a comprehensive PCI subsystem to be used by both the RC drivers and the PCI(e) device drivers.
In this presentation, Kishon and Vignesh will give an overview of the PCI(e) subsystem using the knowledge acquired during the development of PCIe RC driver for DRA7xx, explaining the overall architecture of the PCI(e) subsystem and the Linux PCI(e) subsystem internals on bus scanning, address space management, power management, message signaled interrupt handling, hotplug support and device tree binding. They will also share their ideas on improving the test infrastructure for PCI(e) in Linux Kernel.
