Never Back Down is a 2008 martial arts film starring Sean Faris, Amber Heard, Cam Gigandet, and Djimon Hounsou. It was theatrically released on March 14, 2008. The film's tagline is "Win or lose... Everyone has their fight".
The film is rated PG-13 for "mature thematic material involving intense sequences of fighting/violence, some sexuality, partying, and language – all involving teens". An unrated version called the "Extended Beat Down Edition", featuring nudity and more blood, was released on DVD on July 29, 2008.
Jake Tyler (Sean Faris) has recently moved from Iowa to Orlando, Florida with his mother, Margret (Leslie Hope), and younger brother, Charlie (Wyatt Smith), to support Charlie's shot at a professional tennis career. Jake was a star athlete on the football team at home, but in this new city, he is an outsider with a reputation for being a quick tempered brawler after an internet video of him starting a fight at one of his football games after a frustrated player from the opposing team taunted Jake about his father, who died in a drunk driving accident circulates around his new school.
Kings of Leon is an American rock band that formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2000. The band is composed of brothers Caleb Followill (b. January 14, 1982, lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Nathan Followill (b. June 26, 1979, drums, percussion, backing vocals) and Jared Followill (b. November 20, 1986, bass guitar, backing vocals), with their cousin Matthew Followill (b. September 10, 1984, lead guitar, backing vocals).
The band's early music was a blend of Southern rock and blues influences, but it has gradually expanded throughout the years to include a variety of genres and a more alternative, arena rock sound. Kings of Leon achieved initial success in the United Kingdom with nine Top 40 singles, two BRIT Awards in 2008, and all three of the band's albums at the time peaked in the top five of the UK Albums Chart. Their third album, Because of the Times, also reached the number one spot. After the release of Only by the Night in September 2008 the band achieved chart success in the United States. The singles "Sex on Fire", "Use Somebody", and "Notion" all peaked at number one on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart. The album was their first Platinum-selling album in the United States, and was also the best-selling album of 2008 in Australia, being certified platinum nine times. The band's fifth album, Come Around Sundown, was released on October 18, 2010. Their sixth album, Mechanical Bull, was released on September 24, 2013.
Won't Back Down may refer to:
"I Won't Back Down" is the first single from Tom Petty's first solo album, Full Moon Fever released in 1989. The song was written by Petty and Jeff Lynne, his writing partner for the album. It reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Album Rock Tracks chart for five weeks, starting the album's road to multi-platinum status.
Petty recalled the recording of this song to Mojo magazine: "At the session George Harrison sang and played the guitar. I had a terrible cold that day, and George went to the store and bought a ginger root, boiled it and had me stick my head in the pot to get the ginger steam to open up my sinuses, and then I ran in and did the take."
A message of defiance against unnamed forces of difficulty and possibly oppression, the lyric is set against a mid-tempo beat:
Due to its themes, the song was played often on American radio following the September 11 attacks. Petty and the Heartbreakers played a quiet but resolute version of the song at the America: A Tribute to Heroes telethon following the 2001 attacks.

Never Back Down 2- The Beatdown (2011) Movie
[Chorus:]
I ain't never, ever been the type to back down
Know exactly where to find me
I ain't hard to track down
Yeah, gotta keep it cool
Time to lay my hat down
Yeah I know I just arrived but it's time you sat down x2
[Jesty:]
In case you couldn't tell it from the way in which I walk
Or if you couldn't listen to the way in which I talk
I ain't never had a problem that I wasn't fit to solve
So if you can't resolve then you know who you should call
Some cats seek beef I don't wanna get involved
But if you play me wrong then you're bound to take a fall
Most of these cats thinkin they above the law
And pack a triple beam like you weigh a butterball
Got my back against the wall
But I'm not givin an inch to you villains
I was just sent to deliver music
And spit till you feel it
I got no gimmicks or image cause if I said it I live it
So if I said it I meant it
So I am destined to finish
Head of the independents
Deadin my inhibitions
Settin my inner vision to strike with out intermission
Better than independents with cheddar and better spendin
I'm better than ever whereever-ever I'm ready to get it
Cause I'm the realest who did it ever I said it again
Music is mine and I was really just usin a vision
Never let any one individual tell you it isn't
Especially in business
Cause industry indecision is typically in the endin
Simply never listen to entities that are missin
The grand scheme or simply missin my vision
Everything bout me was different
Followed my intuition
To pay off all my tuition
By gettin you all to listen to the music.
[Chorus]
[Jesty:]
They wanna call me a menace
To all the industry
Because I don't pretend to be
Somethin I've never been
Even when they wasn't into me
Heads wanted to finish me
Because I wanted them to see
The errors of their ways
And the problem with them mimicking
Exactly what they tend to see
Up on the television screen
The mainstream being and the corporate level imaging
I'll never let them get to me
I'll never settle mentally
For anything that? s less than the best till the end of me.
