More freezing conditions to come as parts of Tasmania turn white in spring cold snap

Police are continuing to issue new ice and snow road warnings across Tasmania.
A deep low pressure system south of Tasmania is expected to continue, delivering cold temperatures, showers and gusty conditions this week.
Tasmanians received a reminder on Tuesday morning that the cold season was not quite over, with a cold snap causing snowfalls as low as 100 metres.
Snow settled to 100 to 200 metres about the west, Central Plateau, and the far south on Tuesday morning, but will rise to 400 metres on Tuesday evening.
The snowline is expected to lift to 1,000 metres on Wednesday, then lower again to around 200 metres on Thursday evening behind a cold front in the afternoon.
Significant snow depths are likely about the west, Central Plateau, and far south over the week that may lead to prolonged road closures.
Hobart's kunanyi/Mt Wellington recorded its coldest night this year at a frosty minus 6.4 degrees Celsius.
There have been no reports of accidents caused by snow and ice, but police are warning drivers to take extreme care.
Black ice has been reported on Midland Highway at Constitution Hill.

The Bureau of Meteorology's Anna Forest said Tasmanians should stay rugged up.
Ms Forrest said Mount Wellington could also expect more snow later in the week.
"Normally the wind manages to keep it slightly warmer than you'd expect it to be on the top of the mountain but minus 6 is about the coldest we've seen this year," she said.
Ms Forrest also said keen hikers might want to think again before going anywhere near the Hartz Mountains.
"If you're thinking about heading down into the Hartz Mountains to go walking it's minus 3, so I'd think twice about that one."
Temperatures in southern Tasmania will reach double digits "if we're lucky".
Ben Lomond in the state's north received an additional 10 centimetres overnight.
Four ski lifts will be operating today but vehicles will need snow chains.
