Anarchy requires participation. Engaging in projects that will help our culture remain relevant into the next century is an almost innate intuition for many of us. Some even espouse dreams of land projects, federations, and worker cooperatives. Yet, wishing does not make them so.

From the Perspective of a Non-Student Participant
As students head back to school for the fall, it’s a great time for young anarchists to form student organizations. But what if you’re not a student? Many young people can’t afford to go to school, yet have no better way to meet other intelligent people their age who also desire to create a better world. The following narrative traces the history of anarchist participation in student struggles in Atlanta through the eyes of a non-student participant. It shows how non-students can work with student groups to build momentum that spreads far beyond the limits of campus. To those who call this “outside agitation,” we counter: who has more right to occupy a school than those who already can’t afford to attend?
Contrary to some rumors, the 2017 Houston Anarchist Bookfair will go on as planned!! Our only serious setback from the storm is that we are behind on promotion, and a lot of people in the city have a lot on their plates this week, us included. So we want your help getting the word out for the next three weeks!
Since October 2015, Bloomington Anarchist Black Cross has been providing consistent monthly funds to anarchist prisoners throughout the United States via our Anarchist Prisoner War Fund. We are now asking for help keeping this project going strong into the future.

Virtually everyone in the united states claims to support freedom of speech and expression. When debate arises around attempts by certain individuals to exercise this freedom, however, one frequently finds purported free speech advocates among those hoping to suppress the speech of others. Unfortunately, the position taken by many anarchists and leftists on this issue is no more principled than that taken by more mainstream conservatives and liberals.
