A Canberra motorcyclist was clocked riding more than 70 kilometres over the speed limit in Gundaroo at the weekend.
The Nicholls man was caught travelling 171km/h in a 100km/h zone while riding east on Murrumbateman Road.
New South Wales Police caught the 50-year-old about 1.46pm on Saturday. He was handed a traffic infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.
New South Wales Police said the force was unable to suspend or confiscate his licence or number plate because he was registered in the ACT.
