Growing up in Perth as the eldest of three girls, Marnie spent her first job filling out six minute time sheets in a chartered accounting firm, before being seduced by the bright lights of the advertising world and the promise of the legendary "six-hour" lunch.
Marnie worked in agency land as a media planner/buyer for Initiative Media before moving into sales at The West Australian newspaper, working her way through the ranks from sales executive to online sales manager. She eventually landed her dream job (at the time) as Agency and Magazine Sales Manager in 2001.
Marnie joined Fairfax Media two and a half years ago as State Sales Manager for the print side of the business - working on The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, FCN Community Network and Fairfax Regional Network - before moving into her current role.
Marnie lives by the motto that "it's not gossip, we're networking" and, when not by the water cooler, loves to travel, entertain friends and family and, only sometimes, uses her secret credit card to shop online.
